  1. I remember the outfits, but I believe I saw them in different places here and there...however, I'm recalling a small gazebo near swan lake? Gosh these memories are really foggy. I was probably 12-13 at the time.
  2. One of the things I love about this group is that you all mention things like the Dixieland band in the early 90s and then I realize that some of my foggy memories were actually real and not my childhood mind over-inflating my experience. lol I remember this as well, or at least I thought I remembered it until now - and you've confirmed it.
  3. I miss action theater as well...it had such a cool queue, break from the heat...such a bummer that it's just a storage building now.
  4. This is so true...imagine being duct taped to a cinder block wall during an earthquake....
  5. I'm sure it depends on the establishment...lol...but any song that starts out with a motorcycle revving and you imagine the cheesy announcer voice saying, "Let's welcome to the main stage....Crystal Chandalierrrrr!!!" and then menacing electric guitar....
  6. Were any of the shows running this weekend? If so, how were they?
  7. I'm glad to hear that they did away with the strip club music during the show! Much better.
  8. If you get the day dining deal where you can eat every 90 minutes, it's really only worth it if you get 3 meals or more since it's $30. However, expect to spend a lot of time waiting in lines. I opted for the dining plan this year for all four of us because the daily deals meant I spent a good portion of my day standing in food lines. I'd rather everyone just go get their own crap. lol For the daily plan, they give you a wrist band so it's not like you can transfer it to someone else if they want to use it. Whoever straps it on first is stuck being in line.
  9. Showing my age again here...but I remember competing in a cheer competition at the Timberwolf. It was such a big deal back then and so much fun! It was like the equivalent of the nationals at Disney World only for middle schoolers. I wonder why they did away with that. I also competed in a couple of band competitions there back in the day. So much fun!
  10. This all looks sooooo good! If food service can execute just getting the meat cooked right, I'll be a happy camper.
  11. Nice catch - and you are so correct! This is going to look so cool lit up at night out in Coney! Can't wait!
  12. Yep...I think you're right. hah! My ultimate secret weapon...
  13. I don't know if the frazzled, thirsty mom look gets me sympathy, but I have gotten back-to-back disposable cup refills...at the same station...and at other stations nearby. lol
  14. I actually busted out loud when I read this. LOL
  15. That would be awesome! I have only eaten up there once but loved the view and the food was great! I'm sure it will be pricey but worth it if you went once or twice within a season.
  16. They'd need an app ordering option as well...ever been in line for one of the freestyle machines behind a totally clueless person? Oh boy.
  17. I couldn't agree with this more. Unfortunately, guests tend to remember the former...I can't tell you how many times I have stood in a line for 30+ minutes, only to be met at the register by a worker with an attitude, no apology about the wait and a look on their face like I was inconveniencing them. Yes - food quality is important...but speed and service is more important. And that's in any industry. 90% of the appeal of Disney for me is the speed and service....and people are willing to pay premium prices for that if they're at an amusement park. If I want a mediocre burger handed to me with a crappy attitude, I can get that any day at the nearest Burger King. I think it would be cool if they could incorporate app surveys for meal plan holders to allow them to rate their service for the day. Since passes are scanned for meal plans, it should all be integrated and performance could be evaluated.
  18. I remember these buildings but forget what was in them...?
  19. I see Delirium swinging! And Adventure Express making a test run!
  20. You're so right on it being a great spot! If they can get rid of the bee situation, I would hang out there more often. There's beer super close at Potato Works. hah! There's another checkbox you can mark off for this location!
  21. Are you talking about the La Rosa's back there? My kids flip out because there are always a ton of bees near there!!! I always want to eat there as well because it's such a cool spot but nope.
  22. I am so excited for this! Looks like there will be a huge covered seating area, so fantastic! I wonder what other things a new chef might bring to the park. Any ideas?
  23. This is just so horrifying...I honestly think that not only the family but anyone who witnessed this awful tragedy deserves mega payout for their grievances. I just can't imagine seeing something like that, it would haunt you non-stop. The fact that this guy's ego was what motivated him just makes me so sick to my stomach.
  24. My 8 year old rode it with me a few times last year. Our first time riding it, I hadn't actually ridden it in years and forgot how intense it was! My son was soooo nervous about the loops and I kept telling him that he'd feel the safest on the loops vs. the whole rest of the ride. After we rode it, he totally agreed. lol
  25. Ahh Gotcha! I didn't realize how much space was truly open there with DA gone. The merch tent and walk up area is a huge space when you combine it with that area. I remember the helicopter rides as well but I can't remember where they took off from - I can't imagine it being from that spot since helicopters create a lot of wind during takeoff...but who knows! I'm sure someone else here knows and will hopefully chime in!
