  1. I'm 99% convinced. Kings Island has never been super heavy handed about removing trees for their coasters. Assuming the manufacturer is B&M based off the legal docs... The area cleared as of right now is too wide for a wing, and too long for a dive. Unless its something totally new B&M is doing or plans have changed, I can't see anything else.
  2. I lile the concept, but fear the ride would be too straight and narrow trying to fit down that alleyway. That is a great looking spot to have a coaster go to. Whats the rule on how close it can get to Little Miami?
  3. Who needs a giga when you have those Coney bbq sprinklers? And the Golden Ticket for best sprinklers goes to....
  4. Personally, I'd love to see them stick with the X-Base sci-fi theme. Almost every major coaster Cedar Fair has done in recent years has had an old-timey theme, and it would be cool to see them go with something futuristic for the first time in a while. Plus in my opinion, Flight of Fear has by far the best theming at KI, so expanding upon that in some way would be great.
  5. Just checked in on it for not even a minute and saw another coming from that direction. First nice day in a while, there seems to be work getting done and it will be interesting to see what's happened when the park opens Friday. edit: And then saw another going the opposite direction, toward potential project. A lot of traffic.
  6. I was really just trolling, I want a giga too. Hopefully there is more clearing though, because GateKeeper sure fits awful nice in the current space.
  7. My bad, was under the impression theyd kept it.
  8. Yeah it does seem pretty perfect. Plus they already have a dual-sided loading station sitting vacant nearby. Wing seems to be the early favorite here.
  9. This better be for a wing or a dive coaster.
  10. I can remember the MT fence being up for a bit before any teasers were actually put up.
  11. I've been thinking these same thoughts. One of our own because they built it. It's big it's gone, because what else is bigger? This could be a matter of KI throwing out red herrings though. Unless the ride went totally fubar in the last couple months, I can't imagine any way they wouldn't have announced this at the beginning of the year. Unless they're closing it to RMC it and that's part of the announcement, but there's still no reason to wait until the last day of the season to announce it. It and Firehawk were both closed all day when I last went on Labor Day. I assume they're both open at this point? Also... what is the precedent for announcements like this? I'm no coaster super fan, but it seems weird to tease an announcement to close a ride on the last day of operation. Only reason I can think to do that might be because it really is something big, and announcing it early might cut into season pass sales.
  12. It's worth noting that there are 11 chairs in the photo, plus one coffin. There are 12 adult coasters in the park, so if one is dying, there's a seat for each of the survivors. The kids (coasters) aren't big enough to attend.
