According to the 2018 parkmap the pad by old Dino’s alive entrance will have public access.. place to have a view of construction??? It has a smoking sign so I assume it will be a smoking area but still..

I would consider a new resturaunt a big update worth an announcement like on social media posts giving us pictures and renderings of drawings and stuff of what it will look like.. especially since it took some major construction of demolitioning a building and all that stuff, you all have seen the pictures... I just would have thought they would have put something on social media by like a twitter post and Instagram post about it

At this point I don’t see them announcing anything this close to opening day we are just a few weeks away.. I would guess you’ll find out what’s new when people go on opening day.. they might post it on their website a few days before listing what’s new but that’ll be it maybe.

@chugh43 okay NOBODY has ever said that this is a done deal that we are getting a giga we are all just putting in our concepts and what we might like to see. This is a giga speculation thread were we talk about if a giga is coming to Kings Island and come up with ideas and concepts. No they all might not be realistic it’s just our opinions and what we’d like to see. Also just because there are open spaces doesn’t mean that a coaster should go there. A park and company will come up with the best idea to regardless of what’s open or not. In my opinion the plot of land behind Banshee is the last place that our next coaster will be going. It’s just not going to happen in that spot in my opinion. So that means the next coaster IN MY OPINION will be in a tighter area with less space but will make the best of it and make it great. I think you need to just calm down and have fun reading, discussing, etc, about a giga coming to Kings Island even if we don’t know it’s ever coming or not it’s just fun to discuss people’s ideas and opinions and concepts.. ITS JUST A FUN DISCUSSION THREAD

EXPANSION IDEA: X-Base expanded to Dino’s alive all of the storage sheds that are currently to the right of X-base entrance are demolished and new ones are built in the big sand box behind Banshee.. a new 2nd entrance to x base is made where Dino’s alive entrance is. This expansion is capped off with a giga and small flat rides, etc. this would probably cost a ton of money but just something I came up with. Probably a 55+million expansion counting 30 million for a giga.. just thoughts I know that won’t happen PROBABLY... this sketch was done just now from my phone with me finger keep that in mind.

@SonofBaconator yeah that’s the only downside I see to it is you’d have to take out Adventure Express..

If Kings Island was to get a multi launch coaster what manufacturer would you want, location it’d be, and theme. I would love a maverick type right at Kings Island it is in my top 3 coasters. 1. I would like to see what Mack could do and see how creative they can be to come up with something totally new. I’m to afraid to trust anything from Intamin. 2. Location- I would think it’d be interesting for it to go where Adventure Express is and in that area between Flight of Fear and The Racer. I will attach a picture showing the area. It would be a small expansion to X-Base and you would be able to access it through the regular x base entrance OR a second entrance is made where Adventure Express is now so there would be 2 options to access x base. 3. Theme- I would theme to the Air Force or a fighter Jet and to be based off speed and sharp turns and twisted and inversions. Thanks for reading I came up with all of this really just now playing around thinking about things.. expansion area picture is below. Keep in mind I just did this from my phone and using my finger... there could be some room for a few small flat rides in this area as well.. also keep in mind this is just an idea of mine and it is a high probability that this won’t happen but just fun to think of stuff like this. @Hawaiian Coasters 325 not saying it would go where the picture is taken I’m saying the picture is taken facing a new attraction like it’d be in X base Dino’s alive area is where it’s facing the most.. I know it’s nothing probably just a random picture they took but you never know.... but it looks like the picture was taken at that spot facing toward a specific area.. I don’t know what’s above MT to be able to get a picture that high up.. most likely a drone picture

Having getting our first looks at wicker man GCI at Alton towers today and recently, that thing looks amazing.. I’m more talking about the theming and ride experience with fog, lights, speakers, etc. whatever Kings Island next coaster is I want theming as extreme as wicker man, everything is done so well the station and everything.. I know Cedar Fair doesn’t do much theming at all, but I believe they took a good step in the right direction with Mystic Timbers. I want some really good theming like wicker man, just look it up and you’ll see what I mean... whether it be a giga or multi launch coaster I want some really good theming

I know this is probably nothing in fact I pretty much know it’s nothing but just thought I’d share.. Kings Island twitter page and Instagram page within the past week have used this picture at least a few times each.. it’s the same pic from what seems above MT facing Diamondback and back that way.. maybe showing a pic facing a new future attraction (giga) that will change skyline... I know it’s just me hoping lol just wanted to share haha

I kinda like this concept obviously this is Intamin I would prefer a B&M but I kinda like this concept low to the ground fast throughout.. I would like more sharp twists instead of long drawn out turns.. this would also be the first giga with a inversion (2). I don’t know how that would work..

Yeah I’d expect to see something happening. I hope it’s an exciting season with prep work and hints and clues and speculation that’s always fun. Kings Island is the most creative with hinting and clues and deception always love thinking what could be coming..

Seeing what people think will be the next coaster to be removed/demolished. It may not happen for a long time but just see what people think. It’s a hard choice for but I’d probably say Vortex would be the next to be removed but I don’t know. Could be something else but that just making the most since to me.

Just give me a GIGA and I’m set for life... between a giga, Diamondback, Banshee and Mystic Timbers those rides would occupy me forever wouldn’t care what we got as long as a giga comes

I still think it is really rough even my mom who is 47 rode it this past season and she loves roller coasters but it has been a couple years since coming to Kings Island and when she rode The Beast she said it was as rough as it’s ever been and she will not ride it anymore it was that bad and I agreed... now I just don’t know if I am riding at the wrong time every time but its always rough guess I’m not a ride warrior like some people.. I’ve rode it in the morning, afternoon and at night and it was the same roughness every time... now like 2 years I rode it at night during Halloween Haunt and it was super smooth the best ride I’ve ever had on it..

The last couple of years going to Kings Island every time I experience The Beast it’s gotten worse and worse.... it’s beginning to really hurt... don’t get me wrong I am a huge beast fan and don’t think there’s any other coaster experience like it, it’s theming and ride the woods is just perfect.. but now anytime I go to Kings Island it is a one time ride and done because it’s gotten so rough in my opinion. The only spot in the train that it is not rough is the very front seat anywhere else it is rough.. just seeing what everyone thinks of this but in my opinion The Beast has gotten as bad as the Son of Beast... and I’m only 20 years old too and it hurts me pretty bad

I believe this will be more likely.. we just got mystic in river town. Just got Banshee in Action Zone I believe the next big coaster will be in this section of the park. Makes the most since, would love a Giga.. fury is my #1 coaster it’s just amazing. Just imagining a giga at Kings Island and what they can do with it is just awesome.. I really believe this could come in 2019 but won’t know more until this season starts. If we don’t start seeing small construction and ground work by early season a giga won’t be coming in 2019 more likely 2020-2022.. but who knows we might not get the giga could get something else whatever is being planned to come next will be fantastic
