  1. Anyone who was at the park on that Sunday, would have easily gotten more rides in than people who were at the park all day on Saturday. So, I don't really see what the big deal is.
  2. We waited an hour at Potato Works and an hour at Festhaus for food today.
  3. About an hour ago, the app said 60 minutes for Orion, so we came to Orion’s line. Well, we are maybe halfway through the line now, so the app was way off. However, if I open the app now it still says 60 minutes. Doesn’t even seem to be updating...
  4. It's a pretty big benefit. It shouldn't be the expectation that anyone can easily afford it. If it's cheap enough that everyone can buy it, then what's the point? They would sell so many that it would barely be an improvement over the regular line. They clearly have a large demand for it on Saturdays, or else they wouldn't have been able to sell so many. I don't know what the best price point is, but they could certainly raise the price from where it is now and still have a lot of people wanting to buy it.
  5. They definitely were filling Banshee, Diamondback, and Orion with half- FL, half- regular line when I rode on Saturday. I have no problem with FL in general, but I think they need to raise the price and sell fewer of them. That way it will still make the park money, and if you really want one you can get one. It probably doesn't matter outside of Saturdays but I think they should at least raise the FL price on Saturdays.
  6. So, they definitely need more lights on in the parking lot after dark...
  7. Today we waited 1 hour for Mystic Timbers, 2 hours for Banshee, 1 hour for Diamondback, and 2.5 hours for Orion. Also 40 minutes for LaRosa’s. On most rides they were filling half the rows with Fast Lane and half the rows from the regular line. Not sure if that is normal from past years or not. It kind of seemed like they sold too many Fast Lane passes today.
  8. Pretty crowded everywhere. We’re in line for Banshee now, we’re almost to the end but we got in line 90 minutes ago.
  9. It does say, in the FAQ at the bottom of the page: As a Season Passholder, you may have up to two reservations per passholder at one time to visit Soak City Water Park.
  10. From https://www.visitkingsisland.com/welcoming-you-back There will be no limitations to ride capacity for most rides. Guests aged 10 years and older are required to wear face coverings while indoors, unless actively eating and drinking. Face coverings are not required outdoors unless it is not possible to maintain 6’ of social distancing.
  11. It probably could change day to day, but I'll go with this list for now: 1. Orion 2. Drop Tower 3. Banshee 4. The Beast 5. Adventure Express
  12. I agree with coaster sally... that reason doesn't really make sense. The tickets go pretty quickly, it's not like the demand wouldn't be there, even if Kings Island had it the exact same weekend as Cedar Point. I'm not denying that someone gave that as the stated reason at some point, but it can't be the actual reason, in my opinion.
  13. good, shorter lines for the rest of us
  14. In fact, I don't see anywhere that that was address for Kings Island in the link. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/what-to-expect-when-we-reopen I could be missing it somewhere, though.
  15. At this point, I'm assuming they will continue requiring masks at least for the start of the season. I could be wrong, but that's my guess.
  16. I will too! I have no idea when that will be though.
  17. When people go to put items in the bins, it takes longer to get the coaster out of the station. KI wants their popular coasters to have as much capacity as possible.
  18. I wouldn't call it a terrible decision. They are trying to figure out things as they go along, and at the time they canceled Haunt and Winterfest, attendance was less than they had been hoping to see, even with the pandemic. Certainly they could have held some type of smaller event, given the success of the fall fest. These things take a lot of time to plan and prepare though. I wonder if it's too late to change their minds and have something.
  19. The one that I tried yesterday was the funnel cake, and I was disappointed with the portion size. It was good, but super small and not worth $7 or even $5.
  20. We got in line at 5:20, and a worker came by and said they would probably run out by the time we got to the front, so we went somewhere else instead.
  21. Yeah, 6 for $30 isn't a bad deal, but it's tough to justify, when already having the meal plan. Realistically I wouldn't use my meal plan on top of that even if I split the 6 items with someone. So, I'm thinking I will just try an individual item.
  22. I assume they have a certain number that is their allowed capacity right now, and that they haven't needed to use reservations recently because they haven't been close to that number. But maybe with some pretty busy weekends at Cedar Point recently, they are getting close to their allowed capacity and they don't want to have to turn people away at the gate. I could be wrong, but that was my thinking when I saw that.
  23. I don't see any reason that the correct measure shouldn't be height of the drop, or otherwise the difference between the highest point and the lowest point on the roller coaster. If we're just going by height above the ground, then the Big Apple Coaster in Vegas was a strata coaster 6 years before Dragster, and in fact it is a double-strata coaster.
  24. Seems a bit expensive. I guess it depends exactly how big the "snack-sized portions" are. I'll probably try it at least once, though. Some of those options definitely sound pretty good!
