I demand a POV immediately.  We've all been patiently waiting this most accurate recreation.  :)

Coming soon! Should be on amusement insiders in the next few days!

Oh, my mistake,  but 5089' is significantly shorter than LEVI. Just hard to believe that after the first drop there is only one airtime element before the turnaround.

Just finished my recreation on No Limits ... Track length is somewhere around 5440 ft, based on what I have.

Millennium Force: Cool name in 1999 for announcement and 2000. Outdated reference by 2001. What does it even mean? (Yes, I know a cheesy story explains it.)

Intimidator 305: decent name,  theme pretty good. Licensing fee and NASCAR popularity has been declining since even before its debut.

Leviathan: Great,  unique name that fitting a giant coaster.

Fury 325: What does it even mean? Hopelessly generic.

Shooting Star: Timeless. Throwback to Cincinnati history, everyone knows what a shooting star is.

My point is Shooting Star has appeal even though it may not be the trendiest name.

Wait, let me play dumb for a moment. Is the coaster called shooting star? Lol

No offense but I really hope you're wrong about this. I know there is history there, but check it out:

    MILLENIUM FORCE

    INTIMIDATOR 305

    LEVIATHAN

    FURY 325

    :P

Wait is Shooting Star the going name prediction now? If so, I like it! :-)

I do find it interesting that both the regular and Fast Lane queues are hard-routed to go through said "New Prop Building"; all riders must enter the assumed Quonset hut even at the queue's shortest length.

Guys, I think we are on to something. This is a Quonset Hut. It also happens to be integral to the ride experience as riders must go through here regardless. I do feel like it’s a show building. Instead of What’s in the shed, it’s “What’s in the HUT?!” This will be epic.

  6. No Limits 2 Update! I am working super hard to accurately represent what we are getting and I want to make it look amazing. Stay tuned this weekend or early next week for a POV / Cinematic off-ride Video that will GET YOU HYPE ALL OVER AGAIN!

Quick question?! What color should the supports, track and bottom accent be? Also what color should the train, and seats be? I need your help! I want this to be a prediction this community can be proud of!

If the coaster is anything like this No Limits recreation by Coasterheads on YouTube, you’re gonna be in for an incredible ride:

This looks good! Still working on my concept. Working with overlays and everything to get it perfected. Still ... I love this coaster. It’s gonna be so much fun! It’s all about perspective. Is it a record breaker? Noo. But will it be wicked?! Big time!

That would make it an X-plane (experimental plane). A name something like X-301 would be interesting, because it's both lacking but at the same time, fits the theme perfectly.

Oh my! I LOVE X-301 for a name!!

Latest blueprints do not show enough to say at this point. Knowing the height now, I'm going to estimate 81°, but there's no guarantee.

I’ll figure this out later for ya! (Building a Prediction Layout based on the plans this week in No Limits) You are probably right, though! 81-82 degrees makes sense given the height!

  10. For good ole times sake, this was my original height calc back when we got the footer drawings and the decoding 2020 was mainly trying to decode that faulty scale bar lol. It was 285 ft then, and it’s 285.9 ft high now! Boy how things change, and even more so how things don’t change. Lol

  11. Hey, I might just be going crazy but maybe this is all part of a bigger plan. Maybe Kings Island will be getting the record breaking RMC ground up topper track woodie in 2024 and in 2030, maybe KI will get that Strata! It’s all a process y’all!

Dollywood lists Lightning Rod as having a height of 206 feet.

Yet it is only 80 from the top of the hill to the top of the coaster.

No one here seems to be able to answer one fundamental question.  How is the height of a coaster typically calculated?

This is the 30 million dollar question, my friend!

I consider it a Giga automatically if it has a 300 foot drop, regardless of height since it is the drop and not the height that determines all of the characteristics of the ride. Same with a hyper but with a 200 foot drop. So Phantom's Revenge is a hyper despite the tallest point being 30% smaller than the biggest drop. If drop is less than 200 or 300, then I consider it a hyper or giga based on whether it is "within reason". I think 10% is a good benchmark. This way, things like Magnum are still a hypercoaster, but we don't have to count things like High Roller on the Stratosphere Tower, which obviously shouldn't count. as a 909 foot coaster.

Could not have said it better myself

Yep, 286' lift height (per footings coordinates and today's blueprints) with a 301' drop (per today's blueprints).

It all depends on the datum that the park sets as the zero height. I have reason to believe that the 0 height will be set at the base of the station. If this is indeed the case, as measuring from the map, the coaster will have a height of 300-305 ft and a drop of about 301 ft. REGARDLESS, they will market it as a giga, because it is a giga.

Lol, where did he get the 305 foot drop from? I saw one post here that initially speculated 330 and was corrected and then since then the consensus has been 301. I don't think I've seen anyone on this forum give 305 as their estimate.

Sorry for the late reply, Just got out of a midweek church service! But he probably saw this! Lol

I'm going to call it... lift height is 286' with a 301' drop. The footings directly under "top of lift" are at 749' and 750' ground elevation. Subtract the 1035.9 lift height from these numbers puts the lift height at 286' above ground. Subtract the lift bottom elevation height of 735' from the lift's height of 1035.9' gives us a drop right at 301'.

    Lift height, 286'

    Drop height, 301'

That would make sense, except the height of the coaster isn’t based on the ground below the top, it’s based on the zero point “they” set for the coaster.

Do the track math with heights and see how long it really is. It may have really big hills.

Will do entire coaster in no limits tonight. I’ll post findings tomorrow or ASAP!
