Seriously... I literally said besides passing. Figured that meant passing by as you queued. Just like passing people in a grocery store line or what not. But if everyone's on their appropriate sticker nobody should be side by side directly for when you're standing still. it is hard not to pack in like sardines when that's what you've been used to all these years. spacing out will take some getting used to and nobody's going to be perfect 100%. But the spacing in pics is still really good.

If you're correctly using the stickers you wouldn't be side by side besides passing. she shouldn't be there hence the staggered stickers. edit to add: Dollywood had this but many of us didn't really realize the stickers were purposely staggered not just extra feet apart

You know if this country thought more about others then all about me attitude we'd be doing better. I find it baffling the many who'd rather pass on rhetoric of if you're scared yada yada... than listen to actual experts in the subject matter. The cdc is made up of people who spent 10 plus years gaining their masters and doctorates in micro biology and infectious diseases to study and help fight these viruses. their agenda? the health and well-being of this countries citizens and help keep them safe and informed as best they can. Oh my god how dare they /sarcasm ... But sure your high school/ 4yr collage ass knows more than them. It's not weak or an agenda to follow their recommendations and want to help your fellow man. It's not an infraction on your liberties or whatever other bull you're being fed. It's a cloth mask. If more people would just wear them when out in public this would be going down much faster but here we are. Interestingly yes I feel safer at the theme park then I do at the grocery store because at least one is enforcing the masks. I'm glad we were on the outside of town for the unofficial rod weekend in pigeon forge it was completely packed and yea not much mask wearing. During the week before We only visited anakeesta and most wore masks most stayed distant and it wasn't as crowded. We also only went to a couple museums that required masks and skipped those who weren't. I'll vote with my money and give it to those who at least are trying to put others health and well being first. Out doors and spaced out at the putt putt no we didn't wear them except when inside the building. if a piece of cloth over your mouth and nose is that terrible stay home but don't complain that it's not fair. I'm sure there are dead people who'd gladly take your place if only they could so as not to have had to die alone in their hospital room.

It's possible due to the pandemic only a certain amount of people could be inside the park the last few months. Which means they obviously focused on Orion and the crew needed for its construction etc than the clean up crews. Had there been no virus it probably wouldn't have been left in this state for long. But that's just my benefit of the doubt thinking

Yea most weren't open or running yet, t but the ones that are we're planning to see when we go in a couple weeks with the kid and grandparents. As they don't do a lot of rides, the kid does lol. Grandpa will probably just ride the train all day We will also be going on Oct for our make up vacation and plan to go the first weekend in Dec for the Christmas stuff. I'm glad I live closer to Kings Island and not too bad drive to Dollywood.

Seems like playing the zoo card is letting them open before the theme parks are approved. Interesting approach. Gets money in the doors I guess if people like the animal parts.

I didn't say put them where the GP could touch them if they can touch them they are in the ride zones and in off limit areas lol. But I do know they are heavy and with weather could be difficult to place them in the grassy nooks by a ride. It was just a funny idea

Early morning probably be less then as the day progresses on as more come in at their times. I think Orion will have long wait times as per usual for new attractions. Hope they figure out something as I don't think they have enough space to distance what would normally be a3-4 hr line normally packed in. But maybe they added some more queuing. Maybe in Vortex's pit you start there then cross over LOLOL I'm actually surprised how many spots and actual numbers for ki, are taken so far. DW didn't say their max reduced capacity and it's clear they have come nowhere close to hitting their Max as they've already released the hold on passholder limit of reservations and have no limit on number of days after just a week being open. Expect July 2-4th to be heavier as it's a holiday and that's been the pattern for the other chains. Their opening Preview days were busier than when it opened to the Gp. But I still imagine most rides will be short to walk on like on days where there's less than 15k in the park. Only time will tell.

Instead of mazes, just put the jump scare animatronics in places along the rides lol like if they put one in the center grass area of The Beast's helix then lit it with strobes boom social distanced coaster and haunt! The park could become one giant scare park the maze actors joining the roaming ones etc. probably have to make no boo pathways though cause well ya know some don't like being scared yet come to haunt lol edit to add: think like in terms of haunted hay rides. Distanced yet scary and fun

Well it's only been a week and already Dollywood opened to unlimited reservation's with plenty of day of openings. Like all they are starting of safe but don't be surprised if it's pretty quick to let passholder make as many reservations s as they want with same day openings.

Dollywood did theirs before you boarded the tram so that it wasn't bogged down at the security and ticket area. hope it's better than our fussy robot-like forehead scanner. LOLOL been easy all week today it didn't like my forehead position for whatever reason lol

It was super easy, barely an inconvenience it was faster than Dollywood's bogged down website. It never stuttered in any of its loading and I got the date and time I wanted. Also before the email showed up. Only downside is the limit to even reserve another day after the passholder timeframe. If you had multiple day tickets and could reserve those would be nice to be able to reserve a second day for a passholder. I know I know single day brings in new money but hopefully once I'm in sun we can score the next res the following sun. But it'll be fun no matter what!

The reason the reservations are scannable they scan it just as fast as a paper ticket so maybe a few extra seconds. Temperature check hardly takes any time it's literal click hold for a couple secs then your told yes or no based on the reading. Which should be first before security check. Then everything else works same ol. Hopefully they work smith as they didn't give themselves a very big window of time before the next group.

It an outdoor environment it never bothers me. I was ok with the restaurant ban because most places poor circulation made it unpleasant to eat and or work in if you are a non smoker. I don't choose to smoke but i don't judge those who do or try to tell them they can't have places inside an outdoor venue to do it at. They pay as much to be there as I do. Security hasn't stopped line smokers before don't know if they be stricter now. And unless they are under a camera it's always a he said she said kinda thing.

Interesting that they are having the longest preview time frame yet limiting to only one day per person. Hope the 5th Isn't too busy. Fingers crossed!

I'm not a smoker, but this ****es me off because like above only super nice rule followers will actually go there. The rest are going to say f it and do it wherever they please. With the area inside me at least would put in minimum effort but now ki is asking extra effort and it isn't really a good solution. I can avoid smokers areas but not if they are doing it in line etc. though at least the 6ft spacing will be a plus. i think there are many useable spaces that could be off the path. Like the back space behind the WindSeeker restrooms, the old tomb raider queue space, if there are no picnics could use that area, could use part of the pathway to Timberwolf, etc there lots of easily manageable spaces to put them and still have mask free zones etc.

Plenty people had no problem at other parks, from pictures and personal experience. And it's not really that hard to make a reservation, if you can make a hotel reservation you can make a park reservation. The complaint is the limit but I doubt that will last long. Just making Dollywood reservations and only yesterday was yellow meaning almost full on spaces. But the end of the month and next all all green.

So you're implying then Lysol also does no good? What's your deal man. No I said Dollywood is not using Lysol or purell as you posted in pictures. Nobody is, my work is using generic stuff who really knows how effective it is because it's whatever they can find in bulk. But it's not Lysol or even close to that strength or formula. It literally is a generic sanitizer. I'm not claiming anything other then what I saw them using cause I was there and read the bottles. They literally had dollar store spray bottles filled with some kind of clear solution with a less than 70%alcohol solution. sure something is better than nothing. But you do you man. Lysol claims to kill common cold coronavirus' not covid 19 which is a mutated strand. Listed sars strand of coronavirus. but congrats for the attack. Hope that makes you feel better. Peace man.

Neither kill covid 19 completely though. And the generic stuff they are getting their hands on is not Lysol and Purcell FYI Dollywood has germ x it was only 63.2 alcohol and specifically said anti bacterial, the spray they used was in generic bottles with a tiny label probably similar to the spray we have are generic also low percentage because that's all they can get in bulk. Lysol and Purell are hard to get off you're not a hospital or health care. That's where it's going priority.

Considering the sanitizers and sprays are anti bacterial not anti viral so it's more for show. Masks are the real line of defense and protection keeping your shed with you etc. And the distancing. But it doesn't have legs it's not going to magically jump from a railing or seat or you butt where you sat to your nose unless you are lax on hand washing and mindlessly touching stuff then your nose etc. And if you're wearing a mask again you have a first barrier. let's hope we don't create even more super bacteria resistant strains from all this extra sanitizing. doing a fresh wipe every hour is reasonable and the stuff actually works longer than one cycle. Most cleaners stay on a surface continuing to kill germs etc for a period after you've sprayed and wiped etc. it's why many warn to wipe down places you might prep food with soap and water after using disinfectant cleaners. Most leave a film barrier that works long after the products been used.
