  1. Beast is good, but there are other (dare I say better?) wood coasters out there. I myself have ridden 2 woodies that I like better (Legend and Ghost Rider). Do we need a whole topic on what makes The Beast a great ride? Yes. Do we need multiple topics on it? Nope.
  2. Well it did show my picture, but now it's gone *poof*.
  3. We all know about the announcement on the 12th. Here's the big question, what will you do if the new ride is NOT a coaster?
  4. So what you're saying is I can't have fun at my workplace? I'm good friends with many people that work there, and I like having fun with my friends. I wasn't even going to do the KC joke with Delirium's greeter, until Ariel suggested it. It's her own crew, so she wanted to play a little joke on them, but since she knew everyone there, I went up and did it.

Well I was off on friday, and I was originally going to go to the Xtended Play just to see what it was like, but then it got cancelled. Quick, make new plans! I did, and Bobby (FoF on PKIU), Ariel (Delirium Dreamer), Ricky (The Rickster), and I all went to Laser Web to play some after their open shift. We drive over during the rush hour traffic, and many minutes later, we arrive. The place is dead. Only 10 people play the first game, and we get killed. I get 5th place. Second game, only 7 people, so we all play by ourselves, no teams. Every man for themself. I rock in this game, coming in 1st. Not only that, but I still won even though my vest shut down 30 seconds early! The final game, a large birthday party comes in. Score! Little kids to snipe! We enter the first room where they choose teams, and the birthday party wants their own team, so it's a bunch of 10 year olds vs a bunch of teens and post-teens. This should be fun. We are killing them left and right, when suddenly an employee pulls out a vest of his own and starts playing on the other team! Not only that, but he has invincibility on so we can't shoot him! This cheap trick sends all of my team to the other end of the arena. I came in 4th, but our team still won by almost 2,000 points. After our last game, we get hungry and decide to get a bite at the nearby Wendy's. We think we see PKI Delirium from PKIC, and decide to have a bit of fun with him. It's too long of a story, but it involves him filming on Beast then posting about it, and a HUSS Topple Tower. We figure that we don't wanna go home yet, so we drive to PKI for some rides. After convincing my parents to let me go, we hop onto Delirium. Figures that we force Ariel to ride her own ride. When we walk up to the greeter and have a little discussion with him that went something like this... "Do you know where King Cobra is?" "It's not here." "What do you mean it's not here?" "It's not here anymore." "I don't get what you're saying." "I'm saying they don't have it here anymore." "They took it out???" I then play angry guest and storm off, as Ricky and Ariel (Bobby had to leave us) start cracking up. The greeter gets the joke when he sees Ariel laughing. I apologize to the greeter for giving him a hard time, and we enjoy our ride. I love playing confused guest. ("Where's Legend?") I gotta keep these fellow employees on their toes! Speaking of keeping employees on their toes, we decide to ride Express next, and I do my tradition at that ride and ask what company made the ride (It says Arrow on the front of each car). Once again, he didn't know that Arrow made it. At least he didn't say what one Express operator said one day, "Some German company." After that, we hop over to Oscars for a bathroom break, and then ride Scooby Doo. MY GUN DIDN'T WORK! I got a 150 because of that gun. At least we start off well with a very funny ORP, which I will post if someone can host it for me. As my time at the park was coming to an end, I went over to Eagles for 2 quick rides. During one cycle, I pulled a 180. I love doing that... And that about wraps my TR up! Thanks for reading, and we look forward to entertaining you again soon.
  6. I thought it doesn't spin, which means it isn't a gyro. Can anyone confirm this? Does it spin?
  7. HAHA! I never knew you posted here! Why didnt you tell me earlier? lol
  8. PKD's Drop Zone isn't even a gyro drop. Wow, ScreamScape really does have "one of the most accurate surveys on the internet!" EDIT: Also, King Cobra is now known as King Combra. Wow, they really don't know amusement parks!
  9. Yeah, it's Doc John. According to him, the park is alot better this year than last year, which I believe. Welcome to PKIU!
  10. You gotta put me in a wahambulance in it. I would come in when you die and drive you away in it!
  11. Were you riding with Brandon, James, and Todd?

I wasn't originaly going to visit the park today, but since it was barely raining and it kept people away from the park, the short lines were too good to pass up. I take the trip out to my car to drop off my work shirt and pick up my cell phone, and on my way back I run into Jeff (FamousLastWords). Well, he goes out to his car, and we go back into the park. We heat to AZ and see Tony (Return of Yogi) in his Nick Parade garb. We convinces us to go watch him work in the parade. We had some time, so we hopped on to SoB. Average ride, nothing special. We then go to scope out a spot where the parade starts, right by Zephyr. We still have time, so we get a quick spin on Zephyr. As I rode, I see some parade people come out and get ready (you can see over the fence). I see a girl get into this giant blue costume which I later find out from Jeff (the TV and Movie guru) to be Oswald the Octopus. After the ride, we stand under the games roof next to the Lucky Ducky. We then hear the Spongebob intro to the parade. The doors open up, and there are a bunch of people with whistles. The floats go by, and no sign of Tony. Sure enough, he has the very last float. A little thing that shoots off what looks like soap suds. The turn the corner and we follow Tony. Just around the corner, the floats stop and the interaction begins. Tony and his partner in crime grab some people from the crowd, and even makes one guy pie himself in the face. We decide to stalk him, and see him again at the Eiffel Tower. We head over, and see a massive crowd. We find an empty spot, and see the parade 1 more time. This time, we are on the other side of the route, so we see that Octopus again. All she does is rock back and forth with the music. That job has to get tiring after awhile after a half hour! After seeing the parade twice, we headed over to Spongebob to check out the A-Bomb explode in the background. I had never seen that before, but it is really random and seems to have been thrown in there as an inside joke possibly. Then a ride on Vortex in seat 7-1. Nothing that special. After a ride on Scooters (with very good snaping), we see PKIDiana and DragonLord. After another ride with them, Jeff must leave for home. Me and the other 2 get 1 more ride, and I try to teach them to snap. They do get a few snaps. I leave them to their own things and head over to TRTR to get a ride before I leave. The line is at the tomb entrance, so it's a very short wait. Now to the part that contributes my subtitle. I go to Beast for my final ride of the night, and as I'm walking by greeter, I slip and fall. I have seen many people slip here while I work greeter, so I knew better, but 1 thing was different. The shoes I was wearing were brand new, this was their first day. I guess they hadn't gotten worked in yet, and were became very slick with the water. I get up by myself, and as I continue down the path, I realize my arm is bleeding. No biggie, I get to the station (no line whatsoever) and ask my supervisor for a gauze pad. I pad it down, and stop the bleeding. I wait for front seat (since I had to wait anyway for the bleeding to stop), and see DragonLord and PKIDiana come up the line. At this time, I look at my clothes and they are filthy from the dirt on the path. Oh well, this was gonna be my last ride anyway. I ride in the front row with the slick track, and ave a great ride, then leave the park. Final Thoughts: It's a great idea to visit the park when there is just a bit of rain all day, just be careful about what shoes you bring!
  13. There is a new forum online, which has a section devoted to rollercoasters and a subcategory devoted to Paramount Parks. XTCS.com Hope you all enjoy!

    Chippery

It tasted just like Lay's potatoe chips. I thought they were overpriced for being Lay's. It could just be the flavor, but I don't wanna spend so much on chips again.
  15. Who is this GHI anyway? Let's see their website and see what they are up to. Anyone have a link?
  16. 1. Holiday World 2. Islands of Adventure 3. Knott's Berry Farm 4. Paramount's Kings Island 5. Cedar Point
  17. Wednesday. There aren't any gold pass things, so very few gold people.
  18. Wow, that really makes no sense. I just don't see the reasoning behind that move.
  19. It's nostalgic for me though. Being born in 1987, I was just 3 when the 90's started, and even though I haven't seen any of them after 1994, I really like the series so far.
  20. I was able to see a bit of it from handcars in HB today at the very end. My line died when that came by because everyone went to see the parade. It looked great, and it looks like everyone really enjoyed it!
  21. I've been watching it at home, I love the series. Very funny because this is the first decade series VH1 put on that I actually remember the things, mainly because I was too young in the late 80's to remember that.
  22. The search button is your friend! Use it well!
  23. Look at my post above, this is one of those exceptions I mentioned. That ride must always have a great crew. I even use something I got from that ride at Beast now. At the end of my ride stats spiel, I go, "The Beast will also take you upside down not once, not twice, not four times, not even seven times, but an amazing zero times!" I first heard this at Cedar Creek Mine Ride. It was too good to pass up.
  24. Funny, cause when I went there in 2000 the ride crews seemed to hate their job (with a few exceptions). Of course, alot can change in 4 years. PKI is getting better though, I mean alot better.
