Is there going to be a new haunt maze this year or am I looking too far into this (probably)?

Yes. I did talk to the designer for it. He did confirmed that we will get 2 new scare zones and 1 new maze.

Came up with a new concept of an Action Zone retheme. This would involve the demolition of Congo Falls and the addition of a screamin swing called Serpent's Flyer. Also Invetigo gets rethemed into Screamin Demon. It pays homage to the old screamin demon that stood very close to that same spot and was also a shuttle coaster with a vertical loop. Drop Tower gets renamed to Falltrum and has an enclosed building built at the base of the ride. The queue would be enclosed and themed as well. Banshee would be repainted, and Bat would get an updated queue (out with the metal chain link fences and in with wood fences along with new theming). The SOB station and queue would also be demolished. Timberwolf would remain, but would get chairback seating to downsize the venue and make it more profitable for more up and coming artists as well as make the venue nicer and more comfortable for concert goers. Once again just a concept idea.

I see you use my suggested name for Drop Tower. Thank you.

I think I found where it was being worked on. Notice the new pain on the track rails. This is at the bottom of the second drop.

You can thank S&S for giving them replacement railings.

Here are some updates from yesterday:

Bamboo railings going up for Cargo Loco's entrance/queue. Also the water tower seen in the concept art in the queue has begun construction.

Additional bamboo has been installed for Sol Spin's queue/entrance. Something worth noting is that speakers have been added to almost all the light posts across Adventure Port. You can see them if you zoom in on the below picture. Hopefully for an IMAScore soundtrack?? Or unthemed pop/jazz music. Not much in-between at Kings Island these days!

Rockwork(?) in front of Sol Spin for a sign(?). Last week it was just a wire frame.

There is a new, painted Mercado sign that was added to the building.

The painted Enrique's sign has been added to the front facade. I think this sign looks really, really good. Hopefully they're able to stick a fake window on there like in the concept art but I'm just not sure how it would fit given the size/location of the sign.

Additional painted detail work has been added to the Coca-Cola Freestyle building compared to last week.

Who knows when it's going to open...but I would say that it's certainly encouraging to see that when it does, it will be detailed and high-quality, based on the progress I've seen so far!

Unlike the Crypt's bamboo fences. Adventure port's version is actually bamboo.

While everyone this weekend will have their focus on The Bat reopening and the grand opening of the Grain and Grill. Kings Island has secretly been refilling the pond underneath The Beast.

Or it could just be the rain filling up what use to be the pond.

Another ride idea for here if they kept the building would be Intamin's dynamic motion stage. This would provide another thrilling, yet still family level, indoor ride for the park, that also has plenty of great theming opportunities for it. The biggest question mark for it would be Cedar Fair working with Intamin again but they could always give them another chance.

Not a good idea. Dynamic motion stage (Including Dynamic attraction's version.) Cost way to much money and take longer to build.

  7. Ok, you want a prediction, here's my prediction.

    1. The Crypt building will get a Vekoma Madhouse inside.

    2. Kings Island will make their own version of a M.C.U. based it around the dark rides and coasters of Kings Island.

    3. Flight of Fear interior will get a make over and the spaghetti bowl will add theming to make it scarier.

    4. The Beast will get a walk in pre show like Orion. The same thing with Banshee.

    5. Banshee will get a big theme overhale to make it a bit scary and to tell what is going on.

    6. Haunt will get more mazes in the upcoming years.

    7. There will be roam around characters in River Town, International Street, Area 72, and Adventure Port.

    8. The next coaster in Area 72 will be a indoor family coaster style like CHAOS from Opryland.

    9. Planet Snoopy might get Snoopy Racing Railway and become the first ART engineering family coaster in the USA.

    10. Phantom Theater will return where Boo Blaster once was and be manufacture by Sally.
