  1. They can tied it in with the River Town lore about a struggling action movie studio looking for new recruits for the movie bases around The Beast legend.  Also added the Zodiac auto company logo in the car, and changing the settings to Cincinnati.

    Should we be surprised?

Too many variables stacked against it.

    • Shorter than Good Gravy by over half (1,500 feet compared to 673 feet).
    • Supposed contract clause not allowing it to open before Good Gravy.
    • To many people it is a smaller Good Gravy.
    • Good Gravy has a better story line.
    • Marketing for it is late and seems to always be playing catch-up.

But still, even with better marketing, would this have made a most anticipated ride list given its stats and with Good Gravy opening same year?

Further, all the anticipated rides on the list are either labeled in the article as a first of that kind in the US or first at that park or sets a record.  Snoopy doesn't do any of those.

Interesting that Six Flags has 3 on the list compared to 2 for CF...

But I can tell you one thing that we can actually be great about, Madhouse possibility.

    Well^

I’m not trying to be conspiracy theorist here but….

With this announcement, the kids area is going to be nearly perfectly split into 2 halves. I know the Camp Snoopy theme ties into the Apple TV show and we also see this with Knott’s, but here’s my question: Why not go all the way with it?

It could simply be a budget thing to just update the back part of the kids area but for some reason this reminds of of what Paramount did in the 90s…but in reverse. In the 90s the back part of Hanna Barbera Land became Nickelodeon with both sections coexisting up until the Nickelodeon Universe rebrand.

With the upcoming merger of FUN and SIX, could the park be leaving the front part of the kids area open for a rebrand? Could we see “Bugs Bunny Boomtown” or “DC Superfriends” take over the “old” Planet Snoopy? Could we see Woodstock Express and Boo Blasters return to Scooby Doo IP?

If they overhauled the whole kids section I wouldn’t even bring this up, but the fact that they split the kids area into two halves leaves the possibility open for the the “older” section to be considered for a rebrand that doesn’t involve Peanuts LLC.

The answer will probably be no.  Six Flags will keep their I.P. in their park, and Cedar Fair will keep their as well.  Also with Warner Brothers Discover crumbling down and probably go bankrupt.  Six Flags have to choose to keep their I.P. or move on.

  4. There is a way to keep the name Backlot Stunt Coaster, without taking it down or rethemeing it. Give it a new story, here's my idea.

"You are extra stunt drivers for a struggling studio called Backlot Studios. They're working on their next blockbuster movie called "The Beast Hunters" They think it's a good idea to make a movie around the legend (Which is real) and make it come out of the woods (which he'll won't) and terrorize the city of Cincinnati. (which offended victims.) They got the sets ready, but there's only one problem. They're in a time constraint and they have to get it in one take. Backlot Studios needs your help to perform this car stunt before the deadline. Can you pull off this crazy stunt coaster?"
