Maybe if the price is better, I'll go next time. I mean, for no rides (The point of an amusement park [Yes, Kings Island is an amusement park I think] is to be amused) its a pretty bad deal. And the meal is so expensive. I'de rather have a little bite to eat then a huge meal. I'de just go to the BK lounge and get me a chicken sangwidch.

Stratosphere La$ Vega$
harvesterofyoursorrow replied to loganrun's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
loganrun, Notice how those graphics are from Arrow? Its kind unlikely that the coaster is even being though of now. I dont think S&S would do it. And Combat, if you fall, you roll down the side onto the next level. http://www.americansouthwest.net/nevada/ph...tratosphere.jpg See? Its even fenced. So unless you bounce reeaaal nice, you wont fall. -
King's Island, not able to get a B&M?
harvesterofyoursorrow replied to thejoker8388's topic in Kings Island
Upon thinking, Vortex wont be replaced with a B&M. They will build the B&M somewhere else, then keep both the coasters running, and when Vortex becomes less popular, they let it run down, and dismantle it and install somthing there in a year or 2. -
You would fall out I know the restraints are hurtful to some shorter people. I am 6' tall so I dont have any problems.

Good: A new coaster Bad: No Son of Beast tunnels.

I'll be a second timer. I'm literaly writing it on the calendar this time. One of the best things you can do at Kings Island, honestly. The food pays for itself (if you have a gold pass) I had so much food that if I would of bought it, it would of over 40 dollars. Very VERY good times.

Sounds shaaweet. (Sweet) I'm in. -
I'm not sure if you guys know or not, but the first prototypes of the suspeneded ride were to have corkscrews. Vekoma still makes a suspended coaster, no need to resurect arrow.

I'm still working on a time to go, I have tech crew practice for a play I'm doing alot here soon so I dont know if I'll get a chance.

King's Island, not able to get a B&M?
harvesterofyoursorrow replied to thejoker8388's topic in Kings Island
When you look at the stats, the last B&M purchased by Paramount was in '99. Cedar Fair has been buying B&M's lately. Dorney got Talon in '01 and now Hydra in '05. Knott's got Silver Bullet in '04, and now Worlds Of Fun is getting Patriot in '06. Needless to say, Six Flags buys a B&M about every year. Its just a matter of time and space till Kings Island gets a B&M. Sadly to say, with Vortex leaving the park in five or so years, they are going to replace it with another big steel ride. Who knows, the park may even expland somewhere and put another steel there. I dont think B&M would tell their fabricator that they have agreements like that, its more company buisiness then anything. -
What they need over all of that, IS TO ENFORCE THE SMOKING RULES! Last time I was there, I swear there were 20+ smokers walking around and inlines smoking.

Help put THE BEAST to sleep for the season
harvesterofyoursorrow replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I was there last year Nov 7th (last day) I was the 3rd to last train for the regular public. I know there was a group riding after, but the park was already closed and they were just getting in the que when I walked out. -
BeastBuzz was the best. I think my team got like...last... on the scavenger hunt. Telling people that you have been behind The Beast and inside Flight of Fear makes them go:

I'm looking threw all my old papers and I find this entry form for a sweepstakes to take over a Six Flags park for a day. I forgot to enter and the deadline was is August. Oh well. But as I looked closer I noticed somthing...Look at these pics: Hmm...That looks like Vortex's corkscrews... And that looks like the helix... Hm... And look at that guys head! The train must be in a loop! Also look at the train color! I dont know if its just me, but this is Vortex in a SIX FLAGS advertisement!
