  1. Oh boy here I go. To me, removing Corkscrew is a really, REALLY bad idea. Not only does it look amazing through the midway, but It'd be really hard to replace it with something. It's just so tiny and barely takes up any space. Not to mention, it's literally the only inverting ride at CP that is 48 inches. Not to mention, it's pretty dang small too. It's a pretty good ride to introduce inversions. Remove it, smaller folks can't ride and anyone who's scared of heights/drops are now stuck with Rougarou, Steel Vengeance, Maverick... (And I've personally have never had a bad ride on Corkscrew, just the other day I found it to be a pretty smooth ride. The trains aren't so great though.) I'm also really against removing CCMR. CCMR is a great starter coaster in general. And look at what else is in that same area. Steel Vengeance and Maverick. CCMR imo is a perfect fit for that area to help keep a good balance of family rides. Yeah it's a duller coaster but by no means does that mean you should remove it. Not every coaster needs to be the most thrilling thing on earth. A park such as Cedar Point just isn't a complete park without a classic Mine Train ride. And, try to ignore my username here, the Arrows at CP are to me one of the few things there that truly give CP some character. Not to mention, they all still serve a great purpose, which is being ride an entire family can enjoy. CCMR, Iron Dragon, Gemini, Corkscrew, start removing them and the family aspect of Cedar Point is just lost. And noticing how Cedar Point as started to market to families more, what's the point of marketing towards families if there aren't any family rides? In the end I'd have to go with Rougarou if I had to choose a ride to go. I've given this coaster so many chances to try and redeem itself but each time I get off wishing I rode anything else in the park instead. To me the floorless trains have done zero to improve the ride with the exception of sitting down.
  2. Am I the only one who thinks a Vortex redo by RMC would be super ugly and should be done by someone else?
  3. I think you're giving too little credit to the GP community, lots of people LOVE The Beast the way it is.
  4. It's old, it's outdated, but I'd argue those are no reasons to get rid of it. I'd seriously miss the ride, as it's one of my favorites there. And it's still one of the more popular coasters there. Really don't think there's a good reason to demolish it.
  5. Yes, I know that, I was just wondering what caused it.
  6. Vortex got stuck in the station today. Anybody know what happened?
  7. I've always thought about making that section of the park into a Monster themed area. Or something like it. You got Banshee, you got Bat, I'd like to see what would happen if KI kept going in that direction.
  8. "The Bat is going to be demolished next year. They already took out some of the brakes and track, just look at the ground over there!"
  9. How about Firehawk not having the loudest lift hill on earth
  10. Whelp it was good while it lasted
  11. Corkscrew because it's pretty obvious what it's referencing to.
  12. Still would like to see Vekoma try a giga coaster not gonna lie
  13. Not to mention its a classic styled racing/dueling coaster in which guests can really interact with each other, which arent really made that much anymore.
  14. Cedar Point doesnt really need to remove any coaster to add another one.
  15. So I got back from KI about 2 hours ago, and yeah I actually agree about Vortex being "smoother" than Banshee, it's weird!
  16. really banking on the "GCI on a beach" I've seen thrown around.
  17. Mmyes if we can get a revamp the Arrow suspended that'd be greeeaat. I'd also like to see Chance/Morgan do another Arrow Retrack, but instead keep the same layout and update the trains.
  18. I honestly hated the "Ride Warrior" commercials. "I was BORN on a roller coaster!" eeeeuggghhhhhhhh
  19. I thought something seemed different on Vortex! I only got to ride it once, and when I first heard it was down I was thinking I would miss my chance to ride it! Nice to know it got new wheels.
  20. Just going to bump in and say Happy Birthday to Vortex!
  21. https://www.vekoma.com/index.php/198-press-release-vekoma-sansei From Vekoma's website
  22. I was so bored I looked at the Kings Island Webcams only to finally see Mystic Timbers testing again! AHHHH
