If the park says no cameras then it’s a misdemeanor I believe since you’re technically violating ride operators instructions.

I’ve only been to 4, but if I were to rank them it’d go 1:Cp 2:Ki 3:CW 4:KD, kings dominion was pretty disappointing to be honest but still a fun place to go.

Very excited to see the new fountains! Preview night is going to be a blast.

A similar document was filled before Mystic Timbers that had Great Coasters International as a contractor. Also the removal of Firehawk very well could have been the start of the construction process and is why we may have not seen prep work before seasons end.

Yep, Intamin Blitz is easily my favorite coaster model. While I haven’t ridden copperhead strike it looks like it’s going to be a pretty he a great ride. I’d be fine with either.

Yes the flights are legal, Kings Island does not have a no fly zone and from what others have said on here the photos have come from a private company who does aerial surveys.

How dare you triple post! In all seriousness though have you been able to tell if any other coasters have had their trains lifted back onto the track.

I remember someone previously mentioning a composer was working with Kings Island, I know it’s probably for the fire work show but I think it’d be pretty cool if they could compose something for the speakers on I Street to play instead of mediocre pop music from 2010. Considering they’re renovating I street I’d say there’s an ok chance this could happen.

I don’t necessarily think it’s important to know they’re doing to international street, I think most of the questioning is why would legally obtained Ariel photos not be allowed when blueprints from a new rollercoaster would be allowed.

In regards to 2019 updates and such I noticed you can add Fast Lane plus to your season pass for $500, Is this new? Ive never noticed that.

I think the entire ride could use a paint touch up to be honest. Also according to Baynums website racer was painted in 1996 http://www.baynumpainting.com/completed-projects/

Flying rollercoasters are probably my favorite coaster type behind hyper coaster. Flying coasters are also not low capacity (Assuming its double loading) Manta for example has 1,500 riders per hour while Banshee has a capacity of 1,650, not that much of a difference.

The drop refers to the free fall section and not the break section. The drop section is around that 315 ft mark but it only falls for 264 ft and then it hits the breaks. The ride is still technically taller then the one at KD, I’m not sure if it was the tallest in the world when it opened but it certainly is taller then KD’s

I’m going to assume that during the 4 years in between the two installations Intamin improved the ride slightly(Which is why KD’s has a longer drop section). They’re both technically the same ride.

The numbers maybe inaccurate but Kings Dominion website states it drops you 27 stories while Kings Island website states it drops you 26 stories (which converted to about 281 ft). My guess is that Kings Island has a longer break section due to the fact it’s the older model, maybe the breaks were improved for the KD model.

I really wish we’d see a blitz but I think The only way that’s happening is if Intamin really really tried to sweet talk current management into working with the company again. Intamin’s are just risky investments.

Kind of wish they had given us a bit more information. Very excited to see what the future beholds for this new coaster.

A giga would certainly be able to get the park to 3.5, I’d say 3.6 million wouldn’t be an unreasonable estimate considering giga coasters are huge draws. Kings Island is still growing and I don’t believe the market is saturated. A 13% increase over a decade is a healthy growth rate in my opinion. You can’t expect a park that already draws a large number of people to grow by 3-4%
