  1. it looks slower than what i thought it would be.
  2. You can't compare a parks attendence in that way. First do both parks have the same square feet of path ways? Do more people stand in line for rides at one park then then the other? How much time do you spend in the childrens areas of the park? You know a little kid counts as a guest as well. How many operating days are there in each parks season? You CAN NOT compare just on looking around and saying well it feels like there are more people here. Just an FYI CP was open 146 days last year and PKI 130. CP opens for daily operation earlier then PKI does and is open on friday evenings in September and October plus PKI rents out the park most weekends in September. Plus just what days your at a park have a huge effect on how many people there are. I went to cp usually tues-thursday even when it is pouring. So what? I said it before and I will say it again you can not compare parks based on just looking around and saying you believe there are more people in the park. I had forgotten one of the most important things about why can not use this as a way to tell how many people are in a park. The parks layout has a lot to do with how you feel about the crowd in a park. I spent some time and finally found attendence figures for Soak City. It was only 405,000 guests. Which combined with the CP figures does put them at 3.6 million. Part of the problem is this would double count guests who go to both CP and Soak City in a single day so who knows how many of those guests just visited Soak City. But the most important reason why you can not count it like that is simple money they are still seperate ticketed attrations. If a guest spends half the day riding coasters and half the day at BB PKI does not get a penny extra. Where if a guest spends part of the day in CP and the rest in Soak City then Cedar Fair gets extra at some point either a higher end Season pass or a couple of dollars extra on the ticket price. That has nothing to do with what i am saying. CP is alot larger and has larger midways than pki. More people don't go to SC because it cost so much extra. If BB was extra then the park atendance #'s would go to cp just counting amusement parks.
  3. it might be on passes just processed.

  5. You can tell by walking the midways that there are more people in CP then PKI excluding boomerang bay.
  6. After a course of a year it adds up.
  7. But Soak City is added admission. if boomerang bay was extra then you took attendance from both parks CP would be higher.
  8. Got to the park at 10:45, to my demise they said park was closing at 12. So i went in got a ride on delerium, then i went and rode beast front row, then on my way out of the park stopped and took a front row ride on FoF. I would have let SoB run!
  9. Whats your point? It is whatever your preference is, if you want coasters more people go to the point, if they want a family outing they go to pki.
  10. Yes, when I said I didn't want PKI to get a clone of something I meant the layout. I wouldn't want the layout to be the same as MF, but I really would like to see PKI get an Intamin hyper or giga coaster. If we get a hyper or giga it better be an intamin. B&M has said before they won't build anything over 300' as of yet. Intamin builds more thrilling coasters than b&M does. Intamin puts no trims on their rides like the sros's and mf and so on, b&m trims them to death.
  11. Why consider them clones when they are?
  12. Yeah, he can't get nobody that hot.
  13. okay from 10:00 AM to 6PM that gives me 8 hours. If there is no line and say i can catch a train every 5 minutes that would be 8hours X 60 minutes = 480 minutes, If I can average a ride every 5 minutes that would put me at 96. I hope there will be no line at all so I can re-ride multiple times without getting off, It will be close though. I plan on the park closing about 6 anyways. I wonder if any of the ride ops would think i was crazy?
  14. Dude, its going to be walk on's all day. I am going for a 100 laps on Son of Beast. My Goal for the season is 1000 laps on SoB.
  15. There are several more thousand people that just goes to boomerang bay and not the ride park a day during the summer. If you just took theme park attendance CP's would be higher.
  16. Walk on's all day for me on saturday!!!!
  17. What would they close? Steel machines run till 32 degrees, what the hell would they shut down.
  18. Half the people are at the water park. I went to the point 4 times last year, each time the wait times for both ttd and milly were nearly identicle. Then later in the season even on a sat. the first bonus weekend, the line for ttd was barely 25 minutes compared to over an hour for milly. Parks run train operation depending on attendance. I was at pki several times where racer was just running the front, and beast and sob was both running one train. Flight of Fear takes 4-5 minutes between launches with the screwed up seat belt lap bar configuration. They should just run 1 train on that ride, it wouldn't hurt capacity that much more.
  19. as of 4:00 PM on Thursday from the weather channel: Saturday, 70% chance of rain with a high of 47. It will be walk ons all day.
  20. Larosa's prices are not that different in the park then they are at the restaurant. I think larosas sucks a**. Everybody says the sauce makes it better, whatever. Its like the post earlier about the wierd taste of skyline chili its nasty, but people from cincinnati swear its the best. It must be in the water here.
  21. Its called Superman ride of steel. It is under 300' but taller than 200' thus making it a hyper. I agree the only airtime i get on MF is on the thrid hill and that little mound by the station on the return blows.
  22. like I said if it is ran flawlesy than there will be a launch train hitting the course every minute. 60 launches multiplied by 12 people equals 720 riders per hour. If the course was longer and have 5-6 trains on course it could get to about a 1100 or so. Theoretically there is no way on earth it will do 850-1000 pph.
  23. IJST on steroids will never average 1000 pph. One Loading, one unloading, and one on track. If there is three launches then there would be 6 blocks so they could run 5-6 trains. But they only have three trains. Each train seats 12 people. I see a train launching from the station every 3 minutes or so. So you take 3 minutes divided by an hour which will be 20 launches per hour multiplied by 12 people which will equal 240 PPH. Hell give them a lauch every minute that would be 60 multiplied by 12 equals 720 peeps per hour that would be the best it could ever do! Dragster is lucky to launch every minute so that equals 18 peeps per train multiplied by 60 launches equals 1080 PPH. PKI the land of low capacity, that is why the waterpark is free with admission to lure guests away from the rides. Sad but its true.
  24. i will be the first to be honest. It sucks!!!!
  25. We all know that we won't get a new coaster till 07. Paramount will learn the hard way and the IJST will flop, it just won't be thrilling enough. If they get smart they will build a hyper or maybe a giga with lenght, we got plenty of room, that is what is going to draw crowds, look at the point, the force is 5 years old and even on a slow day it is like a hour wait. A rocket has no staying power, when ttd is 5 years old the line will be 15-20 minutes tops. PKI needs to build a people mover, there are to many rides at pki with a capacity below a thousand people per hour. Face/off, Flight of Fear, IJST, runnaway reptar, drop zone.
