  1. That wasn't the first time nor will it be the last time Don has acted that way on this forum.
  2. I wanted a sweet tea at the Chick Fil A last year and same as you 1 minute past and nope even though they have to dump it all anyways.
  3. Cedar Point does midnight Haunt closes and the parking lot is madness. If you get there early like I did last year and park near GateKeeper you may have to sit for 2 hours. Close at midnight and everybody stays till midnight. Close at 1am and the place seems to start to clear out at midnight making leaving the place so much better.
  4. I would be willing to trade Orion for a fully functioning never breaking down Firehawk. Here is why and its all just my opinion. Firehawk was likely the best Vekoma flying Dutchman. Only other one I've rode was Nighthawk and its better than that one. I miss Firehawk and it gave some amazing night rides. You either loved Firehawk or you hated it. Unlike Orion which I think everybody is gonna like but some will love. Orion isn't better than Fury 325. I prefer something unique or the best ride in its class when visiting a park.
  5. Don't forget they cut all 1am Haunt closes too and that has been a tradition for years to stay open till 1am. I love my night rides and 10pm during the summer just isn't usually good enough. The sky isn't completely dark until 9:30pm. But hey its still the one thing they do better than Kentucky Kingdom or Holiday World.
  6. 14 times does not make it the best ride or better than Diamondback and I think you are trying to imply that. I drove 2 hours to ride Orion and to ride it at night. I bought my all season Fast Lane last year with Orion in mind. It takes several rides in different seats to get a good opinion of a new ride. During the day I took my time and went around to all the rides I loved and rode them 2-3 times. Then about 8pm on all I rode was Orion and I think I rode it 9 time in a row. Friday was also my first rides on Orion ever. Would I hop in the car right now and go ride Orion again? No. I feel like I have to try and defend the comment I made earlier and I wish I could just delete it as it would be much easier otherwise my comment or "review" which it really isn't was just made invalid by riding Orion more than Diamondback.
  7. I rode Orion 14 times Friday. Got a couple rides at night in too. I have only rode 3 gigas so far and I'd rank it dead last behind Fury 325 and Millennium Force. My very first ride was front row and I really was not impressed at all. Next 3 were back row. This is a back row coaster. The only really good front row ride I had was the one night ride. The air time is much stronger in the back. I wish the lift hill didn't slow as you are about to crest over it. I also wonder if anything could change with full trains next year but I doubt it. That does not seem to matter much with B&M's. I have anyways preferred the longer Diamondback style trains but I understand why they use the shorter trains. Overall after 14 rides I think the ride is way too short and I still can't make my mind up if its better than Diamondback. I'm leaning toward no and that one surprises me. I had 2 rides on Diamondback that same day and got more airtime and those 2 rides were in my opinion just as good as any of my 14 on Orion.
  8. How would you know since you were "Glad you didn't come."
  9. The complete opposite of Friday. Crowds got bigger the later it got.
  10. It is every Beast tunnel. I noticed that on Friday and forgot to ask about it. It also ran crazy slow and almost hung near the top. Must really be a ride that needs full trains to fly. I only rode it during the day because I chose Orion as my night rides.
  11. Isn't Hollywood studios busier and more popular than Magic Kingdom?
  12. I wonder if everybody had the same idea as me yesterday. "Hey its gonna be borderline hot tomorrow (Sat) and more people will be there so lets go tonight".
  13. I was on Orion but with the masks its hard to hear most employees and they can't hear me either. Everything is muffled.I asked for an xl in a particular Orion shirt and I still do not know if they had it or not. 2 people came out and I could not make out what they really said. I asked for fried rice at the Panda Express and she gave me steamed white rice. I asked the girl at the Chicken shack if toast came with the sandwich and after asking 3 times she said yes. When my meal came out there was no toast and they were calling for a ticket number they never gave me. I did buy 2 beers and some candy in the Sweet Shop.
  14. I got off my ride at 9:41pm and the ride ops said the line was now closed for the night due to fireworks.
  15. The Orion line reached Meteor Canteen tonight.
  16. I almost got that but I've never had good brisket at this park so I went with old faithful the pub burger.
  17. I 2nd the busy part. I'm there too. But that can't possibly suck can it because it's good for the park. Parking lot was past the Banshee 10 sign at 2pm if that means anything.
  18. If the water park cost extra I would never use it. I would rather drive an extra 2-3 hours for a much nicer water park in Kentucky or Indiana.
  19. If it ends up being anything like the Thrills in the Hills event I attended at Dollywood last month it will be the farthest thing from crowded. There were only 48 people for the event.
  20. Do you have a link somewhere to that info about Kentucky Kingdoms Halloween cancellation? While I expected this I have messaged them about it after they updated their hours and got no response. It's part of the reason I bought a season pass and I haven't used it nor is it good next year.
  21. Hades 360 is not a terrible coaster. It is quite the opposite. Its a top 2 or 3 wood coaster for me. I also don't get why you typed Mean Streak. It wasn't a Hurler clone and in the 90's without the trim on the first drop it was not terrible either.
  22. Both Holiday World and Kennywood have tunnels going under roads so tunnels could happen but if one was going to do that it would be better to bulldoze the Beach and use it for parking then use existing Soak City parking for expansion.
  23. Well they never were going to be open till 1am this year even before Covid messed it all up. If they are only open till 5 or 6pm in the fall then they likely won't even open on Fridays and there goes one of my 2 days a week I can visit. I would prefer they stick with their midnight close they had scheduled but even 10pm would be okay because in the fall part of the reason I go is night rides. It may be harder to police social distancing at night in a dark park so that is one reason why they may not. These couple August 10pm weekends could be a test of sorts for that.
  24. Quick someone photoshop Devo whipping a banana real quick... Please thanks.
  25. Is that brisket or ribs? It looks to be on the burnt side and I can't tell. Editing this to say I was on mobile when I asked the question. I can see now a bit clearer that it is ribs.
