If it is like past passholder days, it will be busy.

If you go down whats currently 4 posts below. This question was already asked a few days ago. I am going to copy and paste what I said there. Perhaps merge this Thread post with the other about passholder days.

It is going to be completely different due to Covid and parks opening later than normal. Everybody wants their fix. In a non new coaster year preview night is 5 hours on a Friday, no fastlanes are not valid and lines are short. Then opening day for the GP is a Sat. This year I'm guessing preview is like last summers July preview. You will likely have to reserve one of the 2 days and will only get 1 day.

Thank you all for answering. My apologies for asking a question that had already been asked.

  2. Last year when I got into coasters my family acquired Kings Island season passes mid season. Had a blast in 2020 despite the restrictions.

I'm sure you guys already know, but the park announced there would be passholder preview days May 8th and 9th.

Since this is our first opening day with passes I have a couple questions.

How crowded is the park normally? I'm sure it will be different due to COVID, but put to scale would you expect it to be normal attendance/lines or shorter lines and less people due to it being only passholders.

I'm starting to think that Vortex's replacement won't be a coaster. I think that they could try and do a land expansion there (not the whole land due to the terrain), but try and flatten some of the land enough to do a land expansion with a couple flats. I just feel that the front of the park (Action Zone) is in more need of a coaster since the last 2 coasters were in the back of the park.

A tiny part of me thinks it might be just trees to make The Beast more immersive but it will probably be a coaster or some kind of ride

Been thinking a lot about the Crypt building recently. Is it an eyesore? Yes. With that said, however, I think demolishing it would have a lot of lost potential.

I think the wild mouse idea wouldn't be bad idea. the Dark Knight coaster keeps coming to mind and KI could easily do something like an abandoned mine shaft like Mystery Mine at Dollywood. I think KI needs more indoor attractions and while wild mouses don't have excellent capacity, it would give us another indoor attraction. Heck you could even have indoor and outdoor sections like Mystery Mine if they wanted.

The inside could get a wood facade or something to give it that mine shaft look. I don't know the feasibility of building a coaster inside an existing building that was designed for an entirely different ride, but I think tearing the building down without exhausting all other options would be a waste in my opinion.

On a side note, I'd love to see KI get a more immersive dark ride styled coaster in general, whether it be like Mystery Mine or Blazing Fury from Dollywood.

Why not just put a strata coaster inside of it... or even a Trex? talk about potential...

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I am all for the death of that little thing at this point. Given the throughput and appeal to kids, I doubt that we'll see it go.

Is that because of it's footprint or because it isn't very thrilling? I've found its a good fit for where it is given the appeal to families. I personally think its kinda boring but Id hate to see it leave. Surely another family ride goes there.
