I think a big problem with this forum right now is  that important things like this get buried under larger umbrella threads so people miss it.

i.e.: A thread called “2023 season” makes perfect sense until important deals start coming out closer to opening. Having things like Preview Day, minor new updates, show announcements, etc buried into a 100 page mega thread is simply a disservice. It’s less of a TOS thing and more of a community understanding thing.

ty sir! People get so butt hurt about things, its more for the "convenience" of finding something.

Last year it was also 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. I really wish Kings Island would do the preview day they announced for 2020 before the pandemic started. Preview Day that year was initially scheduled to be 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Before 2020, it was 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM for a while.

hmmm yeah later hours would be nice

Why did Kings Island remove SlingShot?

Age, staffing, low capacity, pay attraction. not popular unless it was cheap. Most parks are doing away with pay per ride attractions. Also same company with the Drop Tower incident.

It's called crowd control (they hope LOL)....

Only open until 7 will prevent the masses from showing up after work for only an hour or two.

The crowd in recent years when only open until 7pm was a lot less than staying open another hour until 8pm.

yeah wasnt last year like 2-9 or noon to 9?

I am glad that they are opening, I was just stating that the hours of the preview event could be limiting to those that work/are in school.  Seems rather odd to close at 7.  Would have been better to stay open until 9 or 10.

yeah not sure why they dont do at least 9 or heck just open all day

Kind of stinks that the preview day hours are 12-7.  Some people that are in school/work won`t be able to get up there until around 5.  Although it is the week after Easter, so some people might be on spring break then.  Bring back the 5-10pm pass holder preview days.

im just taking the day off, itll be good, less crowds hopefully, or they should do like 1200-1000

Then why not be 100% LOL

Didn't last years map at this time have Slingshot on it....

Can you explain away WHY they removed Subway from the website then...it has been scrubbed from every place, including obscure FAQ links.

im 8% unsure cause the sign is off the building, i was told they are redoing the roof which is why  im 92% also Sling Shot has nothing to do with anything, we all know why the took it out.

Between someone posting a screenshot of the Subway sign removed from the webcam and the website not showing Subway as a Dining location, you may want to rethink your 92% sure LOL

Considering there is a drink stand almost right next to the old Tom+Chee, I doubt it will be another drink stand.  Let's see them keep open the ones they already have before adding another one LOL.

lol well my 92% is more accurate than your "guess" ive seen the map for this year already....so i would say im right ;)

It wouldn’t shock me if Skyline was added to the Festhaus in some fashion. Maybe it can be served alongside LaRosa’s? I am more curious what is going to happen to the old Tom & Chee and Subway locations. I could see something like a mini Wishbone Grill replacing Tom & Chee, but something a little bigger could replace Subway.

Subway is still there im about 92% sure. As far as Tom and Chee probably a drink stand lol

Isn't Six Flags the one who is notorious for being cheap? If Six Flags would make an investment like that, CF absolutely could.

Not sure what a video has to do with anything,,,and yeah im sure they could, but WOULD they, probably not.

Now to hope for lot covering solar, like the zoo

Ki will never go solar, lol you know how much they would need to INVEST to power all the lights, then re run the wires, add new lights, as cool as that would be, i HIGHLY doubt it.

Since only you guys would care…

A friend of mine works in Mason and said that they are currently installing new parking lot lights at KI. My guess is that they are installing LEDs, but hopefully they are adding lights so they don’t need the temporary diesel lights in sections anymore. I’ll let you know more if/when I find out.

About dang time,, they need to INSTALL  more and REPLACE what they have now, and finish paving the lot lol

The people who are not happy about it.

(Just trying to add a little of The Interpreter’s old literal humor into the conversation. ;))

LOL  all good i appreciate that. Yeah people get mad, but better than the park telling us 2 hours before they open.
