  1. I thought the same thing before I realised what it was; they're pretty popular outside of the US from what I've seen and I have only heard about them a small amount. I'm not sure the layout, but going off of the current layouts of family boomerangs it will probably have a helix and the normal two spikes (if you can call them that considering the one hill doesn't have a catch car lift).
  2. Same here, and no; this was taken from ImportGenius, which with what I've heard, also makes sense. That is true, I didn't even notice that as I rushed to post this.
  3. What are your guys' thoughts on this? I'm terrifically glad because Holiday World needs more family coasters, especially with the closure of Raging Rapids!
  4. I've been fond of this especially after whatever coaster we get (wishful thinking says next year), Soak City hasn't had a new attraction since 2016 if I recall. Could absolutely use some love, maybe retheme it entirely to some sort of Little Miami River theming? So many ideas.
  5. Video file doesn't seem to be working sadly. Do not disturb the forbidden temple, or else you will pay!
  6. The things they get done in a few weeks are insane. I can't wait to see the finished product; it'll be here before we know it.
  7. Looking all over yesterday to see if there was a POV of Zambezi Zinger out yet lol. I hear a slight breeze-like sound but nothing noticeable to be honest; though it's hard to say.
  8. ^ This Wherever there's something sweet to be had the bees are on it lol
  9. Possibly like one of those higher quality vending machines where you could (in theory) scan your prestige pass and get a drink via the tube that collects it and dispenses it into a little door? Also in order to prevent abuse it would have only so many uses per few hours or so. However this is a big what if - installing these could be pricey or complicated.
  10. I wish it does return honestly. If we get lucky, the bad apples won't abuse the drinks again and we can have it once more. Very convenient when you need to relax and get a water before heading over to FoF for that air conditioning + ride on a 87 degree day lol
  11. I remember someone saying that they were removed this year due to people abusing privileges; but in my mind I couldn't remember if they had anything else so I just put such. I just remember those couches with the tables, chips, drinks, the TVs with sports on, and my mind somehow wants to tell me that there were ceiling fans as well but I'm not too sure. I was in the lounge very scarcely lol
  12. Getting a lot done in such a short timespan already; I'm hopeful for this year. I wonder if they'll have TV's and such like last season lol
  13. No worries then, however it is sad to see it go; in my opinion it was one of the better SLC's. I didn't know that it had been already removed from the website, much less the map. Must already be making the way for demolition.
  14. Just as a general announcement or do we have a date for when it closes? Gonna have to make a trip down this summer to Kentucky just for one more ride.
  15. Does anyone know what this building is for or at least has an idea of what it is? I saw it during opening day and in construction footage but I'm not sure at all. Initial thoughts were some form of storage, operator building, or something with Adventure Express' new entrance/exit.
  16. Yeah about 25 or so (I think 26 cause if I remember it was '82-'08), and I'm not too sure the main reason as that was just speculation on my part. It sort of makes sense if that was the reason officially but it still confuses me a bit.
  17. To be fair though, Maverick's heartline roll in theory wasn't rough on the riders; but rather it was too stressful on the track and would make upkeep because of wear a nightmare. Perhaps it was a situation like that in which the track could've became a repetitive pain to work on or somehow the blue trains would become damaged over time because of the reversal? Backwards Mystic in back row would be absolutely more intense than Banshee or Invertigo, no doubt
  18. If I remember correctly, and this is all allegedly; PTC preferred the cars to face forwards instead of backwards because of more stress being applied to the track.
  19. Hello everyone, it has been a while since I have been on here - a few years to be specific. I had some personal issues arise and I needed to take some time away from the internet as a whole but now I can happily say I am back to KIC where I belong. I left this site about two years ago and I forgot my login info, so after a hassle of shifting through info I've finally found it.

I will get back to posting regularly (at least as much as I can), and I haven't stopped being a KI enthusiast in the years time I was away; so do not worry!

Thank you all for this amazing forum.

  20. Are we gonna have to create a program just like Orion so we can get away from COVID-19?
  21. It could work well , seeing as it could be themed to testing jets or other craft, preferably the Lockheed Martin SR-72 UAV (works with the '72) which is a hypersonic aircraft. The only downside is that the UAV is unmanned, so any other craft would fit but I don't really know. I also agree that the height would be a disturbance, but I just picked that up because I was focused on the slingshot debate and didn't really have anything else to think about at that time. Here is the Wikipedia article on the Lockheed Martin SR-72: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_Martin_SR-72
  22. I S T H A T A J O J O R E F E R E N C E ? I'm finally not the only one that watches JoJo
