Ive seen snakes over in WWC while waiting in line, and when I worked on The Racer there were snakes that I used to see slither through the grass in the morning, but we had an understanding---the left me alone, I let them live!

This happened a few years back--it was when the Screamin' Demon was at Kings Island and it was like it was the last few days---HOT AS HECK and I had just had a taco ( you can see where this is going...) and I wasnt feeling too good after the train was on the other side getting ready to go backwards when --yep you guessed it---it ALL came up and it landed in this old womans hair! Now you know where we got the expression Mr & Mrs Taco Grease!

Last time I remember getting "stuck" was WAY back in 1978 when we got stuck on the old Keel Boat ride hill for about 15 minutes. Got to see The Beast being constructed. But other than that, Ive been pretty lucky about not getting stuck on any major rides (knocking on wood)

I finally got to get to Kings Island on Wednesday July 6. Got a friend of mine from North Carolina to actually ride THE coaster (The Beast) and got initiated on IJST--Front seat! It was actually a good coaster But what was up with all the people?? But to all who was working there yesterday, thank you for the experience, it was worth all the waiting!

It would have to be either the old Scooby Doo coaster ( I was too little for the BIG BAD RACER) or the Enchanted Voyage. I still catch myself singing that song that was in there.....ah the memories.... Adventure Express FOREVER!!

I heard it was supposed to be called "The Swoop", but that was late 1992 when I worked there before Paramount bought Kings Island. Although we did know we were getting a suspended coaster, we didn't know what it was supposed to do (i.e. loop. barrel roll, ect.)

How about Adventure Express---granted they aren't the 91-92 crew but they are the nicest in the park on most days! I vote for them!

I agree with almost everything....but what about the dorks that ride Zepher? KEEP YOUR FEET AND HANDS TO YOURSELF!! Seems like everytime I go and ride it to just relax, some morons (and that is a compliment!!) are swinging more than apes in a jungle and they hit my swing. I swear that they have to warn them at least 3 times during the 2 minute ride! I say --WARN ONCE--BOUNCE TWICE! As for those Michael Jordon wannabees and those %&^$ basketballs---QUIT BOUNCING THEM!! or join the NBA. Ok I'll get off my soapbox now! Have a great day gang!

Yeah the famous catch phrases of the Hanna Barbara characters (Yabba Dabba Doo, Scooby Doo, where are you?,) and something about the Banana Splits were in the song was in that song as well. It was just a haunting melody that still goes through my mind (what I have left of it! lol) every once in a while. I wish that I could just find that *$%^$ song! ARGH! Have a great day! Also looks like they are more intently looking underneath the train, so it might be the wheels---it was taken in 2000, so the wheels were not really up-to-par and they were having trouble with the speed of the trains, so it might be where the wheels failed, probably broke off, causing it to skid to a stop. US ARMY!! BE ALL YOU CAN BE!! .

What part of the ride is it? Is it by the lift hill, or at the "rose bowl" turns? US ARMY!! BE ALL YOU CAN BE!!

There could be many things to contribute to that getting stuck. Brakes being too tight, not releasing properly, emergancy brakes kicking in, (which probably what it was because that happens on The Vortex every year at least once LOL), too cold to run it , wheels not being oiled, anything. Yeah I just went to that coaster website -- all it says is that they were working on a stuck train. Must have been before it opened to the public or during a a morning test run. Don't look like there was anyone on it when this occured, so at least there were no injuries. But you know a big operation like PKI hates bad publicity, especially when its a major attraction. Sorry but thats all the info I could 'dig up'. US ARMY!! BE ALL YOU CAN BE!!
