Why would we want that? Look, I get people are bummed about this. Some even upset, but CF would not be removing Vortex without a good reason. I for one, believe this was a tough decision on their part that was very recently made. Otherwise they would have let it operate a couple more seasons til they were ready to announce another new coaster. Two new coasters in back to back seasons isn't entirely impossible, but highly unlikely. I believe maybe something kinda major came up and they had to make a decision, and removing it just made more sense. Can we vote Cedar Fair out?

I feel the same. That overall length was kind of a bummer. I know I've said it before, but the height of that final break run just kills me. Still very excited for it. Already purchased gold passes for the family for 2020. Can't wait!I’m a little bummed the overall length is so much shorter than Levi, but I think we knew that was coming. It is slightly longer than DB. It’s going to be a great ride.

Is this the same for the Platinum pass?

Me thinks a lot of enthusiasts getting their hopes up just to be let down again on Thursday. I do not believe they would fake blue prints. 301' drop just under 5500' in length 93mph is what Im going to go with.

Mystic Timbers is the best ride in the park. Don't touch it

It still gets me that the bottom of the final drop and final break run are so high off the ground and that much higher than the station. Will people at the top of Racers lift hill be looking up at the train on Polaris break run. This is the same problem I have with Levi. Why can't they put in one last little ejector air hill. Im sure there is a reason for it, it just looks ridiculous.

I hope Polaris and Orion ARE in fact train names as I don't like either one of those for the name of our coaster. If they are, there still needs to be a third train name?

I really think after the giga, it will be something from RMC.

When do we get a new coaster after our Giga, 2025? No that's too late. 2023 or 24. Ground up RMC

While I am excited we are getting something new, and I'm excited that that something new is a Giga, I absolutely have the right to be somewhat disappointed or let down that it's not going to be as big or as tall or as fast as Fury. I'm sure most here, while also excited for this, are on some level a bit disappointed. How can anybody be disappointed in a giga? SMH

^ Fury lighting is cool. Doubt it's in the budget for our giga. They will probably have a ride op shine a flash light on us while we go up the lift.

Gotta be honest, not much of a fan of any of these names. Truthfully I don't care if KI breaks any records with our giga. I just hope it's a good ride. With what the prints show, it looks like it will be an ok ride just extremely short. With the height of these hills after the first drop, considering it's only a 301' drop, it doesn't seem to me that it's going to be all that forceful. At least not any more so than Fury or Levi. I seriously hope I'm proven wrong.

Updated estimates:
--296' tall
--301' drop
--81deg drop
--5089' long
296' tall, that's fine. 301' drop, that's good too. 81 deg drop, pretty much expected. 5089' track length, this is the part that gets me. Our giga will be shorter then our hyper. To me that's insane.

Ground up RMCWhat do you think they are saving the big clearing over by Banshee for? The could have easily put the lift hill there more towards front of park.

So what bogus record do you think they will try to claim with this thing. I know not every coaster is a record breaking, but I'm wondering. Just not seeing any legit records on this thing at all.

I know y'all gonna say I should appreciate that we're getting a giga at all and your probably correct. But this honestly feels a little like a slap in the face. Cedar Fair pretty much saying " here is your giga, now shut up ". O well I guess CP is just a ways up the road.

If this is transfer track location, would it basically confirm that the layout is fake? Or should I keep being a Debbie downer?

I think DB was different because of where it was at. Station and lift had to go over walk ways in the park where guests would be.Diamondback was vertical before the announcement.

So are we pretty sure that the gray track is ours? I really hope that's a primer and we're not getting a gray giga. Guess it would make sense though. Boring color to go with our boring layout.

Got on it for the first time last Friday. In my opinion, Orion is nothing special. The first drop is awesome, pretty much the same as every other first drop on a giga. The high banked hill is interesting, but not much force to speak of. Not very much air time either. The trim breaks on the last big air time hill pretty much kills any air time you could have gotten for the rest of the ride. I was left very unimpressed. Vs the other giga coasters I've been on ( Millennium, Fury, Leviathan, & I305) Orion is definitely at the bottom with I305. Doesn't really compare to the others.
