Why did KillMart smell so bad last year I think?
Maybe the rotting zombie flesh?

One of the benefits of buying early is you can be certain to pick The Beast tour time slot you prefer.
Anyone care to share which time slot they chose? I haven't purchased my ticket yet, but I did join a club.

Yeah I mean CP didn't make much fuss over adding MELT to the park last year. They told us in Winter chill out and that was about it.
MELT as in GRILLED CHEESE???

You'll find some stuff from the PKI era over on KIExtreme.com. The site is all but dead, but worth a gander.

Either way, big props!
Some of the props are small but that doesn't make them any less cooler.

^^^Agreed. Just speculation. That was back in the OG KI days. I wish I'd been born about twenty years earlier to have seen that. And maybe catch a Racer ride with Don and a Beast ride with Carl.
Sigh.

I realize that The Beast is a one of a kind coaster made in house. However, I can't help but wonder what kind of coaster (Giga or otherwise) current park engineers/maintenance staff would come up with given their experience in running and repairing our favorite rides. If the sky was the limit, what would they do? Hmmm...

I just want something exciting and more aggressive. They have perfect "tweener" coasters. B&M is nice and all but sometimes just flat out boring. I want that Intamin Giga! =)
Diamondback? Boring? Nah. LOL. I've swallowed a handful of bugs on that coaster.
WGSG, perhaps too easily impressed.

I think they should put in something like electro spin at carowinds, a high level flat ride , there are no flats in rivertown, I’d like them to put in another top spin but I know that’s not happening , but it would be cool to see something like mystery mine .
Welcome to KIC!

I LOVE Xtreme Skyflyer. I kinda feel like if it's moved, it would fit nicelly in X-Base, no?

Do you have to sign a waiver before you watch it?
I would love this! Maybe they could do it the old Action Theatre! You'd have to sign a whiplash waiver!

I think that's a statement that could be applied to the entire park lol
I can totally appreciate that. However, Oktoberfest seems to have shrunk over the years. I'd love to see something new over there.

Replace the Octoberfest themeing? Why does it need to go in a different direction?
It doesn't have to go a different direction. It just needs some love to get it back to where it was. An alternative option would just be to love on the area in any form - Oktoberfest or otherwise.

What do friend foods smell llike? LOL
Well, obviously friend foods smell better than your own food. And they usually taste better too.
I meant fried* foods. LOL

You know it's the off season when you miss the crowd sounds (and coaster screams) and the smell of friend foods, desserts and sunscreen.

I love the Oktoberfest theme as much as the next person, but honestly the theming that was once there is so far gone, it would almost make sense to go a completely different route. It's the smallest "area" of the park.

Running back to the screenshot showing the formation of "GIGA"
The only people who have true access to that area are people from Train or Mystic Timbers (No one from Foods needs to be back there, but that doesn't mean they wouldn't be.) It was more than likely the Mystic crew since they didn't have their ride for the night because of the snow. As far as I know, train had no involvement.
I had planned early on (weeks in advance) to go to the KIC meetup on closing day of Winterfest. This was when the temps first started dipping super low, and there was a lot of talk of the park not opening for the night. I made a point to keep an eye on park social media postings, keep up with my KI friends and the KI Pass Holders Facebook group and even called guest services to ensure the park would be open. It was decided very early in the day that no rides would operate. Boo Blasters was the only actual ride that was running. Ride ops were told not to even report to work. This sort of eliminates the idea that it could have been the KI/MV RR or Mysti’s crew(s).

First CoasterStock? @whengodsaysgo
Yes it is! After meeting up with so many of you and getting involved with the coaster enthusiast community, this will be my first event. I'm still debating on which club to join, but I'm excited for what the future holds. I'll be beside myself I'm sure. Hope you guys are ready for that!! lol

Ticket sales end a week earlier this year, on May 6, so don't put it off until last minute!
There is also an option this year, for $10, to have all your swag mailed to you prior to the event and skip check-in.
This.
Is.
So.
Exciting

For nostalgia reasons, I miss Phantom Theatre and Kenton's Cove Keelboat Canal. Fantastic memories on those two.
I think the biggest shame was not doing SOB right. I rode it on it's opening year, and again later without the loop. I was much younger and could handle rougher coasters much better - it was never smooth. I'm with @Bpat1983 that it could have been done better.
Edit: Also TR:TR/Crypt. That's such a fantastic show building. Although I love Madame Fatale's, it could be used for something epic, no?

Let's name it Orville and Wilbur's Wild GiGa. LOL. Or the Wright's Wild Wonderful _______. I'm in favor of this location, color and a Wright-themed name.
