  1. Super easy way to save some money and blame it on covid. Wouldn't blame the park. People will be there regardless. (Speaking about the theater and having a permanent show in there this year.) Probably more street performances, small band stages, etc.
  2. Pretty much every park but Cedar Fair loads full trains now.
  3. Sounds good. https://www.rivershorecreative.com/kingsisland This is KIghostguy's book, right? Hadn't seen anyone mention it actually being on sale now with a release date. Good stuff.
  4. $50 right now gets you entry, food and parking. Same type of deals will be in play all season. Same for KI. Days tickets are $40 right now. $75+tax and service fees is probably real close to the price to change your gold to platinum. Opens more options for you this summer. Pull out a spreadsheet. Plug some numbers in. See what works best. There's a lot of ways to do this and there are probably still more ticket offers to come. (groupon, etc.) In reality, you'll probably get cheap tix for him at KI. Another way to save money: Parking at Cedar Point good for 24 hours. You can skip paying the second day if you arrive a few minutes earlier than you did the day before.
  5. Technically, GG and an in house crew are working on The Racer. They are working on different sections.
  6. Went to Orlando and Tampa in Dec. Flew to Dallas for SFOT 2 weeks ago. Last week we flew down for SFFT and SWSA. Both great parks. SFOG is driving distance and opens March 8. Dollywood the next weekend. Not much longer here.
  7. Can't wait to get back. CP opens May 14. No indication of Passholder days there, yet.
  8. My trips were at opening and the first couple months. I know what you're saying, though. MForce had a tough late season, and Maverick was on the fritz a lot. When Top Thrill opened until early Sept, CP hit their stride and was great with FL+. At no point would I have recommended CP without FL+ unless you really understood what you were getting into. (I got a rollback while lapping Top Thrill this summer.)
  9. Some different opinions in here for sure. I made 2 additional trips to CP this year because FL+ was so darn good this year. I never saw anyone in the FP lines. It's 8 hours one way and when I was able to find more FL+ passes, I didn't hesitate to buy them and head back. Rare you can lap Steel Vengeance over and over and never have someone in line ahead of you. Same for Mav and Top Thrill. Loved it. I know at least one other person that did the same thing.
  10. Nope, still for sale on several of their sites (including CW). It's under 2021 Season Passes in the ticket window pop up.
  11. All Park Season Fast Lane on sale now if know you anyone that wants it. For example: It's on Canada's Wonderland page and app right now if you want to save a few bucks.
  12. The $850+ all season all parks Fast Lane is for all parks. There were no restrictions last year. You could buy at either park and use it at either park. They do sell park specific season FP which is what you showed at Carowinds.
  13. Park does not matter. Buy it on any of their sites when available.
  14. Why? What difference did it make other than adding another step and discourage people from going? Cedar Point seemed to be the only park that really needed reservations outside the first week or two. Then again, maybe that added step took care of discouraging enough that they didn't hit cap.
  15. More info on the flight. He was positive. He did die. Didn't read it all so unsure of what all he did in the Orlando area. Can't imagine being on that flight. Best of luck to all involved. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9071655/Photos-passengers-onboard-United-fight-complete-chaos-passengers.html
  16. I would imagine there were people with covid at amusement parks most every day they were open this year. Good news is it's an unlikely place to transmit it outside of your group.
  17. I think Cedar Fair is about the only place doing every other row now days.
  18. These are all common sense and are probably things you should do anyway. None of those things are cause for industries to be restricted in any way. That's what we are talking about. Why are businesses being restricted in any way if a vaccine is available? We both agree that doing stupid things is dumb. We don't seem to agree that life should "return to normal" once people have access to the vaccine. I know we don't agree on "returning to normal" before the vaccine is widely available. We can disagree. Not a problem. Neither of us control our future here, the govt does, which sucks.
  19. If it's stay home and mask up without the vaccine, and stay home and mask up with the vaccine because you can't get complacent, then what is the point?
  20. If you've had the vaccine, why do you care if I've had it?
  21. What's the point of the vaccine? So you don't get sick. Stay home or take precautions if you think you need it and don't have it. Can't continue to destroy businesses to get to some imaginary zero spread that will never happen.
  22. Is there evidence you can? And it's not my fault if you don't have the vaccine. Take the precautions you think necessary.
  23. If you've had the vaccine why do you care about other people?
