  1. The guy that owns it sales trailers, on property
  2. Journey to Atlanatis is an awesome coaster with incedible themeing. Does anyone think we could see this type of ride at KI anywhere in the future?
  3. which is something we didn't have, and it didn't hurt adding one.
  4. Why not 100% and 100%? Another thing about the big parks is that they don't put in new rides every year. Sure IOA can have massive rides that are heavily themed...whens the last time they put in a new ride? I'd be cool if KI didn't put in new rides every year, if we could get something like a Incredible Hulk, or a superman, or Jurrasic Park.
  5. That area does look awesome. Why is everyone so stressed about getting a new area, we just got a new one like 5 years ago.
  6. As an employee, the park creates an oppourtunity for many many good friendships to blossom. It is a fun job despite what some may say, and it has great perks! As a guest, the park is just fun. Its a big park with lots to do for the whole family. Plenty of rides and coasters, stores, restaurants, and shows for everyone. Its an oppourtunity for some to experience their favorite movies. Also for being a theme park, it is still very scenic and appealing to relaxation. Like smurff said, its a great enviroment to just walk around. It is also a very safe and secure place to be. You don't see a lot of bad things happening at the park. We take a lot of extra precautions to make sure things stay that way. There's a reason we haven't had any major accidents in over 10 years, and why if you ask any security guard what his day entails and the most exciting thing he can say is reuniting lost kids with their parents. PKI is just an all around great place to be.
  7. Ps. Bubba Gumps is the best movie themed restauant anywhere...Anyone disagree? I think not
  8. I'm not happy with the fact that Bubba gumps falls in the category of "etc". Just for that I'm going to have to agree with Player and ask what you're smoking? However you're right! We're in the new age of Paramount Parks. This isn't your taft broadcasting park anymore. We're not bringing in any worlds 1st. But...On the other hand I would have to say that we're on the bottom of the food chain in theme parks right now. First, Paramount parks is the only seasonal and regional movie park chain, meaning we are at a serious disadvantage financially. The big year round desitination parks have the cash to build huge rides and spend tons of money on theming at the same time. Compare our themed rides to any other the other theme parks and its' obvious how far short we fall. IJST will have nothing on Return of the mummy. TR, SDATHC, WT, non of them come close to meeting the standards that have been set by Disney and universal. IMO we're coming off looking like cheap imitations. The one thing we have going for us is our world class kids area. We are in an interesting niche right now. we're not really competing with the other regional parks, but we can't compete with the big boys. I say we need something big like the Dragons, Hulk, Expedition Everist, ROTM or something along those lines before we can be taken seriously as a theme park. I think a themed B&M Inverted or Flyer will really set us apart. How about dueling Flyers? Look how the Dragons put IOA on the map. Everyone in the world has seen those babies on TV at some point in time. We are still one coaster away from being an absolutly blockbuster park. SOB was supposed to break us through, but we all know what happened with that. We need something Huge, something fun, something well themed, entertaining, and something that moves people.
  9. And in an unprecidented sweep for the first time ever on PKIC the yes and no's appear to have this one well in hand folks...
  10. I think I would die after 30 rides on Sonny... The rides I'm looking forward to the most are Raven and Legend!
  11. Oh yeah I forgot....I always ride The Beast at night, every visit.
  12. I think Face off/ fit perfectly into the park. The movie created an opportunity for a perfect name. The ride is short, and has low capacity, but it is fun non the less. It fit in that spot perfectly and is accompanied by 3 other coasters, and 2 major rides in the small area of Action Zone. I also think that it is somewhat sentimental that it occupies the spot of one of the first shuttle loop coasters...screamin demon.
  13. I love PKI with all of my heart. Sure, we can sit here and bicker about which is better CP or PKI. In my opinion it's CP. But how awesome is it that we have two parks of this caliber to argue about? Kings Island is an awesome park. Although we don't have a B&M. We do still have a pretty decent selection of coasters. We have the best kids area in the land, and some of the best flats around. And honestly, isn't it great to have rides themed after movies that aren't Disney or Universal? I don't believe I've ever poo'd my pants at Ki, but I have been going there all of my life and it gets better everytime. Kings Island also provided me with my first job, and being from Dayton, it was a job that not everyone else was doing. So when I would say "I work at Kings Island" I would always get the "COOL!" "That must be fun!" and of course the "Can you get me a free season pass?"...No! I cannot. But anywho, my job at King Island did a lot for me. It gave me the oppourtunity to advance and the chance to become a better leader. I've learned a lot about myself and others working there, and I've made lots of life long friends. Kings Island also helped me decide what I want to do in life. I am very thankul to the park for that, and PKI will always be my first love (although CP is more fun )
  14. What B&M coaster is close to being the tallest or fastest??? They are all just fun! B&M's are great for families, they're smooth, not overly scary, and have great line speed. Plus they are fun! Even seaworld has B&M's.
  15. Why won't we ever get a B&M?
  16. ^ So does International St.
  17. I was at media day for Tomb Raider...Where was she at in the IR?
  18. before I started working there, everytime I visited the park I had to have 3 things... Blue icecream, a funnel cake, Larosa pizza by the fountain at night. Also I too still use the taste great/less filling on the Viking ship, where did that come from, and why doesn't anyone do it anymore?
  19. Bubba's has buffalo wings on the back bar, and Fresh brewed ice tea. As for the tacos and the philly cheese steaks...I'm with you guys!
  20. Angelina Jolie came for the TRTR opening?
  21. It appears that PCW's helicopter is hidden from the public...wish ours was
  22. ...If instead of staying home and doing homework, you take it to the park with you and do it in Coney mall because its less distracting than being at home thinking about being at KI.
