"Timber Hawk: The new wooden flying coaster at Kings Island" I will literally shred my pass if we keep getting stupid names.

Their article says "A majority of coaster enthusiasts on forums like KI Central believe Vortex will have its last rides this fall. Why?". Pretty sure last time I checked the poll it was roughly 70 percent for Firehawk. Gotta love the GP media.

"Jimmy Neutron's Atomic Flyer" was added. Not to King's Island but hey you didn't say it had to be.

Just the fact they're being so dramatic about this announcement makes me think that whatever is replacing this coaster will be massive and this is just step one of their marketing and teasing. Remember when dinos left and they had no plans for the land they didn't make a big deal. This is different.

Maybe we can create a fundraiser to give them the long awaited bench and trash can duo that they're lacking in their lineup.

Maybe they'll finally get that BRAND NEW PARK BENCH they've been waiting for.

On their twitter they say the 'departing' coaster. Departing is defined as "leave, typically in order to start a journey.", they never said removed or demolished. So maybe the Kentucky Kingdom-Firehawk theory is plausible. Time will only tell. (I know this probably crosses into a whole different thread of discussion but still)

The leaked document from a couple months ago shows construction for 2018-20 so maybe that's included within this?

So claws, red yellow grey and black flowers, and eerily calm air. Also Kentucky Kingdom's new ride is called the Kentucky Flyer with the slogan "what's in the wind". Just makes you think... (side note): Just wanna add that there's 11 chairs and Firehawk has been there eleven years. Probably nothing tho.

Hopefully it's not that long because of drawn out Helixes and mile long breakruns like every other b&m in the last five years.

I think we'll have a better entrance & parking lot, a Giga, a Dive, and an assortment of flats and new restaurants. (I also am really hoping for a Mack Launch Coaster someday)

Honestly I'd love next coaster to be around 6-7,000 feet of track(that is if it's a Giga). For example, I love i305 but it's way too short and the trims kill it when it should've had another thousand feet or so of speed. Things like that just suck so I hope we get a good long woods/terrain coaster.

Agreed. Having ridden Fury about 12 times, and intimidator about 6-8 they couldn't be more different. Same restraints and track type but they don't even feel similar. On the other hand Leviathan and Behemoth don't look to be elementally all that different.

I wonder if they're gonna top Fury or if we're just gonna get like a Leviathan level Giga. Which don't get me wrong Leviathan is great, but it's not Fury.

I would love a healthy blend of i305 elements and fury's weird unique airtime moments.

That weird jerky part of Vortex before the two loops where it banks then straightens then banks again.

I think it's my new number one. When a ride makes me out of breath and crying of laughter by the end every time I rode it, I'd say it's my favourite at that point.

I was actually there those days! Only complaint was rain and the second day Steel Vengeance went down 3 times while I was in line. (one train operations didn't help)

I would be upset and reasonably nostalgic, but if we got another world class coaster in it's place i'd be okay.

Better than an old Arrow Looper IMO

I hope someday we could get like a Dive in Vortex's place. It would be a beautiful view of Coney Mall. As for a Giga, something more in the woods hopefully.

I chose my words poorly. I mean to imply we will never be the roller coaster capital such as they are. More along those lines.
