  1. Never thought I would see the day when midget's would be fighting in a Festhouse. Just re-name it a sports bar!
  2. Yes I rode it this past Sunday the 24th, it was spinning. And I timed from when you stop at the top till you drop, it was five seconds.
  3. I did ride Firehawk to give it a second chance, it was a one cycle wait. After riding it I'm not a big fan of it.
  4. Hay just a heads up, right now on NatGeo the episode titled the Worlds Longest Water Coaster is on right now! It re-airs at 11pm. Have my DVR set for it
  5. Is that "safe" supposed to be "save" -or- is it supposed to "be safe"? My mistake, meant to say save.
  6. I was at the park yesterday, every thing was really a walk on.
  7. Hay here's a clip I upload to youtube, it aired back in 2001 or 2002. It shows Drop Zone and Son of Beast, it aired on the Travel Channel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCyeilLq_fw
  8. I was at Cedar Point this past weekend, even know the park was packed the brim on Saturday and Sunday I did not see any line cutting. Or anything I see at Kings Island, I remember hearing all the WinterFest stuff had been thrown away a few years. I don't see how anybody could say the 2005 version was great, they did not have much to offer. And yes the parks love to jam the park full of people and try to reach a record for number of people in the line. At Cedar Point it was like most food areas had a limited staff to getting our order too forever. it took 20 mins to get two orders of fries.
  9. Welcome to KIC! Doesn't it always do this in the fall though? Yes same here, I'm 6'1" and the harness comes down on my shoulders so I can not sit up right. It's like all the B&M coasters that have a OHSR I have plenty of room for my shoulders, and the same with both S&S rides, Powers Tower and Liberty Launch.
  10. There's days late in the later I remember Drop Tower not spinning, it's anyone's guess of why it doesn't.
  11. I think the numbers for Firehawk were based on a three train op? but KI only runs two trains.
  12. So how tall is the rider level height? I know the tower is 301', but the swings do not go that high.
  13. Congrats!!! I remember my first ride on Vortex back in 1998, and Racer, I thought that was amazing. And when I was younger I was scared of Adventure Express and Beastie lol Didn't like the first drop on ether one of them, put I got over it and my fear of heights. Now I ride anything from rides like AE all the way up to Top Thrill Dragster!
  14. Firehawk was not made for good capacity.
  15. I'm 6'1", don't have much trouble with getting my feet under the orange padded thing. I just don't like having to step into the seat, that is about a foot below the platform station. That is what I going to say, Diamondback having a rattle, can feel it though my seat and the lap bar. Can only ride that two times before getting a headache.
  16. I am talking about Wicked Twister along with Top Thrill Dragster, haven't been on Kingda Ka. The OSHR would leave marks on my neck going throw the 270 degree spiral. Diamondback also give me a headache, you can't feel it in the front car but the rest of the cars you can. All three wheels are touching the track so can't figure out why are there little bumps?
  17. I rode FOF in 2000, with the OSHR and yeah it was a head beater. I don't ride FOF from it being rough, only smooth part was the launch everything after that was rough. I think BLST is the smoothest coaster there, along with Invertigo. Think I'll stick to the Intamin launch coasters.
  18. No lines is great but some time's I feel spoiled. I could ride Drop Tower and Delirium, and Racer red all day. Nice trip report.
  19. I wish I could have gone to CP on my birthday the 5 of July, but that didn't happen. I remember hearing the last week of Aug was the best time to go, but not so any more the word has gotten out and now it's just as packed as any other week during Aug, plus the park is under staffed. Hope you have fun up there.
  20. That's what happened in the new stadium for the Colts here in Indy, they reduced the number of drinking fountains by a large number, and put them at bad locations (bathrooms far from seats) This way guests buy a drink instead of seeing a drinking fountain and getting a drink from their instead. Never been to Lucas Oil Stadium, if that's true that is terrible! Guess they got to pay off that stadium some how.
  21. Cedar Fair never gives anything away, pretty soon there will be no drinking fountains you'll have to pay three dollars for bottle water.
  22. Your right, there was a blue and red train on the Voyage. lol
  23. Here's a picture of Liberty Launch from the road, oh and the say I was there the Raven had only one train, the second train was not on the storage tracks.
  24. Does that mean that at McDonald's you get free fries with your combo meal? It's included in the price of the combo meal, it isn't free... and Boomerang Bay is included with KI admission last time I checked... I really do need to go to HW some day. Hehe yeah all that free stuff is great, I don't know if KI Boomerang Bay charges for inter-tube's? The thing I don't get about these big park's is they are sponsored by ether Pepsi or Coke, which means they get a large discount of get it for free, I would say large discount, yet they still charge 3 to 4 dollars for there pop. I know that HW is much smaller than the giant parks, they don't charge for parking(there's is gravel), while KI does and it is not in good shape, don't they charge around ten dollars a car now? I even think Cedar Points lot is in better shape.
