Ideas For Better Thrills!?
MaxxForce replied to Hmrapp's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I was thinking that someone should install a 500 foot tall roller coaster, but not the Skyscraper model. Maybe it could be from B&M. -
Six Flags coffin challenge

I would only do that for the $300 so that I could buy all my cousins season passes for Holiday in the Park at my home park, Great America. -
The Amusement Park Railroad Thread

I think that it would be really interesting if you covered the Whiskey River Railroad up in Little Amerricka! I love that train and that park, but it rarely gets talked about. -
Firehawk Leaving Kings Island 10/28/18
MaxxForce replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
I have started a petition to try to get @DonHelbig to install a webcam of Firehawk. Check it out: https://www.change.org/p/don-Helbig-install-a-webcam-near-Firehawk -
Welp, guess I'm going to Kentucky Kingdom next year. It'll be my first visit, so I hope Kentucky Flyer is worth it.

Bye Bye Firehawk! If anyone here works at Kings Island, you should consider erecting this tombstone I made: -
I heard that Hersheypark is going to make their biggest announcement ever on October 3, and apparently it is going to be a new entrance and 220 foot tall hypercoaster in 2020. What are your thoughts? After watching the video they posted on September 12, I noticed a yellow light flashing while each picture was shown, and it looked sort of like B&M track. Hmmmmmmmm... Here's the video for those who can't find it.

Kings Island Confirms removal of Coaster
MaxxForce replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
Unpopular opinion time. Brace yourselves: I actually think Kings Island should replace Firehawk with a Vekoma Bermuda Blitz. From what I have heard about them, they are smoother than old Vekoma, and they are extremely popular in Europe. From what I've heard about the only one in operation (Lech Coaster in Poland,) it has the potential to be a number 1 coaster, plus if we add one to Kings Island, it could fill the vertical drop coaster gap in the park's lineup, and draw in big crowds because the GP could possibly have never seen anything like it in the States. Not to mention we would have beaten Cedar Point to a coaster that is unique to the States (finally!) and it could put KI on the map. -
Kings Island Confirms removal of Coaster
MaxxForce replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
That's why I'm not trusting of the news. They almost always get facts about amusement parks wrong! Moving away from how GP they are, I actually wouldn't be surprised if they removed Vortex. It's not that new or smooth anymore, and although I would hate to see a landmark go, the world is always moving towards bigger and better things. So Vortex's removal couldn't be too far out of the question, but I'm still leaning towards AE or Firehawk leaving. -
Kings Island Confirms removal of Coaster
MaxxForce replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
There's just one tiny problem with that... AE is a steel coaster. Maybe they could give it some maintenance, make the track a little smoother, and slap on a fresh coat of paint. Plus I doubt that they would do anything too drastic to it, seeing as it's a classic Arrow Dynamics coaster. -

I agree! Invertigo is trash, plus it gave me a big headache! They should tear it and/or Firehawk down and build a Vekoma Bermuda Blitz in either one's place. -

Yes. The coaster is probably hated by the four kiddie coasters lol.
