The line to racers was almost around the corner to Adventure Express last night. Longer than Stunt coaster.

I thought the initial 7-10 feet of the drop was nearly straight and more vertical than the following. If so, then the lift hill would be just a little taller than I see in your renderings, which are great. But that first 7 feet is 85 degrees.

Me too. My wife is trying to flake on me though! I may either go solo or preferably drag her along.

I buy things all the time from Canada to save. I'm surprised it can work on this. If so, I am going all-in. I'll check on it later for sure.

Any idea on when they kinda historically open it? April or May I would assume I guess.

We are going tonight. I am all about many rides on The Beast and Mystic Timbers. And the last 3 times I have been, we havent rode but one flat ride and that was Bumper Cars...Oh and Pirate Ship. I'll ride a few flats, Obviously Banshee and Diamondback. Mystic Timbers and Beast I'll try to Marathon a few times. And I do love Adventure Express night rides. I save Racers more for Summer and twilight rides. Flight of Fear at least once as my wife loves it. Here is my conundrum. A few weeks ago I said my goodbye kind of to Vortex, which was my first big ride; the one I was forced onto against my better instincts. I remember _____ my pants up the hill and the drop was a cross between more ____ into my pants and so fun! i was immediately hook-line and sinkered! That was Vortex's first year. Anyway a few weeks ago on my Goodbye run, it broke down for 20+ minutes and we were forced to sit there coming into the station. That seems a fitting end. But I really kinda want to ride it again. The line might well be the decider there.

Anyone know when the park opens this year?

I liked this, but hope a Copperhead Strike type ride would go either back behind Orion or if they replace Invertigo. I much prefer an RMC or big Woodie to go where Vortex is. I would love A Copperhead strike type ride, but would prefer more along the lines of Maverick. Really though, there are a few spots that KI can add some cool stuff over the next decade to make it more world-class than it already is. For us Rollercoaster nuts, the good news, IMO, is that with other parks across the country upping their game, KI has no choice but to continue to up theirs', which they have done very nicely with Banshee, Mystic Timbers, and Orion the past 6 years or so. I do see the need for a couple more family and flat rides in the future too. I would love to know what's in store as would we all.

Agree. I was curious, but the second it went down it was "oh, well" in my book. I'm way more worried or interested in what happens after Vortex and even that won't effect me all that much.

With the days getting shorter and the weather getting colder and 3 cranes on site....yeah they are going to get as much done as they can over the next few weeks.

That makes me think that windy days are just massive collections of farts!! Aaaaaaaaa!

Have you done this before? How'd you feel about your value if you did? I'm very seriously considering it of course.

So it lists at 849...I assume when I pay it just does the exchange rate? That would really make me wanna do it.

Yeah thats another part I am weighing on too. I usually avoid Saturdays at KI and definitely will at CP. I tend to do Fri or Sun or even weekdays. Those Fast Lane passes are easier to swallow. My Fast Lane plus ride wait time at CP was right under an hour. It wasn't terrible but not great either. Not like at Kings Island.

It really is...I'm crunching the numbers and keep coming up with just getting the season fast plus at KI and getting Fast Lane plus for fast line prices whenever I go to CP, which likely will be 2-3 times. If I go 3 times it almost makes sense, but even then its kind of a push.

If I was the KI people and saw this thread...I'd be laughing and laughing and laughing. I'd probably do more to take the ****.

That is what I am thinking too. I just can't believe that they haven't decided or announced it yet. I am really kinda wanting the Cedar Fair wide one, but not sure if I would go to the others all that much with KI offering such great rides, and much better waits than Cedar Point. I would like to visit Carowinds and/ or Kings Dominion though. And I am sure I will go to Cedar Point 1-5 times, depending on those lines and my fast pass decision. And of course, like most things, I am way overthinking this. Also...when does KI usually open for the year and do we all anticipate Orion's first day close to that opening? I know some of those will just be guesses of course. Thanks for the help so far!

Yeah I've said now 3 times I don't think that is the case. Only that it is a possibility. You don't think that's possible? I give it a 5% chance myself. Anyway...who really cares!? I need to figure out if Orion is included in next season's fast pass!?

I doubt it too, thats why said it twice! But I do know that I hate when someone, even family, watches me too much while working. It feels weird for some reason.

Then that almost makes more sense though. This contractor might hate it. He or she might also hate the idea of a worker getting hurt on camera. I think its just bad timing and not some conspiracy though conspiracies are fun.

So I am thinking of getting either a Season Fast Pass Plus or a All Parks Season Fast Lane plus. I contacted the park to get info and they were very quick and very helpful. But the person did not know if Orion was gonna be on Fast pass or Fast pass plus. Then she mentions supplies are running out fast. LOL This is likely all true. But IF they do not put Orion on Fast pass, Orion would take so much of the lines for the other rides like Banshee, DB, Mystic, or Beast that getting a Fast pass that doesn't include Orion would almost be pointless. If the season fast pass sells out, that just means I am sure not to visit as often and would feel like I could go do a visit to Holiday World, Dollyworld and the like. If I have a fast pass for the season at KI or all Cedar Fair, then you know I won't be going to any non Cedar Fair parks this season. Its a conundrum. I feel its in Cedar Fairs best interest for money to figure this one out. I would think Orion is gonna be included in that, but how can they sell next seasons product on Fast Lane without this key bit of info? Any ideas or info that might help here? The idea of a season FLP pass to ride Orion whenever really strikes my fancy. This would mean a LOT of La Rosas too.

Perhaps the contractor or the builder hated it when they did Fury. I HATE when people are staring across my back when I work. Then you add in they are questioning why this why that. Hey Bob Ross....why ya putting that white in the cloud instead of that white? It takes you out of your zone a little. I don't really think that is why, but its certainly possible.
