I honestly don't understand what you're trying to get at here... just because don posts about something doesn't mean the park isnt allowed to post about it too.

Glad they are including Linus Launcher and The Flume in this retheme, the transition from rivertown to Camp Snoopy will be a lot less jarring than the transition to Planet

That's so sad, My grandpa always tells me stories of the dances at moonlight Gardens in its Hay Day

Any word on what will happen to the pool and moonlight gardens?

In my experience Six Flags Fiesta Texas in the park in the Legacy Six Flags chain that feels most like a Cedar Fair Park and California's Great America is the park in the Legacy Cedar Fair chain that feels most like a Six Flags park

What he has claimed that he wanted, turning the parks into a more family friendly and premium experience is good. But it’s going to take more than talk, they need to invest in changes. The biggest investments were pricing and pass changes that drove away customers, reducing the crowds so that they had shorter lines.
He raised prices without actually improving the quality. Claimed that no investment was needed for the next few years and cancelled most projects, then suddenly backtracked and had to order whatever off the shelf rides that were available. Whatever investments they are making are opening extremely late, one of the 2023 projects announced last year just opened this weekend, when the season is basically over. Budget cuts that including closing entire lands at parks, just wiping the rides off the map, app, and website. Where is the live entertainment at Six Flags parks? Cancelled Holiday in the park at 4 or 5 parks.
Those are just the things off the top of my head. I guarantee there is more that I am not remembering. He also made changes that are not customer facing, including firing a lot of corporate staff.
To say Selim has done nothing but raise prices without improving quality is a straight up lie, as someone who has been going to Six Flags parks multiple times a year every year since 2018 there is a noticable difference with the quality of the parks before and after Selim, Six Flags America for example, and the one I'm most familiar with, has improved drastically under his leadership, and the new rides, such as rookie racer, that Salem has installed have looked miles better aesthetic wise compared to previous additions.

I don't really see that tbh, theres nothing but good signs in everything that has been released, and keep in mind that Cedar Fair will still be the majority share holder

The article is behind a paywall, but here's some stuff that was noted in it:
- Richard Zimmermann (Cedar Fair) is going to be the CEO for both companies, while Selim Bassoul (Six Flags) is Executive Chairman
- Both offices for Six Flags (Grand Prarie, Texas) and Cedar Fair (Sandusky, Ohio) will be relocated to a new office in Charlotte, North Carolina near Carowinds
- They are going to be using the Six Flags name for the new company, but will still trade under $FUN
- Both the Peanuts and Looney Tunes/DC IPs were mentioned, no other information was listed
Keep in-mind while this is the Wall Street Journal reporting on this, I would still take this with a grain of salt until we hear anything official from Cedar Fair and/or Six Flags. Assuming this is real, I'm hoping that it won't be too much of a change for Kings Island since Richard Zimmermann is still CEO.

We got an article from Six Flags themselves, it's real...

Shout out to the Orion crew today, they were consistently rolling trains and even beat the lift at least once!

On a more positive note they are now playing thematically accurate music in adventure port

So is Viking Fury paired with Carousel and Tower this year for ride crews? When I worked at Skyflyer for Haunt in 2013 and 2014, Viking Fury was paired with Adventure Express (Express Ship). I guess it makes sense as Express is likely paired with the two new rides this season. Back then, Delirium was paired with Slingshot (Deli-Shot), Congo was with Invertigo (Go-Go), Drop Tower was with The Bat (Drop Bat), and Banshee and Skyflyer were each their own crews. Skyflyer requires the ride ops to be 18.
I miss my days of running rides between Coney and KI.
Yup, Adventure Express, Ship and Slingshot (Deli Shot got dissolved at the end of 21 with deli going to Go-Go) were paired until the end of last year and I can confirm that this year Adventure Express is going to be paired with Cargo Loco and Sol Spin

Love this, glad to see parts of LeSourdsville still finding new life more than 20 years after the park closed

Hopefully it's open soon, that area back there feels so dead without WindSeeker now that Vortex is gone

Apologies for the bump - has there been any recent news about the park or is it dead in the water (or lack thereof)?
I passed the Beach several times this past year and never saw any signs of activity. No customers, no employees, no flowing water. At least the lights are still on.
The sign on kings mills rd was repainted this summer but thats pretty much it

I just hope that if they are getting rid of the park maps for good they do what Cedar Point does and have a poster sized souvenir map that you can buy

no amusement park would ever spend 30 million dollars for a "filler coaster"

I would love if they did little models of the antique autos

The Beast is too rough to enjoy.
Yes, this does come from me. I usually can tolerate rough rides but the rides I’ve had in beast are just unbearable. Last time I rode, I got a bruise on my shoulder.
Last time I rode The Beast in a wheel seat it felt like my spine was about to snap like a toothpick, don't get me wrong I can handle my fair share of roughness (I once rode Vortex 56 times in a row) but The Beast is getting to a point where its unbearable.
