  1. I was able to ride it 3 more times. I usually prefer the front half of a train on most roller coasters but I jumped on the next to last seat and this was incredible. I love the back on Orion! What an amazing ride!
  2. I am confused on this. Can I bring a friend for the special deal with Gold pass members on any day? Say Monday August 4rd? Tomorrow? What is that price? I have 4 gold passes, is it 4 people per gold pass that can come? Do they just show up with us? I have 5 friends that we want to bring but was not sure how this works and not sure I am understanding what I read. Thanks
  3. I am not a fan of this one. I have never been on it and the darn gun work other than the very first year. I love a good dark ride but this one just don't do it for me.
  4. I agree that a dark ride is essential to a park for the overall park experience. Not ever going to be a primary attraction but needs to be there. Like a carousel, Not a primary attraction but needs to be there. All these add up to a really good park.
  5. Thanks everyone. I assumed that would be the case but with all the silliness these days you never know
  6. I have searched and can't find this information. Looks like my girls want to go back before school starts. We are thinking about going one evening and stay over night and all day the next day. We can't get there till around 6:00 PM though. I know that is only 2 hours left to the day but wanted to know if we can still get in at that time. I can't find a phone number to call them and for some reason my computer is acting up and I can't get an email through to them. Only thing I am finding is tickets for after 3:00 so I know we can get in after 3:00 just not sure how late.
  7. What I never see reported is the fact that less then 1/2 of 1% of the US population has this virus. The others have already gotten over it or never had it yet.
  8. We were there Friday, my oldest girl was getting a drink of water at a water fountain and didn't step 3 feet from it before a security guy jumped all over her for not wearing her mask. I told him we were wearing them but she just took a drink of water and was in process of putting it on when he jumped her. We only went to ride Orion but my girls ended up riding Whitewater Canyon also. After that we were done. The mask was just to much to deal with. We will not go back till we can go without a mask. That or I will just keep it under my chin like so many others were doing. I had my hands in my face 100 times more often because of that stupid mask.
  9. Just got home from the park. We drove 6 hours round trip just to ride this and here is my review as what you would call a GP rider. First, a little background. I am a former MX and FMX rider/racer and I am a one park wonder for the most part. Kings Island is my home park and has been since around 1980. I have been to Holiday World a few times as well but mostly for the water park. I also went to Cedar Point in 1997 but remember almost nothing of the place. Till now, Diamondback and Son of Beast were the two largest coasters I had ever ridden. For Orion, I absolutely loved it! That first drop is simply incredible and unlike anything I have experienced before. When I was watching the wave turn before riding I thought it was going to be awkward and to high before the twist started but that was not the case. I was on the second row (my girls were on the front row) and felt perfect. I am not a big enough roller coaster follower to know the correct terminology but the rest was the best I had ridden myself. If I was to make a complaint, I wish it could have been another 5 to 10 seconds longer. I suspect that if it was, it would have lost to much speed and made it feel off from the rest of the ride. I am looking forward to going back and riding the back row. The Beast will ALWAYS be my number 1 ride of all times because of many things but I have a new number 2. Diamondback and Banshee will now be tied for 3 and 4. I forgot to mention earlier... I got to meet Don Helbig today! Very nice getting to talk to him. He was just passing by and a couple of us said hi and he stopped and started talking to us. I can tell he loves the park!

  11. If you are so worried about it then stay home. You are not going to get 100% of the people to do things like they should. We have been experimenting on how to were a mask and not have our glasses fog up. We have yet to figure something out. I assure you that I will be taking my mask off often just to get my glasses to defog. So now they are forcing me to put my hands on my face FAR more often than if I didn't wear a mask.
  12. I just had a thought about the face masks. What are people using when you have glasses and not fog up your glasses? I use a mask all the time when I mow grass but if I stand still my glasses fog up. This will be a problem standing in line. I have tried many different kinds of masks and non of them allow me to stand still and not fog my glasses.
  13. I have no idea. She said she was not even sure what she done but whatever it is, I have the app on there now
  14. My wife figured out my work phone so looks like I am in!
  15. That is a foreign language to me.... I know they just did get these phones new about 5 months ago. I know hoe to make a call and text and that is about all. I can take a picture and send it in a text and that is pretty advanced for me. Give me a windows based computer and I am good but sadly that don't work as a cell phone.
  16. I made the reservations and all just fine on the computer. Work has told me I can download the KI app to the company phone and looks like there is something wrong with the phone. I even have the guys in the shop that know what they are doing with I phones look at it and they are saying there is something wrong with it. I am not buying a cell phone so I am not sure what I am going to do. I suspect I will not be able to go all because I refuse to get a phone... GRRRRR
  17. If I go and am wearing a mask, the first time I see someone smoking out of a designated area and not told to put it out, The mask will come off and will stay off.
  18. I have one that work provides but I can't add anything to it for personal use. I have another guy at work that is the same as me. He is actually worse, His family has no computers of any kind either. I had a trackphone for a while for vacations but got rid of it
  19. That would suck if I would have to buy a cell phone. I will not be able to go if that is the case.
  20. Okay, Thanks. If that is all it is then I am fine, I was thinking they wanted a doctors paperwork or something, lol. We are going to try and go one of the first 5 or 6 days but only long enough to ride Orion and leave. Sadly, I can't do a smart phone app. I hope there is another way to reserve a spot.
  21. I am sure this has been asked but I can not find anyplace that tells me what this means. I have been looking and googling but nothing. Maybe it needs its own thread. "A requirement to complete a pre-visit health screening declaration 24 hours prior to admission"
  22. LOL! That is exactly what I told the guys at work. We are expendable
  23. I am over it and ready to go ride. The death rate is turning out to be very low and 40% of that number is because of idiots that sent covid patients to nursing homes. I am ready to open all of it
  24. I have REALLY bad allergies and also asthma. I have to wear a mask all the time in the summer when I mow grass. I am all to familiar with wearing masks in 90+ degree temperatures. I will wear a mask to do what I have to do. I am not wearing one to do what I don't have to do.
