  1. Although I know it would be virtually impossible due to equipment that is up there, cabling all over, and access issues....I've thought for awhile now that the 50' level of the Effiel Tower would make a killer location for the VIP lounge at KI
  2. Anyone know any more details about the report in this video? Comment thread says he possibly blew his knee out and broke a femur. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l77JVGDbnzI I would imagine with the rain the last few weekends, the probably have cancelled a lot of the Nytewalker shows anyways, but what did they do for a replacement for the pogo sections?
  3. Man….I miss the days when an event review topic was actually about the event and not just constant off topic bickering. How about we swing back to Haunt. Has anyone gone the last couple of weekends, how has the weather affected crowds and experiences? What has been everyone’s favorite maze, scarezone, or show. Anything that is back on the actual topic….
  4. Anyone know, If I have someone in my party who hasn’t used their 2023 season pass yet, would they park let them roll it over to a 2024 pass?
  5. There have been shows with 3+ year runs though..... Endless Summer On Ice - 2007, 2008, 2009 The Nickelodeon Celebration Parade - 2004, 2005, 2006 Monster Rock which is maybe going into it's what 7th or 8th year? and of course the almost 10 year run of Hot Blooded But yes, it is true that most of the time a show is a 2-year run at Kings Island.
  6. I guess that explains why the tents were put up before they knew they could actually open.....they were filming for this video.
  7. I think a nice sized dive coaster would be an excellent addition to The Vortex plot. Slightly unpopular opinion.....it doesn't need to break any records. Just create a fun, exciting and unique layout that is visually appealing from the midway like Vortex was and it exciting to ride and I would love it. I know the enthusiast population will scream if it's not at least "X" feet tall with "X" specific elements.....but I think a dive would fit it really well in that corner of the park. SonofBaconator.....I really like your layout idea. Has B&M done a cobra roll on a dive yet? I feel like that would be a lot of fun.
  8. Thanks for getting a photo. I couldn't stop to get one when I reported on the tents earlier today. As for the parking lot, it is crazy to see how quick the weeds are popping through without the daily traffic running over them. I would imagine that they will spray or otherwise cut the weeds down before opening.
  9. Although they probably still haven't recieved a firm date for opening, as of this morning KI has erected a couple of large white tents right outside of the security checkpoints at the main gate. I would assume these will be used for temperature checkpoints. Forward progress is a decent sign.
  10. They had a basket up underneath the lift hill working about halfway up. Wonder what they could be adjusting or fixing there, especially that they couldn't access whatever it was from the lift stairs.
  11. Does anyone know if you can purchase the KI Nanocoaster kits anywhere online? I know the park was selling the SOB, Orion, and Vortex ones, but they appear to be all sold out. Also....didn't they have ones for Beast and Banshee at one point?
  12. Does anyone know what is going on with the growing number of cars in the KI parking lot? It started a few weeks ago with some cars in the extreme north side of the lot and it now stretches all the way down to the season pass lot.
  13. Probably due to the incentives they are offering to those who had their cruises cancelled. Not sure about all of the industry, but some companies are offering 125% in credit towards booking a new cruise if your cruise was cancelled
  14. That is actually the route that early Haunt attractions in that building used. When that building housed the chain-link and mirror mazes (Death Row, The Asylum, etc) you would enter from the door closest to The Racer (now the attract exit) and exit through the door leading out to the FOF midway. In fact, for a while the que was routed through a cut-through in The Racer's structure so they could hold the line on the backstage pathway behind the Zephyr and off of the midway path.
