  1. I know this is super unlikely to happen, but I made a front of the park wing coaster replacing Invertigo, Congo Falls, and the Kings Island theater (which again is very unlikely to get removed unless they build a new indoor theater somewhere else in the park). The name of the coaster is KeyMaster.

There is so much track back there!! :D Also a second crane is on site, larger than the first but still not one that is tall enough to erect the lift.

They usually start on the transfer/maintenance shed first

My opinion is based on the historical fact of the soon to be 5 coasters and 15 years of Cedar Fair's owning of KI (if you count 2020), that they have not installed one.

But, I could see them every once in a while going record breaking.

I think it is comical that a lot of people are predicting a record breaking RMC for the next coaster at KI. I do believe it will be a ground up RMC hybrid, but it will have similar stats to Twisted Timbers, not SV. Cedar Fair has obviously shown us that they are not interested in building record breaking rides at KI (with the exception of Banshee's longest inverted coaster record, which no one really cares about). The good news is that Twisted Timbers is a great ride.

Just because they didn't go record breaking with MT or Orion, doesn't mean they never will go record breaking again. Going after records on a giga is way more expensive. I believe going after a wooden coaster record with RMC topper track would be cheaper.

KI is too high a capacity park to get a raptor. Its like everyone forgets that they can also make T-Rex track.

I could see Trex. But I believe RMC wants to sell more raptors first before going with the Trex.

  6. Just looked through part of Banshee's construction thread and it seems like they started vertical construction earlier for Banshee than Orion. Like the end of August, the transfer table was up. Kinda interesting since Orion is a larger coaster. Also, someone used the layout rendering picture to show progress and see what part of the layout is completed. Would love to see someone do something similar.

Here's a picture example of what I'm talking about from the Banshee construction thread. The user who did this was @davidw

Edit: Here is a link to where the photo was found. I must follow TOS:

Wouldn't it be funny if they had a music festival themed area that exclusively had Port-O-Lets?  Not like Jungle Jim's, but like REAL Port-O-Lets.

Which music festival? Woodstock? Warped Tour? Summerfest?

Did anyone see the farmers almanac forecast for winter? There are actually 2 farmers almanacs- Old Farmers Almanac and Farmers Almanac. They are completely different. One is forecasting a “Polar Coaster” for winter for us. Maybe we should re-name Orion to Polar Coaster until next Spring? It wouldn’t be Cincinnati if a really large project didn’t have to fight the brutal Cincinnati winter!

Oh yeah! That's part of building a coaster up here! I know Banshee they had to battle an extreme cold and brutal winter to get that coaster up. Also, I think due to that, they'll probably try and get the lift and drop in place before Winter due to extreme cold.
