I checked out the area where the line will begin. No "campers", but I imagine there'll be people standing there hours early. -

"Reptile Cage" anyone? Splinter Cat has the same verbal "cadence." Almost. -

For a second there, I thought it was Battle Cat from "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe!" -

So, Yo Adrian, the Blue Engine is Key, Roll Out the Barrel, you'll need this ax, Bears on Beds on a football field, and they'll definitely come, all points to "Splintercat." Wow. Who knew? -

Does Living Close To KI Take The Magical Out Of It?
Thrill_Biscuit replied to presto123's topic in Kings Island
I live virtually across the Interstate from Kings Island. No, it does not take away the magical for me. I go to the park as many times a year as I can and the experience NEVER gets old! The joy of entering the park, seeing the Royal Fountains through the entry way, the smell of grease and noisy chain dogs of Vortex, the scent of sunscreen and perfume, mixed with french fries and funnel cakes; never loses its magic! What makes it perpetual, is that statistically, every single day, at least 400 people are experiencing the park for the very first time ever, and you get to watch with pride as they react with wonder and excitement to your hometown park! I only wish the music was different... -

Surprise! It's a Gerstauler! No but seriously, I've fallen in love with that area of the park, since all my life (literally), I've always looked beyond the woods in that direction, for the magic place beyond the trees; and now they're building it! It's like I've kinda psychically known there'd one day be this new, huge attraction built back there. Whether it breaks records or not, I'll enjoy whatever it is with open arms! -

^^,^^^ Thanks! I was inspired by Zamperla Hawk 48 at Kennywood... one would look right at home in Rivertown... given a certain, aesthetic touch, of course. -

Maybe the double-axe flat would go well with a nice, new wooden coaster! Sorry for the re-hash, but I'd love to see this concept employed: -

I'm part Lenape, but "Big Rump Bear" (Yakwawiyak) wouldn't play well as a coaster name. Sleepy Hollow? Only if they bring back Spongebob! lol -

Bears, Stars... "Ursa?" Hmmm... when Dinosaurs Alive was teased, there was a layout, and speculation of a coaster. I wonder if this is a new campground... hmmm; no footers yet, just retaining walls and what look like roadways. Hmmm... well I'm (say it with me.... STUMPED.) —• • —• -• —• • —• - • -

Okay, my final guesses, and I look forward to seeing you on Thursday! Manufacturer: Rocky Mountain Construction Layout: Hybrid Steel & Wooden Twister with Barrel Roll Element Anything Special About It: Will be the "nth" attraction built at Kings Island (like, maybe the 75th?) Any Records: can't imagine any, given the data available. Guess: Fastest of its kind. Name: Thunder Bear (random, but reasonable) Theme: Related to River Town, possibly legends relative to bears encountered by loggers of the Pacific Northwest. Bring on the week!

Someone is using two profiles. Anyway, back on track (so to speak). Weather.gov is reporting Thunderstorms for Thursday night. Link: http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?x=147&y=152&site=iln&zmx=&zmy=&map_x=147&map_y=152#.V5WkOdIrLIU Maybe they'll have an indoor option. Will still attend, come rain or shine! -
