  1. I think we all understood what the original poster meant, not about the actual length but the time. I think Orion will be a great ride when I get the chance to ride. But some of the reviews coming in with their minor notes on it's length I've seen are something I'm not ignoring. Still, it does look like a fun ride regardless.
  2. Didn't we already have a ride with a Jeep at the entrance? #TRTR
  3. Sure was! Just like the return of the water feature that year at the turn-around cave. As for what music it was Joshua... I don't recall the entire playlist but it was a collection of music about 30-40 minutes long.
  4. In 2008 there was station music. It was a mixture of adventure / western style music. Most notably...
  5. Wow, I gotta say the 2000s maps were the best. Definitely felt a "Yuck" as soon as it transitioned from 2010 to 2011. Great video!
  6. Orion: Time to rethink that whole TEOTWAWKI idea... #toosoon
  7. Hey bud your link does not go though.
  8. Tomb Raider: The Ride was a dark ride that catered to the teens/adults and was immensely popular during the TRTR years, reaching upwards of an hour plus wait at park closing time. I do think the park is missing a great family dark ride / high thrill dark ride in its lineup especially since we have lost TRTR and Action Theatre.
  9. I'm still sitting on the full indoor / outdoor queue music from TRTR and its SFX and some other rare titles. I did upload the outdoor queue music to YouTube long ago but ever since YouTube went so far succumbing to copyright claims it was taken down. I will link below my Channel which has the Indoor cave/AntiChamber music. But if anyone is wondering the outdoor/indoor soundtrack is a mix if the music from the motion picture BARAKA, Jumanji (90s) and the official score from the first Paramount Tomb Raider movie soundtrack. Links: Tomb Raider Official Score: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYrqCMVZ8Iw Baraka Official Soundtrack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbsE-gEI1iA&list=OLAK5uy_nzCYCHbvwPu3Cqz8xoczr-PRbX8_zHBqY Jumanji Score (first few seconds of outdoor music): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nwH5osqciE&list=PLH9C08qrQ7S4BjvE977oZOoX52EumrXEF TRTR Indoor Music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TrbbtXwzOs And the full TRTR Collection playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHe-L-8ZZ9rCTcW9aRcpgHFJHbll_d2-C *Additionally a POV is on that collection playlist as well. Its dark most of the time but those that rode it will tell you the dark parts were some of the best!
  10. These are the raw files most likely. How does one get raw files? There's really only one way, at some point someone needs to take them. These have been handed down and shared for quite a while, I myself remember 15 years ago being shown the raw PT and TRTR sound bits.
  11. Yeah, looking a Orion there was absolutely no need to cut down as many trees as they did. No wonder that Mystic Timbers tree is upset!
  12. I miss the charm of Rivertown before Diamondback was built. Whereas now it feels more industrial and modern (the exact opposite of Rivertowns humble beginnings). If this Coaster would have kept that charm I would have gladly preferred this over Diamondback.
  13. So happy to see the return of the gallery and can only imagine the work to bring ALL those photos to the new one. Especially now linked to the main menu. Is it possible to group galleries of the same nature to an album like the old one? Right now it is very scattered. I'd also like to see view counts and the return of comments. As for the other notes I had Topgun1993, TombraiderTy and KIghostguy touched upon great notes
  14. Attached are photos or the TOGO from a walk down the Las Vegas BLVD. Definitely was a was an eerie experience.
  15. Has there been any update on the lift hill lighting package?
  16. Indeed, but an unfinished queue won't affect the mechanics of the roller coaster. It's "pretty much" finished. Just some paperwork at this point.
  17. In what respect? The ride is pretty much finished and tested and just waiting for riders now.
  18. I worked DB opening year. The box was not there in the first few weeks the roller coaster was open. The majority of the phones in the box came from uncollected phones lost on other attractions which is why you won't see any new phones in the box as they came from phones in the 08-09 year. Regardless, People get the message of what can happen to their phone without having to gentrify the box.
  19. I've never had a top 10 due to the sheer enormous amount I've been on and it is always changing but have had a top 3. My top 3 have never changed as fast as my 10 or 20. They have been consistent since riding these. 1) Eejanaika - Fuji Q highland I've never laughed and screamed so much throughout one coaster experience in my entire life (except one other which is my #2). These 4D coasters are pure madness from start to finish because they do and continue to be an experience no other coaster can replicate. It's one of the few that just leave you laughing at the end of it all because you just have no idea what the heck just happened. Eejanaika fixes all the issues X2 had and so much more into what is honestly the best rollercoaster in the whole world! Speaking of X2... 2) X2 - Six Flags Magic Mountain For the same reasons I love Eejanaika the same I love X2. It left me in an absolute trance of adrenaline. While it stands in the shadow of it's better version in Japan it still to this day is my favorite coaster in the USA. For those of you that watch Coaster Studios I recommend watching his reviews and videos about these two rollercoasters because they in-depth go into many of the same ideas and discussions of why I love these coasters. 3) Lightning Rod For the longest time I couldn't decide if I liked Lighting Rod or Steel Vengeance better. The way I found out was by going back to what I said at the completion of each ride experience. At the end of LR I felt it was the perfect length and duration for how powerful and intense a ride it was. At the end of SV I remember thinking how if the ride had ended at the mid course break I would have still been happy. Ultimately SV is a lot of intensity to take in for that long of a ride. Whereas Lighting Rod felt perfect, just the right amount of speed, length, time, and intensity for what it was leaving me time at the end of the ride to fully comprehend the experience. Unfortunately SV doesn't have the same effect at the end of it all. Honorable mentions: Montu, Dododonpa, Ghost Rider, Top Thrill Dragster, The Voyage, Son of Beast
  20. Hmm, personally I would have enjoyed anything that isn't a B&M. Not that I don't enjoy their rides I just find with 2 already in the park some change would be nice for variety. Mack, Vekoma, RMC, or even Intamin would be a nice change.
  21. As per law, nothing was broken in the video as of the sites I checked on local laws. Now the park may have set up rules against drones which is clearly on its website, it would have to be discussed exactly what warrants "inside the park".
  22. YAY!!!! I sure hope they have the right sound system for this! There are times I barely hear Mystics.
  23. A quote from the article I can't agree with more! If KD wants to stay in the game and not be left in the trails of BG which most people already find the more supreme park in the area they need to strategize a game plan for the next decade. "many folks feel that Kings Dominion needs to replace Volcano with a major coaster if they hope to compete with the incredible investments Busch Gardens Williamsburg is currently pursuing."
