Not a coaster to me but I still think it's a fun ride. It would be nice if KI put a bigger one in the grown up section of the park.

Ok it seems as though this board has reached a general consensus that KIs next coaster will be a B&M giga opening in 2020. Rightfully so I might add. I thought it would be fun to speculate what KI should get for its next major coaster after that. Some people think KI should get a copycat of Maverick, others want to see old coasters brought back to life like King Cobra or Son of Beast. What do you think? Please keep in mind this is just for fun. If you are not going to contribute constructively or have a fun attitude then please don't post your clutter here.

Millennials am I right? Lol Ok maybe age isn't it. I do feel like the contractor that was running it for Kings Island shouldn't have skimped out and had only one person in a Jeep. They should have been in pairs.

I much preferred Thunderbird over GateKeeper. Haven't ridden Wild Eagle. As for what could be coming in 2020, I think Kings Island has enough coasters already where your feet dangle. Some people get motion sickness from that specific element. Also Kings Island's last major coaster installation (Banshee) is a foot dangler.

They could use drones.

Well my original point was 20 year olds should not be left alone to work in a lion enclosure..

It says he was alone in the police report. Apparently the safety procedure in place was to not leave the Jeep while in the cat enclosure. Although he had just a few weeks prior been clawed in the neck seriously enough to require stitches while he was in his Jeep. However when he was fatally attacked he had left his Jeep under his own accord to drop a deuce.

I can see being an apprentice at age 20. But I don't think a 20 year old should be cut loose to go out into the field by themselves unless they come from a background with extensive experience i.e. last name Irwin. Or age aside, this human causality could have been avoided with a simple buddy policy, meaning no one goes into the field alone.

Mystic Timbers is more marathonable. Also Beast being such an incredible night ride somewhat hurts it's daytime ride appeal for me.

Is that just your polite way of saying The Beast is a has-been? I could see possibly saying that about Racer, but I still very much enjoy it and don't mind the short lines. (most days)

I edited my post. I'm not saying Mystic Timbers isn't a decent coaster, it's just that I think Beast is that good.

Beast is better and it isn't even close imo. It's the absolute pinnacle of wooden roller coasters.

I think Snoopy themes have to go. Is he there to attract more grandparents and great grandparents into the park or what?

Must mean Vortex is safe for another 30 years.

I'd like a flat ride that involves water, would help cool people down during the hot days of summer. Or at least something different than something that just spins you around in circles, Kings Island has enough of those rides.

I just don't see how a giga would in anyway pay homage to The Beast. Besides maybe tunnels, "theme",and simply being at Kings Island....but that's really reaching!

Diamondback is totally different, you have to know that. I don't doubt it will be painted soon enough. An old coaster like Vortex, letting the paint go and allowing the rust get to the steel and fatigue it will only shorten its life span. Vortex has more stress on its supports than Diamondback also with it being a more jerky ride

I think it was irresponsible to have a just 20 years old working with lions. Sad story. A life lost far too young.

Are you sure it would cost a fortune? Fortnight is a free game, perhaps they would be for copromotion.

Since they're bringing back old rides from the past now, a coaster like King Cobra would be nice.
