  1. Red Train near the middle is still painful too. -S
  2. I'm not too big on ice shows, but I was rather impressed with the range of manuvers they were pulling off onstage. Good stuff. -S
  3. Cedar Fair is not exactly in the black. Taking in PP was pretty huge, and that is going to make them cut corners. If anything, they should at least change the logo on the sign. -S
  4. For shame! You can't go to CP and not ride Gemini! But at least you rode Demon Drop, which I think is a great ride. -S

Me, my lady, and a couple of my freinds went to the park yesterday, and I will say that I was pretty suprised with how things were handled. Here's a bulleted list of what I noticed at the park: -The Molten Lava guy on Express was repainted or something -New SOB still beats the crap out of you, not the same without the loop. Makes me want to weep. I might be hallucinating, but were there more trees there than before? -Eiffel Tower changes light colors during the night ('Scuse me for being slow to the party. :-p) -Ice show was nice -Tomb Raider was closed, and supposedly under repair -Firehawk is awesome. Though it did have problems with one train all day. Half capacity and full capacity all day. -Ride Supervisors don't wear white shirts anymore. -Some shops were redone and revamped. Other than it being hot, it was an enjoyable day. Staff was freindly and I was suprised to see that Cedar Fair improved some things. Though not all of Scooby was running at full steam. Oh well. Still a good day. -S
  6. I'd say about 30 minutes stuck on the lift of Racer during Easter Sunday back in '02. That was fun. -S
  7. Lord, I bet that was a traumatic experience. Hope the guy is alright. On top of that; since this is a CF park now, KI should have some misters in line. Why not?
  8. Looks interesting. Though I'm suprised that they made a coaster themed to skateboarding. Lord, I hope skaters aren't ticked about this. O_O;;.... -S
  9. Yeah, sounds more like a FEC than anything. But will it have a Boa Squeeze? -S
  10. But speculation is the fun part! I'd put my bets on the retheme of TRTR, and possibly a new flat. We JUST got Firehawk, so chances for a brand new coaster are slim.
  11. That might be a good spot, but the father has it in the same spot almost. I'm just worried about the capacity with those new trains. -S
  12. Good lord, what has happened to Six Flags' Safety Standards lately? Just sickening. -S
  13. Dang, that's going to make things a little more interesting. Look out, Castaway Bay! GWL means business! -S
  14. While it does seem odd to be selling SOB merchandise, it is a good sign that they're gearing up to re-open it again. Who wants to take bets that they'll try to market it as "new and improved" ? -S

Wow, that's depressing. TR without sound effects is like driving without tires. Totally stupid. Cobra was a good coaster, and Delirium is a good successor to it's land plot. You don't see me complaining. Glad to know you had fun, deb. -S
  16. I'd go, but I'd rather wait until full season so I can ride it with little wait. Weekdays are my freind. -S
  17. I really wouldn't want to venture into taser territory. That would just open up massive controversy on both ends. But I guess they had to be subdued somehow. Either way, some of these kids need to grow up and learn to behave themselves in a public place like an amusement park. They should know better. -S
  18. At least Kinzel's keeping a positive outlook. GL, on the other hand, needs some serious help. I'm still curious what they're going to do about the Marquee. -S
  19. Awesome Ryan, nice to know you enjoyed your trip. I don't see how you enjoyed Disaster Transport that much. The ride itself was alright, but the theming is just awful. Makes no sense at all. I will agree with you on Wildcat and Magnum, though. Wildcat was a wonderful suprise, and Magnum is one of the best airtime coasters around. You really should have ridden Gemini, though. They have some insane "head choppers", I believe. -S
  20. I believe the longest wait I can remember at KI was SOB at about 2 1/2 hours. As for CP, it was my first trip up there back in 2004, and we went straight to Dragster. Unbeknownst to me, I happened to go when ACE Coaster Con was going on. I waited about 3-4 hours for Dragster. A rollback would have been nice.
  21. Thank you! Those days are just horrible for anyone who went! When was that one day where KI actually had to turn people away in 2002? Was it in June? -S
  22. You know, I have to agree with you on that one. It's a coaster site, not an Apple fansite. Aqua doesn't need to be everywhere anyway. -S
  23. I'm always for seeing new info and photos on new coasters, but running commentary is pretty freakin' lame. Can't wait to ride Maverick though, looks sweet. -A
  24. Wow, that's awesome! I'd never think I'd ever see that. Keep it up. -S
