How about we leave him alone and let him explore the park as he sees fit. He has a proven track record of seeing the problems and fixing them. Let's give him a chance to do what he does.

From following Matt while at Disneyland, I think this is the greatest news for Cedar Fair and Kings Island. I don't think you will be seeing 100+ million dollar dark rides installed at any of the parks, but when Kings Island installs an attraction I now have hope that it will be maintained to look and operate like new year after year. Matt seems to understand that you can not just build it and forget it. Very excited for the future of the Cedar Fair parks with Matt at the helm.

I don't know if this was posted yesterday, but Cedar Fair named a former Team Disney Anahaim President the new president of Cedar Fair. http://www.daytondailynews.com/news/ohio-news/cedar-fair-names-ex-disney-exec-as-president-1189309.html Matt was a great president out at Disneyland, he is credited with bring Disneyland back to it's glory and focus on attention to details. He brought the subs back to life and restored many of the maintenance budgets the were cut prior to his arrival at TDA. He often visited the parks to see what the guest experience. I think this is great news for KI and a hope of theming returning to the park.

I think it will be a real shame if PKI only has School of Rock and Star Search Live. I believe many people will be disappointed if this is true.

Does anyone know if the lighting for Winterfest on the Eiffel Tower will be permanent? It looks much better then the old flood lights they have for it.

A_Titanic_Mess, you may have been a full time employee, but honestly from your post on here today, I doubt it. In my position at the park I interacted with many from upper management, and from my experience with them you sound like none of them. I also doubt any of them would make such post on this website. I am sorry you did not enjoy you time at Winterfest. I hope that PKI will be able to improve the event and hopefully bring you back one year to enjoy the event.

The park looks amazing! I have to say I am truly impressed with the amount of work and detail I see them putting into Winterfest. I think that it will be a very special event for everyone that attends. We can only hope that this will continue to grow and improve for years to come. The Festhaus looks in the best shape it’s been in years, and I can’t help but notice all the extra theatrical lighting they put up through out the park. I wonder why wings will not be open, since all of rivertown will be open, I would have thought wings with a little entertainment in there would be a very popular spot to warm up.

Yes it is a rumor, thus the IF in the subject line. But higher ups from PKI have hinted at it, and it has been asked on a survey or two.

I was just wondering, if Winterfest does return for 2005 when do you think PKI will make the annoucement? I for one feel that they could possibly wait until the end of summer to make an annoucement to boost 2006 season pass sales.
