  1. KI has many decisions, like adding a new attraction, removing an old ride, or even change in park operations/rules/management. Some of these decisions/changes that the park has made, were met with some pretty positive reactions. Other decisions, unfortunately, not so much. What do you think has been Kings Island's best decision/change that they've made, and which one has been their worst?

Most importantly: Please be respectful of other people's opinions. I want to keep this thread as friendly and welcome as possible.

    ENJOY!

  2. I don't know if you've noticed, but there are some rides at KI that have PAID lockers (Banshee, Mystic Timbers, and Orion) while other rides in the park don't. Those that don't have bins that are either located in or near the ride's station. To me, this is very strange and I want to have idea for "why" KI does this. See if you can give a good and reasonable explanation why this is happening.

Do you have any way of showing these images without having to go to Twitter?

I think the next area revamp will probably be a transformation of Planet Snoopy into Camp Snoopy.

That would be a GREAT IDEA!!

    like they did with X-Base.

Here's something that I said earlier that might interest you:

"Maybe they could "retheme" Action Zone to X-Base. They could have it be connected the storyline/backstory from the new Area 72 where Orion and Flight of Fear are located, since Invertigo is in Action Zone and is a part of Orion's backstory. Like Invertigo is the "study of balance", Banshee could be the "study of paranormal activity". But for Octoberfest, I've got nothing nothing yet."

  6. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, the Action Theater is located in between the two turn-around points on The Racer near WindSeeker. It used to be a simulator attraction. Now it's only used during the park's Halloween Haunt event as a place for a haunted maze attraction called Urgent Scare. I think it deserves a little more than this. What do you think the park use the "building" for other than a location for one of the haunted mazes during their Halloween Haunt event. Of course, be respectful of other people's opinions.

  7. I think this is Kings Island's way of saying "sorry" about the pandemic and how hard it's been on a lot of people. So Kings Island decided to say, "Okay, we understand the pandemic has been hard on a lot of people, so here's something for you to look forward to next year. This is our way of making up for anything we had to cancel this year due to the pandemic." It's nice that the park is trying to give us something new for next year. It looks very exciting and I can't wait for it to open next year!

  8. Kings Island has a few areas that I think don't need any updates and are fine the way they are right now. But there are unfortunately some areas in the park that I think having been getting the love and attention it deserves. What areas in the park do you think need the love and attention that you think they haven't been getting? You may also include why, if you want to.

  9. There's an area in the park that once made sense, but is now nothing but a shell of what it once was. That area is Action Zone. Back when Kings Island was known as Paramount's Kings Island, the area was called Paramount's Action Zone. Back then the area contained rides themed to various Paramount movies like: Face-off (now Invertigo), Top Gun (later named Flight Deck, and now The Bat), and Drop Zone (now Drop Tower). There was also a stunt show that was done around a big water tower to show guests how stunts are done when filming a movie. But when Kings Island dropped the Paramount name and went under the ownership of Cedar Fair, all of the rides and attractions themed to Paramount franchises were stripped of their movie theming and were given new names. The Paramount's Action Zone was renamed to just simply Action Zone. What was once the home of most the park's movie themed attractions, is now mostly known for the location of Banshee, and maybe Invertigo. I think Action Zone can be something better than just a reminder of what it once was. Do you think Action Zone deserves some retheming? If so, What do you think it should be rethemed to? If not, then why not? Let me know your thoughts.

They probably don't have it yet because they were anticipating no Haunt due to COVID-19.

    No Haunt=no Vortex tombstone.

This is just a joke: Or maybe Kings Island tried hiring skeletons to make the tombstone. But the tombstone was never made because the "Skeleton Crew" didn't have the GUTS to make it. LOL

I will actually be surprised if whatever takes Vortex' spot won't be called "Vortex", or have that as part of its name.

Not even the name, Son of The Vortex? No pun intended.

You don't know how many times you have been to KI this fall? ;)

When I said the "FALL season", I meant the time when Kings Island started doing the fall activities THIS YEAR. Sorry if that might have been a little confusing. And to answer your question, I know I've at least two times during the "FALL season."

  11. As of when this forum has been posted, I've been to Kings Island at least two or three times during the FALL season. In those 2-3 times I've been, I've been looking for in the "Kings Island ride graveyard" for The Vortex's tombstone. But all the times I've looked, I've had no luck finding it. Here are MY two possible reasons why I think this is: One; Kings Island hasn't had the time to make the tombstone yet. Or, two; Maybe Kings Island is, possibly, planning on, sometime, resurrecting the ride.  Who knows?

This is just MY prediction. Let me know your thoughts on why there is no Vortex tombstone.

Michigan's Adventure is my home park. Wolverine Wildcat has 3 bench PTC trains which is what The Beast has correct? So I have grown very used to riding in a middle non wheel seat car lol.

I used to not like The Beast very much until I started riding in the non-wheel seats.
