  1. Apparently, a few of the supervisors have said that Headless Hollow may be the actual train ride itself. The idea is that a group of guests board the train and take off. Later on down the road, the train "breaks down" in the middle of the forest. A guide then takes the group into the forest to try to find their way back, when, all of a sudden, the Headless Horseman attacks. I'm not sure exactly where the train will "break down", but my guess is that it'll drop guests around the fort area near the water park entrance.
  2. I believe that Curse of Sleepy Hollow is the Rivertown area. Curse is supposed to be the second scare zone with the Headless Horseman running around the place. Headless Hollow, apparently, runs along part of the train path route, I don't exactly know where on the train route. Originally, their first idea was to have the train ride itself become a Haunt, but they decided to keep the train for the families with the Pumpkin Express. And I think cornSTALKERS is either part of Headless Hollow or connects HH to the main Rivertown path. Yeah, they usually don't post information on the scare zones at all. Coney Mall just gets re-themed to Coney Maul for FearFest every year; it happens like clockwork. All of the old props from Curse of the Crypt are actually sitting by the Picnic Grove; they are housed in the white tent where they stored the parade floats from Nick Celebration Parade. So I believe those will aid towards re-theming Rivertown into Curse of Sleepy Hollow. Also, several thickets of corn stalks are lying beside the tent, so cornSTALKERS is definitely coming. Oh, one last thing, but this is only a rumor. Even though Curse of the Crypt is gone this year, there is a slight chance that it could be coming back next year with a larger addition. The reason? PCW's FearFest has a maze entitled Legend of the Lost: The Director's Cut, which sounds a lot like COTC. So if LOTL does well at Canada's Wonderland, then COTC could come back as Legend of the Lost. Maybe, maybe not...
  3. If you can remember the Kings Island e-newsletter, it mentioned the Curse of Sleepy Hollow attraction, which is the second scare zone. Headless Hollow is, I believe, near the train station, with cornSTALKERS probably connecting HH to the main path. Curse of the Crypt is not coming back this year, but a vast majority of its props will be used for additions to the other mazes/scare zones. All that's left to figure out is what they'll do with the actual facade of COTC (behind Maze of Madness exit). I believe the only reason why they decided not to bring it back was too many people complaining about how dark it was inside the maze. Kind of stupid considering House of Darkness last year had an entire room devoted to...darkness. The FearFest sites never mention the actual scare zones (the only exception being PCW's FearFest); they never have and probably never will. My guess is that the Sleepy Hollow zone is in Rivertown, with Coney Maul being...Coney Mall. You still have to admit the Friday the 13th movies have tons of hot chicks screaming their heads off. The show isn't all that great (I had to sit through rehearsals of it last year during dress rehearsals for COTC), but it's fun to see audience members get the crap scared out of them when Jason starts walking by. One last thing, both this year and next year are the two years in which FearFest will really start to expand. This year brings The Curse of Sleepy Hollow scare zone; next year will probably bring yet another scare zone (hopefully not MTV's Rock'n'Scare), therefore transforming Kings Island into a true Haunted Theme Park.
  4. Funhouse Express has actually been around for a long time, since 1995, at least. This is just the first time that Paramount Parks has used the movie ride. Umm, no, Elvira was not horrible. Dracula's Haunted Castle was horrible. That's really the only reason why Elvira is back; Dracula bombed so bad it wasn't even funny. I believe only Superstition is in 3D, though. Only a name change? We are getting a second scare zone, two completely re-vamped mazes, an all-new maze (not to mention cornSTALKERS), two simulator rides, and a Friday the 13th show involving hot chicks that scream their heads off. There is certainly more to do this year than there was last year.
  5. So exactly where is cornSTALKERS going to be at? Or is that a closely guarded secret?
  6. Yeah, sorry about the 4 hours thing. I should have put down 5+ hours instead of 4. Thanks for correcting me, Picard. What's he mean by "different people?" I'm confused!
  7. From the test site, Fear Street is the House of Darkness, and Fun House Express is in the Action FX Theater. I also believe that Headless Hollow will be in the Paramount Story area, but I'm just guessing. That sounds awesome that R.L. Stine is getting in on FearFest; Goosebumps was an amazing book series. This looks to be the best FearFest we've seen yet!
  8. Well the SpongeBob 3D ride genereated a lot of positive feedback among guests after 2003, so another SpongeBob ride would probably be built considering SpongeBob 3D might not be coming back next year. Yeah, I heard that a new simulator movie is coming to FX Theater next year, so, if anything, Crash Course Boating School could probably be built in SpongeBob 3D's place. It wouldn't make much sense to not have a SpongeBob ride next year because it is the #1 show on Nickelodeon.
  9. 1) Because as RailRider said, people are not going to pay 35 bucks a ticket if they don't know what they'll be experiencing at FearFest (even though a vast majority of park guests don't even know there's a FearFest site.) 2) All FearFest sites are the same, they just have different park names at the top of the site. You would know if you saw the sites last year; they are the exact same site design. Also, PCW's FearFest site is already up; chances aree everyone else's will look exactly the same. This is just sad. Having to wait three days after an expected release just for some "finishing touches" is completely sad. We really only have two weeks left before FearFest opens, and we have yet to see the actual site or a FearFest commercial on TV (at least I haven't seen one yet). I wouldn't be surprised to see people complaining if they don't get the site up by Sunday. Oh yeah, one more thing: PKD's FearFest site still has the old "coming September 7th" sign on their page, and Carowind's Scarowinds site isn't up yet, either. And I don't think Winterfest is a good excuse for why we can't know about FearFest for PKI or PC.
  10. There's no point in having two cloned rides that are relatively close together. I'd much rather make a special trip to PKD if Sunt Coaster was different from Stunt Track than drive all the way to PKD and ride the same ride AGAIN just with a different name and different track colors. That's why I would want to drive 4 hours to PKD just to ride TR: Firefall, because it's a different experience than TR:TR at PKI! And why exactly did PCW get IJ:ST in the first place? Rather, they should have given it to PGA to make up for the loss of Stealth (PC's Borg Assimilator). PCW already built Tomb Raider the year before (even though that's a worthless piece of crap), so they don't need IJ.
  11. Yeah, they'll probably put it up in another week or so "when they're fully ready", knowing PKI. So, really, why is it that Canada's Wonderland FearFest website has been up for the past two weeks, yet PKI's didn't even make the deadline of the 7th? Is it seriously "that good" to keep us waiting that long, or are they just cramming stuff together at the last minute 'cause they forgot (just a thought)? If the site isn't up by midnight, I can just check it in the morning. If it's not up in the morning, then we can all get mad at PKI.
  12. Hopefully it'll be that good and they'll update it before 11:00. I don't think I can wait another 24 hours just for them to put some "finishing touches" on their website.
  13. I believe the elephant is part of the old Banana Splits show they used to have where guys were in those big costumes and pretended to play instruments. It's on Boomerang on Time Warner Digital, that's how I know. There was a lion, dog, bear, and elephant.
  14. Unfortunately, still no changes on the site. Maybe the site will pop up sometime this evening, and it'll probably look similar to PCW's FearFest site.
  15. I just checked on the FearFest site again, and it still says they are doing "finishing touches." I hope to God that they update the main FearFest site today, and not make us wait another day. If Canada's Wonderland's FearFest site is up and running already, why isn't ours?
  16. Not to mention you can get in free for FearFest/Nick or Treat for this year (although you can already do that with regular tickets/season pass), discounts on Winterfest tickets this year, and other stuff I'm probably leaving out.
  17. Sweet, we get cornSTALKERS!! I went to HHN (Halloween Horror Nights) down in Orlando and they had cornfield-themed maze called "Field of Screams". But it wasn't all that good. The actual talent sucked, and there were NO scarecrow monster actors! WTF?! Speaking of which (I'm sorry to post this when we're talking about Kings Island's FearFest), you ought to see what Universal's done with this year's HHN; it is truly a freaky concept: Halloween Horror Nights '05 ^When you get the chance after the little film, click on the book on the upper-right corner on the main site, then click on the book on the table in the living room cene. When you get there, click on the weird symbol on the map in the lower-left corner of the screen to hear the backstory behind HHN 15; it is truly scary!
  18. Let's hope the Circus gets some of the "improvements" that hauntguy is referring to; I've got a thing for liking evil cannabalistic clowns. So do we get cornSTALKERS at all? And where is the Sleepy Hollow scare zone? Is it in Rivertown?? I must know!!!
  19. They just now changed the date for the site to tomorrow!! You can see what I mean by clicking here: www.pki.com/fearfest Why, PKI, why?! Why must you torture us by forcing us to wait?!?!
  20. Almost three hours later, and still no update. Neither Kings Island or Kings Dominon's FearFest pages are up, I already checked. Hopefully, the site will be good if they're making us wait this long...
  21. South Pie, I believe, is the area where all the baby rides are, including Ghoster Coaster. Hopefully, some sort of announcement will arrive shortly. Don't know when, but hopefully sometime this week.
  22. I'm guessing it would be a Vekoma wild mouse. It could turn out to be what Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin is, although I'm not sure if the boatmobiles that will allow drivers to spin and face in any direction they want. It seems as if the popular vote is for Crash Course Boating School, and it looks like PKI will agree with PKIC. Now all that's left to figure out is what that second ride will be. I'm gonna take a crack and say that the CarWash will open for buisness in '06, due to the fact that the water maze/Nick Theatre will probably be torn down anyway. The CarWash will make up for the lost kiddie water attraction.
  23. ^ Yeah, I just now saw that. No, I don't have MSN. But I still love scaring the utter crap out of teenage girls! EDIT: Oh crap, did I just say that out loud? Anyway, it would be great to have Paramount Story for a maze. Especially when an evil army of scarecrows/pumpkin monster-thingys are on the loose. I hope PKI doesn't pass this opportunity up to have a really great FearFest this year. So all that's left is to figure out where in the heck the Western Woods will go...
  24. What about cornSTALKERS and the Western Woods? Where will they be at? Or are they actually going to be part of FearFest this year? Oh, yeah one more thing... 100th Post! Sorry, I just had to say that.
  25. So is the House of Darkness re-named to Massacre Manor, or is that white tent maze Massacre Manor?
