  1. Been out of the country for the past few days without internet/cell service. Can anyone give a quick recap of important updates? I have like 500+ posts to catch up on. TIA!

  2. Looks like one pass is good for six items during the duration of the Carnivale. At first I thought it was only good for one day/six items.

If you click the link in the first post, the details show that the tasting card is only valid for one day. (the day of redemption)

  3. One of my friends that i work with was at the park today and noticed somthing peculiar about the map on snapchat and asked me what it was all about.. not sure where snapchat gets its information or if anyone can request these changes to the map... but can anyone see what I'm talking about?

Side note it looks as if action theater is listed on there also if you zoom in closer0f9049e536446b5dc53ffb8777f6b59b.jpgfb24a7735936b59177cb763a4f43961c.jpg

I noticed this the other day and tried to do some research on where snapchat gets the information and I couldn't find anything. I also noticed that Racer was spelled wrong and not all coasters were labeled.

  4. Right? I'm eagerly awaiting these pics! I've even contemplated going myself but it's an hour and a half drive for me. For now I'll just continue to recheck this thread every two minutes

  5. You do realize the elevator on the left (when waiting in line)goes to the lower level only, and the elevator on the right goes to the top level only, right? There’s no random option as to what level your elevator stops at.  It just depends which level they decide to operate for the day.  I can’t remember the last time I was there when both levels were open simultaneously.

Nope, never realized that. However (like a lot of people on here apparently) I only recently realized there were two upper levels.

  6. Second that

In my experience it's never been an "option."
You just get off where the elevator stops. Always random for me but I'm guessing it's based on how many people are already on each level

  7.
Quick question?! What color should the supports, track and bottom accent be? Also what color should the train, and seats be? I need your help! I want this to be a prediction this community can be proud of!

Gray supports, navy track, lighter blue/teal bottom accent. I think the white seats look interesting too

  8. The blueprints aren't fake.
Filing fake blueprints with the city would, at best, be extremely uncouth for a large international corporation, and at worst result in possible legal issues.
If the "leaked" (I hate using that word for things that are public record) blueprints are fake, I'll eat my left shoe.

I think they're talking about the full layout one. Not the station and lift blueprints filed with the city

  9. I also had a rollercoaster dream last night. All Cedar Fair parks were either to get a B&M giga or an RMC but nobody would ever have both. What a sad dream!

  10. Can't wait to read everyone's favorites! I've always been into coasters but I'd say the obsession really started around 2012/2013. Since then I've been on a mission to find the best coasters in the world so I'm always curious of other's Top 10.

My current coaster count is around 60. I've been to Kings Island, Cedar Point, Carowinds, King's Dominion, Dollywood (lightening rod was down so it's not on the list), Busch Gardens Tampa, Universal FL both sides, Holiday World and Geauga Lake. It's really hard for me to narrow it to ten because I have a lot of ties.

    Honorable mention: Thunderhead at Dollywood

Unpopular opinion but I loved this ride. Only got to ride it once though.

    10: Banshee

9: Kumba at BGT. She doesn't look like much but wow this coaster is amazing!

8: Millennium Force. Yes, it's not incredibly high on my list. That is in part because this coaster was so overhyped to me that once I actually rode it, I was kind of disappointed. Still makes this list though!

7: Intimidator 305. Only ride to ever make me gray out. This one moves around my top ten quite often. Usually somewhere between 7-10. Also a disappointment because people had told me "it's like maverick and millennium!" It wasn't...

6: Dragon Challenge at Universal (RIP). Only got one ride but it was fantastic

5: Twisted Timbers at Kings Dominion.

    4: Fury 325

3: Top Thrill Dragster. I don't get intimidated by coasters generally speaking but this thing is just on a whole new level! Waiting for that launch and then flying down the track at warped speed. It's an experience you can't find many places and you just have to ride it to understand.

Finally tied for 1&2: Maverick and Steel Vengeance both at Cedar Point. Y'all probably think I'm crazy for the tie so let me explain. Maverick holds a special place in my heart. I lived four hours from CP the first time I went. We got in the park just to find out nearly every ride was down due to wind. I was dying to ride MF, GateKeeper and TTD! Maverick was one of the only things open so we waited for that. I kept looking at how small it was in comparison to everything else. People in line were watching for MF to open up and said they'd jump out of line and run over there if they saw trains running. So at that point my expectations for Mav were LOW. Then my mind was blown! I had never experienced a 90 degree drop let alone 95. The snappy banked turns and fluidity of the inversions has me amazed. Then the launch in the tunnel...just wow. Once we hit the brake run I just started laughing uncontrollably. And it was totally worth that four hour drive just for that one ride! (I kept the ride pic too!)

And then SV. I had high expectations, I was NOT disappointed! I just don't have a great story like I do for maverick. However I will say Steel Vengeance has the best inversions I've ever experienced!

  11. quick side note as I see some people posting about their top 10. Is there a thread for discussing our "coaster lists?" I'd love to read that!

Edit: @McSalsa started a thread for this over in the "Polls" topic. Go take a look and add your thoughts!

  12. I wasn't impressed with I 305. But to me, Maverick is so so. Coasters are subjective.

I agree. They are subjective! I wasn't impressed with I305 but I love maverick. People told me I305 was like a MF and Mav hybrid but I didn't feel that way. It's interesting how many different opinions there are on the same ride. I also think your expectations have a decent impact on your overall opinion of the ride. At least that has been the case for me

  13. I'd be fine with this. I've heard I305 is amazing.

The height and speed are amazing. I felt the ride was over way too fast and the layout was just mediocre. Fury didn't feel as intense to me but the layout was much more enjoyable. Both great rides.

  14. Anybody who has ridden Intimidator305 want to give your thoughts for those of us who haven't?

Very intense. My only gray out ever. Other than the intensity from the first drop and banked turn I honestly found it quite boring. Just personal opinion

  15. but I just see a taller version of Diamond back

and with this layout, that's probably what the general public will think as well. Just doesn't seem like a good move

  16. 2 someone fact check me on this but if the track in question currently sitting at the b and m plant is indeed for king island can’t we rule out a wing coaster? From memory I thought wing coasters used the wide track such as the track found on dive coasters

Yes and also it's labeled MC instead of...WC? Not sure on wing coaster code

  17. Again that has been debunked. I brought that up weeks ago. Valravn has a backbone.

Isn't backbone the piece connected to the drop that goes straight down? I don't see that on any pictures of Valravn.

  18. I'm gonna say it again, is it possible the leaked docs were just one of the ideas they had for Project X and is maybe not the final version? It seems odd, if it is a giga, that it would be so short. (It looks about the same length as Diamondback to me...could be wrong). It also seems strange that the original poster would leak them, delete them and then openly tell people they signed an NDA.

  19. I know pretty much nothing about this kind of stuff but could that blueprint be a layout KI started off with but decided to scrap. Kinda like a rough draft? Not saying it is, just wondering about the possibility
