  1. Think about what the park is doing economically. They've invested heavily in the last few years into keeping the park interesting. Yet park attendance has not risen to any substantial degree. I think the next ride is a Giga. Nobody would've gone to KD had it not been for i305, Carowinds isn't worth it without Fury, Canada's Wonderland had one good ride before Leviathan. The difference is King's Island already has a really good coaster collection, so a Giga would make it a serious location for enthusiasts. Just my opinion, it could just be another Dive Coaster. (Edit: when I say these parks aren't worth it, I'm talking about traveling long distances to ride these rides, not being a local to these places)
  2. Fair enough. Has there been any sign of disassembly to Firehawk even?
  3. I would think if the next Giga coaster is being built, there would be track at Clermont Steel by this point. Given the scale of the project. Has anyone driven by to see if there's any Hyper Coaster track at all?
  4. I would assume it has something to do with unnecessary wear and tear on them during the warm seasons. Somebody probably did the math and concluded they'd have to replace it more often if they left it on. Just my guess.
  5. Maybe something compact with a dive element like Hangtime at Knotts.
  6. 1. Mystic Timbers 2. Beast(number one at night) 3. Diamondback 4. Banshee 5. Vortex 6. Racer 7. Flight of Fear 8. Backlot 9. Adventure Express 10. The Bat
  7. The upward pattern people see is based off 3 gigas. Two of which were only 305 and 306 feet tall. They only topped it with Fury. The other two are the shortest Gigas in the industry.
  8. Being that nothing in the park reaches over 315 feet tall, I don't necessarily think they'll top Fury. Cause what would it mean for the park to have a Giga that's taller than the centerpiece of the park. If they did it, it would have to be very tastefully done.
  9. I don't see them going for that mainly because steeper drops are shorter in length for the most part, and part of the appeal to B&M Gigas is their huge first drop that never ends. i305 has an almost vertical drop and it's nowhere near as long as Fury or MF etc. edit: i305 from the top of the hill to the bottom of the drop is about 4 seconds, Fury is roughly 6-7. That's a big difference when your brain is on adrenaline.
  10. Can we have a green Giga themed to Recyclops from The Office? (edit: I hope more than 2 people get this joke)
  11. You know the GP will say "I loved Firehawk and they replaced it with a bigger Diamondback. I miss Paramount. Bring back Son of Beast".
  12. I think "Wooden Coaster Capital" would suit us well. Especially if we ever *hypothetically* got an RMC ground up. Think about it. A family wooden coaster, a racing coaster, a terrain wooden coaster, a GCI wooden coaster, and an RMC topper track. That would make easily make us the world class park we want to be. Not even including our steel coasters like, Diamondback, Banshee, Vortex, etc.
  13. I have a feeling that all the GP I know will be upset it's not Son of Beast regardless which B&M model we get.
  14. I don't care how tall or fast it is. Just as long as it has a "95 Foot Tall Loop". (Sorry I'm in a silly mood today)
  15. That'll be the splashdown element before the 0g stall into the break run.
  16. "We're getting a 399ft Trex Giga with a 500ft drop underground with a midcourse launch and 49 inversions. 8 Miles of track and 150 MPH at first drop. It'll go over the front gate and wrap around the park twice." (the animation will of course be in Planet Coaster)
  17. Being assigned to ride with a very large sweaty guy cause you’re in an odd number group. Any body else? Just me? Okay.
  18. Oof. Literally have never been to a Cedar Fair park with less drink stations than KI.
  19. “Most unused land” might work for us.
  20. I think with Time Traveler and Copperhead Mack has a bigger chance of making a splash in the US than Intamin. I think Intamin is in decline as far as American parks are concerned.
  21. So we're going with Savage Squad Fam 395 (sponsored by Fortnite) then?
  22. I would say being it's between 300-399 and it's a full circuit coaster I'd consider it a Giga. Kinda like how we consider Fury a Giga and Diamondback a Hyper even tho they're classified as the same model of coaster. So I'd say Red Force doesn't quite make the Strata category.
  23. Unfortunately Red Force in Spain is the world's tallest Giga at 367 feet tall, as well as the fastest at 112mph. So we probably won't be seeing King's Island get the tallest or fastest Giga. I could see longest happening tho.
  24. It would have to be 80s themed all the way. It can't take itself too seriously.
