Just looking at the webcam you can tell that they didn't use all of the space occupied by Firehawk.

They could easily make a pathway under Orion to the space between the tree line and the brake run and add some new rides.

    I think they could too!!

Just thought I would start this here. Seems to me since they didn't use all of the previous Firehawk space for Orion, I would imagine we could see Area 72 greatly expand into those areas in the near future.

Could you make a Google maps outline of the Firehawk land and the Orion land side by side? Thanks for making the thread

I got it. There is a support hidden back there it’s resting on but they had to lift this piece over the currently large support so it came up over the trees.

    Can we get a photo

Well they are actually removing the temporary supports from the lift now

What do the temporary supports do?

Anyone else catch them welding at the bottom of the helix earlier?  I didn't have time to screen shot it but it was very apparent and neat to see.  Happened around 3:30 today.

What were they welding? Have they put the chain in yet?

I've been twice, most recently on the way home from Virginia back in July (the trip from Richmond to Cincinnati takes you right through Huntington and they'd added a new coaster since I had last visited, so of course I had to stop). Fun little park.

Went in 2008. Some photos and trip report here: http://queencitydiscovery.blogspot.com/2019/12/camden-park-may-18-2008.html

Camden's a classic, little park. If anything, it's worth a visit because places like it are quickly disappearing.

I love Camden Park. It is my home park. I love Big Dipper especially at night.
