They could easily plant a bank of white pine around The Beast turnaround and hide it from the midway.  White pine grow fast and are relatively inexpensive.
There would still be plenty of room  for a coaster

that walkway between Rivertown Pizza and the jukebox diner used to be tree lined    Slowly but surely they’ve made it as barren  as the rest of the park.

Kings Island Is an ugly park.   That’s 100% because of the lack of trees and shade around the park. It’s sister park in Virginia is absolutely gorgeous because it’s tree covered.    They can do all the painting they want but the lack of greenery makes the park rather depressing walking during the daytime

Planet Snoopy, the back part of Rivertown, Area 72 Action Zone and the center of the park are totally barren    The remodel of I Street was also disappointing considering the small number of trees they planted

with 90+ degrees days it amazes me that these theme parks don’t try to make their customers more comfortable with shade well the walkways and the queues    There are numerous rides at Kings Island b with no shade while you wait     Shade structures are not that expensive to build

I think Cedar Fair tries to save cost of tree trimming. But it makes some very unpleasant parks

it was disappointing they built Orion so close to The Beast    It breaks the isolation     And definitely decrease the quality of the night rides

Ugly? No. The front entrance is one of the best in the world and the park does a great job with theming and keeping the park clean. While the park may not have much shade, I think KI is one of the nicest looking parks ever.

I still feel they would not have painted it if they knew it was going to be removed.  Maybe in testing for the season they found the footers or anchors had to be rebuilt??  idk

Well they didn't repaint Vortex, but no one saw Vortex getting removed. Same with Bavarian Beetle actually, they were originally going to reopen Bavarian Beetle after an inspection but found some fatal flaws that ended the ride.

  3. I know that the manufacturer is not the reason you guys are thinking of, but think about what has happened with their past products. First of all, there is Orlando Free Fall. That may not be a good enough reason, but there is also the fact that some of their past slingshots have had their cables snap and injure riders before. I think with that and the Orlando Free Fall incident, KI may not want to test their luck. On top of that, they removed it without anyone knowing.

Edit: I had no idea the ride was 20 years old, so that may be it. However, I'm still half convinced it's because of the manufacturer.

Made an Action Zone expansion based off of what Carowinds is supposedly getting next year:

    Rides include:

an S&S scream n swing replacing Congo

    a zamperla air race

    a zamperla nebulaz

    a trabant ride

Also features a new food stand and keeps the Timberwolf stage for shows

I would actually be down for this. KI has some great flats but I feel like they need a couple more standout ones. Skyhawk is one of the best flats imo, so I would like to have one at KI, especially in the Action Zone.

  5. The helix didn’t have the gradual banking back then. Looked a lot more aggressive. I honestly can’t wait for this retrack, The Beast absolutely beat me up on my last ride and it is sadly my least favorite adult coaster at KI right now. Hopefully this puts it in the right direction!

Also just to clarify, the drop and the helix were the two roughest parts of the ride. Guess there was a lot of people who noticed this.

I believe that is the first time I've ever seen FAAC described as very very rough.  I've always found it silky smooth and sneaky fun.  Its aim is the 4-7 year old kid and their parents, so I get the boring in comparison to your typical coaster.  I've always found it fun.

My worst coaster... Excalibur at ValleyFair! or Cedar Creek Mine Ride.

It’s not the track that’s rough, the trains just have a super bad shakiness and it feels like it’s about to fall apart.
