  1. As far as sunglasses - I've always been a severe squinter, as shown in most of my childhood photos. Sunglasses in the park are a must for me for any level of comfort. I just tend to buy ones that fit snugly and not spend more than $5 on them.
  2. I'm not going to lie - I totally broke out the heating pad on my toes when I got home. Still worth it!
  3. Cold enough to justify wearing a coat??!!??
  4. I remember seeing a museum-like exhibition of props and costumes from Titanic. I was in love. I also remember during either the first or second season of the Paramount years that there were Klingons walking around interacting with guests. One specifically stopped on IS and told my school-years-BFF and me that the meat on our pizza was dead.
  5. As a proud Daytonian, I'd like to say that I am in major favor of adding the Wright name to the (possible) GiGa, sans the height. As an amateur conspiracy theorist, I can say that I know folks who have worked deep on the base and done construction on the base have said that there was talk of some Area 51 tenants (wink wink ) that reside(d) at the base, which would totally tie in to the FoF theme. Another extra-terrestrial themed ride wouldn't bother me at all. As for color, I'm super fond of orange, which doesn't match with the cammo idea. Oh, well. WGSG, throwing in her two cents.
  6. Have fun, @malem! My dream trip is to fly to Cali and do the same circuit as you and then drive back on Route 66. I hope you have a blast! Say hi to Alice (in Wonderland) for me!
  7. Probably because you were busy rubbing elbows with ol’ Ebeneezer! Lol! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Double bump. Looking at you, @chugh43!!!!
  9. I think there should be an exclusive spot for Scrooge and his fans like me! Bah Humbug! But I will say this, Winterfest has helped diminish the holiday blues, just a little.
  10. I asked for a selfie (it was on FB). I asked if we could make mean faces. He said, "I know I can, but I can't be sure about you." I love Scrooge. Bah Humbug!
  11. I'm pretty sure it was all flour based, like @electricsun mentioned. Nah. I'm not QUITE that cool. Today I'm even having some pepperoni on my pizza. But by and large, I stick to fish. lol
  12. Also to be noted - I'm a pescatarian, eating primarily just fish rather than other meats. I found lots of options at the buffet. The veggie pasta was fantastic. The dessert selection was fantastic. But the best part was the view.
  13. @MDMC01 This is so what I imagined you looked like saying that!
  14. I want to say I saw an interview with Don Helbig where he mentioned the start up temp needing to be 23. I could totally be wrong, of course.
  15. @Gannersdaddy Thank you so much for sharing this! I had fun spending a little time with you and loved seeing "Ganner" get so excited. I don't know why a MT photo with mittens makes me so happy.... but it totally does!
  16. It was so fun hanging out with you, @acole5292 I'm glad to see you posting!
  17. It also wouldn't make much sense to implement Fast Lane being that MT is the only coaster open for Winterfest. My group also rode it and it took three cycles to get us all through. None of us rode together, albeit a couple of us ended up on the same train, rows apart. We merely filled holes. I have also been at the park solo and been at the bottom of the steps before the station and back a few yards when the separator called for single riders. I passed multiple other guests and probably "cut" five cycles or so, at the op's discretion.
  18. The Beast, IMHO is hands down the best coaster at KI.
  19. I had SO MUCH FUN hanging out with my KIC friends! I'm composing a trip report myself soon. I'm super pumped for Coasterstock now!
  20. It would make even more sense since Demon was in that area to begin with. The name Demon also goes with the inadvertent theme in AZ. Invertigo would be perfect! I am also of the (seemingly unpopular) opinion that Amazon Falls should stay right where it is. @harmony29 - That would be the Smurf Ride you're referring to. Not scary at all. Although I do remember a recurring dream where Gargamel (Sp?) would jump into my boat and try to get me.... LOL! A YouTube search should take you right back down memory lane.
  21. The Beast - IMHO, the crest of the second lift hill provides one of the best views of the park. That combined with the anticipation of the double helix and roaring of the tunnels makes me grin like kid in a candy store. Just about every time I ride it, I'm still grinning by the time we reach the station. Diamondback - After that first drop, that first airtime moment is fantastic. It instigates the cheesy grin when my legs pop up. I love that my feet dangle - it's just me and that restraint and the mercy of the Lord. LOL! I also love how it roars on the tracks. The Bat - The view from the first lift hill! Invertigo - The pause between the first and second half of the ride. I liken it the feeling when a kid is being thrust into the air in a swimming pool by an adult. I have no idea why. Mysti - That first hill and the crazy sound it makes! I also love that fun airtime curve right before the tunnel, hitting the break run before the shed, singing along with whatever the radio plays, and hoping a tree guy (my fave ending.) .....To be Continued.....
  22. I'm with @VortexBFForever - It's a placement issue. I enjoy BLSC. I've not really ever been of the opinion that it deserves the centerpiece status it currently holds. Ideally, it could be scooted to another spot. Ideally, but not likely.
