  1. I know I put this in a post but I think it was lost b/c of the tech problem...They were playing the Mean Girls preview thing which includes the word "slut" which I find completely rude and offensive especially for a family coaster.
  2. I don't know what kind of rough you guys are calling fun b/c I find any kind of roughness painful and completely funless (if that is even a word).
  3. It would be cool if they redid it into an ?Intiman? launched invert like Volcano. I like that idea better than getting a clone of the Top Gun invert.
  4. Ok I just realized something, Medusa and Scream have the EXACT same layout! Did anyone else realize this? In a way this tackyness doesn't surprise me.... http://rcdb.com/ig502.htm?picture=11 http://rcdb.com/ig2169.htm?picture=19 Anyway, I think SF would have to re-theme a ton of rides b/c most are Paramount (semi if at all**cept TR and IJ**) themed rides.
  5. You all are going to call me crazy but i think that The Beast is rougher than the SoB. I do like The Beast, but SoB does more for me. The only thing I don't like is the drop b/c I like drops immediatly after the lift (if you don't know what I mean, I mean like on The Beast's First drop and The Racers). That doesn't make any sense but I don't know how else to word it at 11:30 at night.
  6. This explains a lot! I knew I posted in the Batman vs. Superman topic lol!
  7. I agree. I think they should have AT LEAST put in the park section titles. IMO, the 2004 map was much easier to read and comprehend. I don't like how 'big' it seems when you open it completely....IDK if you guys feel that way or not but it feels bulky when you try to look at it. It also annoys the crap out of me that they have the wrong Top Gun logo on the map. They should have just used the movie logo that just says "Top Gun" instead of using the inverted version. Also, it took me a LONG time to realize what the siver thing is in The Vortex logo (robotic arm) b/c I've never seen it before.
  8. NO! I love Mantis! I hope they don't put floorless trains on it. I don't see why they don't just add a new floorless. Then they could market it better (verses: hey look, we put floorless trains on mantis!). Plus it would up their coaster and inversion count.
  9. Ride FoF first, it always gets really crowded (and for first time PKIers, the line can be decieving). Then I would head over to Tomb Raider (if you don't want to, then I would ride it just to ride it b/c there surely wont be a line). After that I would hit Action Zone. Then, they rides waits on the "major" attractions that I didn't list shouldn't have bad lines. Oh, and if you want to, you can hit Beast when you ride Tomb Raider.
  10. Could HB be considered a major attraction? Maybe they are going to do the big Nick expansion or w/e (meaing the removed attraction being HB). Edit: I'm trying to think outside of the box or w/e b/c I don't believe they will be removing SoB, FoF, Vortex, or TG (at least this year ...top gun hehehehe)
  11. ^HA! WOW, it took me a couple minutes to get the chicken one. At first I thought it meant like no chickens are allowed to cross the road or something...lol
  12. When I went last year and this year, they were playing the message deally at FoF. I agree though that ALL of the queue line TVs need to be replaced and updated; it would hurt if they cleaned the protective glass things once in a while......
  13. I don't know about being the smoothest wooden roller coaster I've ever ridden...but I do think people over-exagerate the roughness of it just b/c they can. It's really only rough for me b/c I barely fit in the train b/c I have a REALLY hard time getting the lap bar over my knees and I feel squished(sp).
  14. ....17/25 I guessed on at least three and got them right lol. Most of them were pretty simple and obvious, but the ones that go way back before I even knew of PKI I missed. missed #'s:5,8,9,11,17,20,22,24
  15. I HATE IT when people smoke b/c then you generally get that "cig smoke" smell on you....it makes me gag. It really annoys me when people smoke in the lines anyway. I think I put this in my TR but I'll say it again anyway, this chick was smokeing and blowing smoke right in our faces and the ride op played that recording that tells you not to smoke in lines. Well, she and other people kept on smoking. From my visit about a month ago, not vary many people are following teh ban or are unaware of it b/c we saw many people just smoking in the pathways and stuff.

    New Paramount Park

oops, my bad...I swore I put it in...he he he. The article is from thrillnetwork.com http://thrillnetwork.com/stories_view.php/1040
  17. Has anyone else heard about the new Paramount park in Hangzhou, China? It is going to challenge the up and coming Hong Kong Disneyland. Edit: sorry here's the link http://thrillnetwork.com/stories_view.php/1040
  18. I don't even know why you would want a wooden invert....idk...to me it just sounds pointless. What would you ride, a wooden invert, or a steel invert like Raptor....I would choose Raptor, or any other steel invert.
  19. ^HA thats funny! Anyway, what I meant by "smooth" was something that was as smooth on a wooden roller coaster's standard.
  20. The supports would completely surround you. It would be like just being directly below a track on any wooden roller coaster....sounds really weird...I'm sceptical on how it could be build and be SMOOTH!
  21. The longest I've waited was 2 hrs and 45 mins for MF last year. It was totally worth the wait but I would never wait that long for a ride at Kings Island though (well maybe for the first time ride on IJ:ST)....I have more patience for Cedar Point rides b/c most of them are more intense.
  22. it was only 15 bucks per person last weekend. Don't know if that is a price for the entire season or just a special offer; the movies are only 10 . . . but no sound.
  23. We rode it around 10ish, if you did see us though, i'm a tall red head and prlly with a ton of other loud teans lol . . . Um . . . they were all girls w/ I think blonde hair and pony tails. I was the (again) red head with the short kid and I was like really nervous and like wouldn't watch the people that went before us and stuff. EDIT: is it just me or is the quote button not working right?
  24. As soon as we got to the park, we had to wait for about fifteen minutes because the rides weren't open yet. As soon as the clock struck ten, we headed to FoF. The ride was practically a walk on; we had to wait for one train. Next we headed to Vortex; also a walk on. Then, I decided to ride TR:TR for the first time; also a walk on. The intro movie was awesome and gave a real feel to the ride. When we loaded on the ride, I was greatly surprised at the size of this huge monster. The special effects were a whole lot better than what I thought they would be. Overall, I was really impressed and sad that I had put off riding this ride for so long. We then headed to Beast, walkon. We rode it twice in the back b/c no one was in line. My friends wanted to ride stupid water rides since it was raining. I could care less about water rides so me and a couple other smart people watched the idiots get completely soaked. We then headed to Scooby Doo Haunted Castle where I got 1320 (dumbest ride ever). After SD, we headed to drop zone and only had to wait about 20 min. A couple girls in our group decided to leave when we got in line so they could eat. Well, as soon as we were getting ready to ride, they come and line hop in front of everyone. We yelled at one and she still came but the other one stayed. We got so many dirty looks . . . I was really embarressed. The drop for some reason seemed really short, but w/e. Next we went to ride Delirium. Best ride I've ever had on it. We then headed to SoB where it we only waited about 20 min. We rode in the middle back car; it was the smoothest ride I have ever had! They really improved it . . . or maybe I'm crazy. After SoB, I talked a friend into riding SlingShot with me. Sad thing is, when we got in it, I was more scared than him. I was literally flipping out. We decided to split the cost of the movie and just share it. Before we bought it, I asked they guy if it had sound and he clearly stated YES. There's no f-ing sound. After Sling we grabbed a milkshake at Happy Days, wait was pothetic for one milkshake (at least 5 min). Then we got in line for Vortex and rode in the front . . . most intense seat in my opinion. After Vortex some the same stupid people that wanted to ride water rides wanted to go on SpongeBob in the FX theatre . . . We ended up losing them and rode Tex again. We eventually caught up with them and we headed to Face/Off. It rained while we rode it but it only made it more fun. Again though, the same girls line hopped (by then was really P'ed off along w/ everyone in line.) They then wanted to ride Viking Fury; that ride has no thrill. They wanted to ride again so I went with someone else in our group to go ride The Racers. We rode forwards and backwards. The predicted thunderstorms scared away a lot of the crowds, but it never did rain hard. Overall, this was the best PKI trip I've ever had. My only regret was I didn't get to ride IJ:ST, no one wanted to wait in line for it b/c they thought it was going to be dumb . . . Oh well, my mom is talking about taking me again this summer . . . maybe.
  25. ^^Yea, I think SoB is pretty over rated. It gets a lot of celebrity form being the only wooden roller coaster with a loop. I mean, think about it, if it didn't have a loop would you even ride it? I know I wouldn't. It's too rough.
