  1. Gravity Group would be a better fit for Cedar Point than GCI if its records they want.
  2. I wasn't really sure where to ask this. I thought a couple months ago Cedar Fair decided not to sell any fastlanes this year. I understood the only ones able to use it was people who purchased 2020 Fast Lane in 2019 or winter or spring. I just got an email stating they are for sale for $90 a day. Anybody know when or why they changed their minds?
  3. If you want night rides you want to go during Haunt or Coasterstock in a normal year.
  4. Even if you only remove Nighthawk there is room for a GCI with a twister layout.
  5. With today's technology in sure one manufacture could replicate the ride. Also what does Steel phantom have anything to do with it? That ride was basically Vortex and Magnum combined into one ride from what I understand and that was a bad idea. People were going through The Vortex style inversions at 80 mph. Which was faster than the computer models thought possible.
  6. If Magnum ever reaches the end of life then I think there's enough of a fan base to rebuild it like Hulk at Universal.
  7. King Cobra was terrible but I only rode it at Kings Island. I HATE standups. I used to think my opinion wasn't maybe valid because I rode it so long ago and before I was even 20 but then last summer I rode Vortex at Carowinds and it reminded me that yes standups are still godawful rides. I don't like the blue ice cream and I prefer the harder serve over the soft serve any day but I love Cincinnati style chili but its only good as a topping. Not as an actual bowl to eat.
  8. Move Nighthawk from Carowinds to Kings Island and put it in Area 72...
  9. The park is usually closed to buyouts the entire weekend of whatever Cedar Points first Haunt weekend is. Last year their Haunt started on Friday Sept 13. That means they usually get 7 weekends and King's Island gets 6 weekends for Haunt. That second weekend aka King's Island's first Haunt weekend the park is usually closed to buyouts on Sat until 7 or 8pm then opens for Haunt to everyone. Then depending on how it falls on the calendar there is one more Haunt weekend in Sept.
  10. As slow as ops are due to Covid restrictions a third train wouldn't help much. They would be stacking trains.
  11. So I thought all this time T4 was a joke but maybe not? According to this Keys to the Kingdom Itinerary we get to see the first trains on site.
  12. The operation limitations and the shorter hours is why I'm waiting until next year to visit Cedar Point again. 3 hours is quite a drive for half a normal park.
  13. 2 parks catering to completely different kinds of people then. Indiana Beach has proven this summer that there is still a market for lax or no Covid precautions. Good or bad it is a good business strategy short term. Long term it's gonna hurt them.
  14. Why should people on here be harassed if they want to go to a park like Indiana Beach. You can still wear a mask and take all the precautions yourself.
  15. It's been 5 months and it's time to stop living in fear. Also for Bodda's sake fix your quote.
  16. That fall calendar is terrible. Not open on any Fridays and only open till 8pm on Saturdays. That means the park is closing 5 hours early and it still is almost no night rides. Normally end of September it's getting dark around 7:30pm and fully dark by 8pm. Indiana Beach on the other hand is staying open till 11pm and hiring scare actors. Guess where I'm going in October... Editing for the confused person. The last 10pm close is September 19. That is still technically summer not fall

  18. Keys to the Kingdom is Sunday August 30 and tickets may still be on sale.
  19. I don't see why there is confusion. Those fall months are bonus months unless you are renewing your pass. If you are renewing than you likely understand the rules and or already have said add ins for the current year. The way to completely fix the issue would be to make season passes 12 month passes good for 12 months from the time you buy it. It's how most year round parks do it.
  20. Dollywood will revoke passes if people are caught sharing passes for things like discounts and meals and I assume Cedar Fair takes a similar stance. It just isn't worth taking the risk.
  21. No hard drinks are allowed in any ride que but sadly some people ignore the rules.
  22. Front row is very hard to get if you are a single rider. You will need Fast Lane and hope the family seated to row one ignores the ride ops and goes to row 2. You then have to get assigned row 2 from the ride op and go to row 1 when said family of 2 or 3 ignores instructions.
  23. The food trucks food always put any other in park food to shame. Haunt 2018 I spent a lot of money going around trying food trucks. I really was looking forward to that last year and they only had 2 trucks. One of which was the amazing 1776 Grill.
  24. It is the same people that stand in line for a new iphone for 24 hours.
