  1. I am guessing a waterpark expansion is coming first. (Mt. Slide Hai, Deluge, and T3 can be removed to make room for this) Once the road running through the park is removed by the Kentucky State Fair Board, I would like to see some new Vekoma coasters added. Maybe a Super Boomerang, Tilt coaster, or a launch coaster. Super Boomerang at Fantawild: Tilt Coaster: Launch coaster: Kentucky State Fair Board proposal:

In particular, he questioned the credibility of CEO Selim Bassoul at the present moment. “Forgive us for not giving Selim more time to execute here, but this whole endeavor/strategy was pitched as bold to begin with, and in hindsight, we think we all would have been better off had expectations been gutted in the first place, not in the middle of summer,” Andress commented. “Our fear now is that there is no more pricing power to push on these assets, that we've hit the limits of what consumers are willing to pay to experience them.”
  4. I wouldn't be shocked if Power Tower moves to the old Scrambler location and Super Himalaya to the old Matterhorn location. This would allow a new queue for TTD and prevent a narrow midway.

  6. I went back and listened to the recording of the call again. At 23 minutes and 54 seconds: "Next Thursday we will be unveiling our 2023 capital investment program. Sharing with our guests, communities, and associates a first look at what exciting rides, attractions, and immersive entertainment are coming to our parks and resort properties."
  7. I was listening to the earnings call on Cedar Fair's investor page. https://ir.cedarfair.com/overview/default.aspx#upcoming-and-presentations Fool.com and seekingalpha.com will probably post the transcript of the call this afternoon.
  8. According to today's earnings call, all Cedar Fair announcements will be next week.

  11. Clair Hain Jr. of GCI confirmed the purchase of two Infinity Flyer trains and Titan Track for a ride opening in Spring 2023. Dan Peak of Skyline Attractions is listed as the engineer on the permits for Project 50.
  12. They need to raise prices and stop being a budget chain. /s
  13. What do you mean? Titan track with infinity flyer trains can do the same things as RMC I-Box track.
  14. The Kentucky State Fair Board is proposing redeveloping part of the Fairgrounds property with a youth sports complex, hotels, and restaurants. Several other improvements that benefit Kentucky Kingdom can be seen in the draft site plan. The road that currently cuts through the park would be redirected around the park, new VIP parking lot, redesigned access and drop off area by the park entrance, and a new parking lot and RV area. https://bloximages.newyork1.vip.townnews.com/wdrb.com/content/tncms/assets/v3/editorial/6/7a/67a0e7ea-dc64-11ec-8a64-0f8c94d3b97c/628e8966b17a9.pdf.pdf https://www.wdrb.com/news/business/millions-from-state-could-revamp-kentucky-expo-center-with-sports-complex-hotels/article_d682bd54-dc60-11ec-b60e-633df27ae2b8.html
  15. Does anyone else think this change is a sign that Cedar Fair also put Valleyfair up for sale? They said in the California's Great America sale announcement that the company conducted a strategic review of all assets in 2021 and then in Feb. 2022 they announced that the Halloween events were being scaled way back. https://ir.cedarfair.com/news/news-details/2022/Cedar-Fair-Capitalizes-on-Opportunity-to-Sell-Its-Land-at-Californias-Great-America-Amusement-Park/ It appears the waterpark expansion plans have fallen through and there isn't much of a growth opportunity at this park. https://screamscape.com/html/valleyfair.htm The best use for this land could still be as an amusement park, but it might be a better fit in the Premier Parks/EPR Properties or Palace Entertainment/Parques Reunidos portfolios. Selling this park would allow Cedar Fair to pay down more debt and would put the company in a better position to acquire another property that they could grow or add resort accommodations to.

  17. No, it isn't. If you read the SEC filing, Cedar Fair only sold the land and still has ownership of everything else on the property.
  18. It will probably be gone in 2-6 years. https://d18rn0p25nwr6d.cloudfront.net/CIK-0000811532/78a5bf4c-e155-489d-b56b-5161d8809409.pdf "On June 27, 2022, and as a condition to the sale of the Park, the Company entered into a lease with Prologis pursuant to which Cedar Fair, L.P., through its subsidiaries will continue to operate the Park. The lease has a six-year term, and the Company has the option to extend the term for an additional five years. The lease is subject to a right in favor of Prologis to terminate the lease early by providing at least two years’ prior notice. The annual base rent under the lease is $12,247,500 and will increase by 2.5% each year" "(b) The Property does not include any property not listed in Section 1(a) and each of the following is explicitly excluded from the transactions contemplated by this Contract: (i) All inventory, furniture, machinery, equipment, tools, maintenance parts, computers, point-of-sale equipment, telephones, and all other tangible items of personal property; (ii) All contracts relating to Seller’s operation of the Park; (iii) Any and all governmental or quasi-governmental permits, licenses and approvals relating to the operation of the Park, including, but not limited to, environmental permits and occupational and liquor licenses; (iv) All of Seller’s, its affiliates’ or any third party’s trademarks and trademark rights, trade names and trade name rights, service marks and service mark rights, service names and service name rights, brand names, trade dress, business and product names, logos, maps, including Park maps, and slogans used or held for use in connection with the Park; (v) Rides, water slides, rollercoasters, improvements, inherently permanent structures, buildings, and underground storage tanks located on or about the Land; or (vi) Fixtures and all plumbing, gas, electrical, ventilating, lighting and other utilities and utility systems, ducts, hot water heaters, air conditioning systems and all other building systems, in each case attached to or comprising a part of any building located on or about the Land."
  19. There is more detail in the SEC filing. https://d18rn0p25nwr6d.cloudfront.net/CIK-0000811532/78a5bf4c-e155-489d-b56b-5161d8809409.pdf
