  1. I don't understand why they can't do CP Nights. I don't really think there is any other event they can do on the Beach that isn't the same thing. However, I have thought of how cool it would be to do a music festival/concert series on the Beach. There are Beaches that have done that in the past. source for photo: https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.travelchannel.com%2Finterests%2Fbeaches%2Fphotos%2F10-great-us-beach-festivals&psig=AOvVaw1RjxmVK_8u_Y0Ow3_WYXCj&ust=1677518933355000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CA8QjRxqFwoTCMiG_pPbs_0CFQAAAAAdAAAAABAD
  2. My thoughts is something along the lines of Grain and Grill at Kings Dominion. I've heard G&G is one of the best restaurants at KD. Like they serve stuff like Roast Beef and Grilled Shrimp. They even have Penne Pesto pasta as a side. Plus all their meals come with pita bread and hummus which as someone who took a trip to Israel a few years ago, I would really love to see KI bring in some Mediterranean food to the park.
  3. Well that is good to hear. However, I could see them doing it down the road if it gets to the point where the website crashes due to the traffic like WCO did.
  4. Seems like it keeps selling out faster each year. Honestly it wouldn't shock me if eventually they start doing the lottery thing that CP did for Winter Chill Out. WCO used to sell out in just as fast amount of time and it got to the point the website would crash due to all the traffic trying to get tickets. I would hate this, but this is what I eventually see happening with CS with more and more people wanting to go and the park wanting to keep space very limited to allow for a better experience.
  5. Diamondback's supports are starting to get painted
  6. KI already does a festival in September with Tricks and Treats along with Haunt. Now, I would like to see them do an Oktoberfest like event and combine it with Tricks & Treats
  7. Looks like they are starting to paint the Coke freestyle building:
  8. "lazer strike" or "lazer plunge" would honestly be good for a dive coaster
  9. Well great news today! The project got a 6-0 vote to move forward by the township planners today! Also was confirmed to be a steel coaster around 161 feet tall. They also said they plan to work with a proven manufacterer and are planning on investing in sound proofing the coaster. I think this almost confirms a B&M dive tbh. https://www.lehighvalleylive.com/lehigh-county/2023/02/south-whitehall-planners-back-new-1617-foot-high-rollercoaster-at-dorney-park.html
  10. I'll attempt to get tickets as usual. However, like the past few years, expect it to sell out in 5-10 minutes tops.
  11. Update: It seems like all the concrete in the viewing camera up to the Coke building has been ripped out. Now, wishing they would move the camera over so we can see the rest of the area come together.
  12. Concrete removal coming along pretty well. Almost to the Coke stand
  13. I say the biggest sign that we could see for a major new project there on opening day would be if they move the fence up to right up against the midway in the area where the batwing was. Right now, the fence near where the batwing was is away from the midway. I say when they start construction there, they'll move the fence up right up against the midway to block the view of the site. That's probably where they'll do the teasing campaign.
  14. From what I remember, the clearing for Orion didn't start until like April. I remember a member flying in a plane over the park that off season as late as March and the only thing cleared was Firehawk's plot. Also, with Vortex's plot, they likely wouldn't need to clear much more space unless they were going to do a very large coaster that would need the extra woods space behind The Vortex site. Vortex and the original bat fit in this cleared plot well. They basically cleared the site when they demolished Vortex so all they'd basically need to do is grade the site.
  15. If there were to be a madhouse in there, they likely wouldn't start construction until late in the season. In fact, you can probably still do the Haunt in there and have the new madhouse open by the next season's opening day.
  16. Where exactly are you hearing that from? I don't think they are going to do more than maybe updated theming in the tunnel and new theming in the rerouted queue.
  17. Apparently, it was probably a pixelcaster issue. Pixelcaster is the website that does the webcams. I went on Cedar Point's and theirs were down too. I tried loading the pixelcaster website and the site itself wouldn't load, so it probably was a site issue.
  18. Looking at it closely, it is probably just that tree. The thing is after it rains, it turns the tree and concrete brown so it makes it "look like" dirt. I rushed to conclusions a little too quickly.
  19. Anyone else's webcams having trouble at the moment? EDIT: Nevermind they're back on for me
  20. There looks to be something happening in the back of Planet Snoopy. It looks like they are digging up the area where Snoopy's Junction sits. Might want to keep an eye on this:
