  1. They may have the Parks on the main page, but they haven't done anything to their respective PP homepages just yet. We'll probably get something at the end of the season or near it. ~S~
  2. I guess it depends on who you ask. Some would think it's the worst thing alive, and would show a defect in the ride to them in some way. But to others it would be pretty fun. I saw a few rollbacks when I last went to Cedar Point, and to me it looked pretty fun. I guess the best thing I can associate it with is going backwards on a sled, only with a little more control. I would like to be on a rollback one of these days... ~S~
  3. If you really want to get down to it, rollbacks on Dragster are actually pretty fun to watch and be on. I can't say I've actually been able to be on a rollback, but watching them and the anticipation behind it is just a game in itself. ~S~
  4. Sheesh, took 'em long enough. Though that'd mean the employees would have to get to work a heck of a lot earlier. Slightly better for the guests, a little screwy for the employees. ~S~
  5. Yeah, I kinda doubt that too. If there's one thing that isn't going to be falling victim to a CF makeover, it's The Beast family. ~S~
  6. But what's to become of PKI's sign? They're going to have to de-Bronson-ize it sometime... ~S~
  7. Good luck trying to get THAT thing sold. Do I smell a photoshop war a-brewin'? ~S~
  8. Or wait! How about a 75 foot rocket coaster for the kiddies? /sarcasm The things we see on this board... ~S~
  9. You look back at all this... and it all comes back to who he works for; The Sandusky Register. I think it is kind of natural to have some kind of local pride, but 'ol Ben does take it a little far with not making accurate statements about Kings Island when there's a good chance that he probably hasn't even set foot at KI. The Cincinnati Enquirer probably went bonkers when news rang out about the sale. I didn't see the paper after the sale, but I bet it made front page as it did for the Dayton Daily News. There was probably some other blowhard who works for the Enquirer who made hackneyed statements about CP. All I'm saying is that some journalists just don't give a darn about what other people think, and just write their opinion. Save it for the opinion column, bub. ~S~
  10. I did find that strange that we got ours first. But it seems that the giants don't have as much luck as the standard Huss flats. maXair was behaving like Delirium on opening day.. so I don't think it's just Delirium that has all the problems. I think it's a giant ride-wide thing. Oh well. Maybe Huss will come to and tweak it. Who knows.. ~S~
  11. While I do have my concerns about what direction CF might be taking KI, I think this could be a good or bad thing. One thing that makes me wonder about what they're going to do to some of the themed rides (IE Tomb Raider, IJ, among others). As far as I know, CF doesn't really have a good track record when it comes to that. I think Disaster Transport is a perfect example of attempting to theme, and abrubptly failing. Other than that... I think it's a halfway decent idea. Let's just hope they try to listen to the communities surrounding each park, and take it to heart. ~S~
  12. For as long as I can remember, FOF has been a pretty popular ride. It's had pretty good staying power, and I think it would probably tick a substantial amount of people off. I'm pretty sure that it's had a pretty good maintanence record, and the theming is in good shape. I just don't see a viable reason to remove it. ~S~
  13. Wow, that IS bad. Reading further down that thread, I would have felt slightly unsafe. They didn't ride anything, and I don't blame them. I really do feel sorry for that park, someone needs to give the poor thing some TLC. ~S~

    Drop Zone

Nice... but let's hope the paint dries quickly. XD ~A~
  15. One would assume if you got the 4-pack before a specific date, a Gold Pass upgrade would be slapped on there. They've done it in the past... though I could be wrong. ~S~
  16. Call me a tool, but I like MF for the sheer speed and dynamic turns. That and that initial drop is just insane. Though you'd have to be insane to not ride Magnum, it's an Arrow Classic! The bunny hills alone are worth the wait in line.
  17. They're taking out a coaster (Ghoster Coaster) and replacing it with a newer one (Avatar). I really doubt that the coaster count in the area will change. ~S~
  18. I don't know much about either, but I hope the switch is a smooth one. At least Fisher has experience at PKI, which is always a plus. ~A~
  19. Strangely, I have the '92 Map and Brochure lying around somewhere. ~A~
  20. That one should win something. Highly creative, and full of pure absurdity. It's what makes it entertaining. I have to second on the FOF Drum lighting, quite fitting for the theme you were going for. I just wish Mallard Man would have done more to the villan than he did. ~A~
  21. OK, whoever thought that The Beast was going to go to Carowinds was half awake or something... But I almost keeled over when she mentioned that Delirium was going back into operation this season. That thing is such a pain... All in all it was a good tour and event, and Klocke's weird little question had Maureen baffled. ~S~
  22. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's Jeff. Can't mistake that face, I suppose. ~S~
  23. It is a shame to see Jeff go. He really did his best to go out of his way to bring PKI to life. I'm sure that if Maureen takes over his position, she will keep what Jeff had going alive. Though I am a loss for words, and I wish the best of luck to him and his future. ~S~
  24. Yeah, I'm sure that some of these evacuees will use this to their advantage. It's only right that other parks should follow suit. Very good move by Paramount Parks. ~S~
  25. My Family will be taking a trip to GL on thursday.
