  1. I wanna see rally racing around the park.
  2. I visited the park for the first time this season on this day. Well, I don't think I'll be going to the park on a Saturday again anytime soon. I rode 5 things the whole day.
  3. Hmm, as I see it the park is a business. With most businesses, the goal is to make money. Harry Potter is a very popular book/movie series. Retheming the ride could bring more people to the park who would be willing to spend more money (Though I do believe the park does pretty good as it is). I intend on running my own business someday and making lots of money with it, that's just who I am. So, I don't blame them for this if it is their decision to change the ride. Well, that and I enjoy HP.
  4. Which is precisely why I intend to make my own. Sounds like a perfectly great idea to me. I've always wanted to make the basic outline of a car from The Beast or something into the coolest bed frame ever.
  5. If there was one thing I learned about water skiing or anything similar it is... when your skis fall off, let go of the rope. I didn't.
  6. I remember seeing, back when news first got out of this supposed park, some renderings. However, they were also ones the same company had used for a park they were going to build somewhere else. Let me throw this out there: I think this is a terrible idea.
  7. That's great!!!! It looks like he is getting electrocuted and just won't let go of the grips!!!!!! Ryan From the angle, it almost looks as though the guy with the freaky eyes is pulling the hair of the girl in front of him.
  8. I was watching the Kentucky Derby while they were interviewing the Cowboy's owner who had learned about the collapse about half an hour before. I hope everyone is okay, though it looks as though some may not be.
  9. Ah! It's a pun! Sorry, I'm really bored. This trains do seem pretty interesting regardless.
  10. Keep in mind the numbers Disney employs. -http://www.wdwmagic.com/facts!.htm In addition, think about the extra step Disney usually goes to completely immerse park patrons into the created environment. I'm not saying that the other parks aren't doing a great job with their parks, but I'm simply saying I would find it more likely for Disney to go the extra step in cleaning park vandalism.
  11. Yeah, I saw the PM thing and thought, "Yeah...no." So I just deleted it.
  12. My guess is that they've added all the chemicals to the water and are filtering it more and more as opening day approaches. But, I don't know.
  13. Well either it rained and they turned the drain off, or they are starting to fill the pool back up.
  14. We stop at the Rio Grande McDonald's on our way for a quick breakfast.
  15. Landscape architect...I might have to start taking that one. All this talk about turnstiles reminds me of one bad memory...While leaving KI one day (I was probably about 4 or 5) I decided I could squeeze through the turnstile in front of a family member. Somehow I managed to wedge my head and body into the turnstile. It hurt, and I cried. Luckily my mother was able to free me from the grip of the turnstile.
  16. There still is one question to ask...how did you learn what you know about turnstiles?
  17. What?! Terpy, Terpy, Terpy. You should know by now to read before you post Anyways, I assume you meant more than the sales person, and if so, that is pretty bad on the salesguy's part. The post had been edited before you replied but not on your screen. And yes, the product.... All too many salespeople know all too little about their products... Are you sure? It's commision based, and you make money only when you make a sale. Well, fair enough. I'd rather have a salary based pay.
  18. How does one end up in the business of selling turnstiles? I think I want that job.
  19. My first looper was Son of Beast. It was...an experience. I went with two of my then good friends. None of us wanted to admit we were scared about something, so we instead rode it all.
  20. I was watching the parade with my mother when this happened. I got up and was flipping out because of how funny I thought it was. Then I had to explain to my mother what a "Rick Roll" was.
  21. When I first read this, I didn't catch the sarcastic wink at the end so I was sitting at my computer dumbfounded until I realized it was there.
  22. Well, if they do astroturf it up, I'd be more than happy to take care of the mowing for the park.
  23. I was just thinking this. While I am perfectly happy with what Kings Island is, it must have been meant to be so much more. I noted the guy talking about the golf courses across the highway and mini golf at the campground as well as nature trails there. Does anyone want to elaborate on those for me? As far as I know, they didn't ever exist. I'm not sure about a nature trail at the campground, but there was a nature trail in Rivertown at the far end (circa early and mid 1970s before The Beast). The entrance was at the end of the path bracketed by the individual canoes (where KCKC and TRTR later occupied) and the war canoes (where Beast resides currently). The trail curved around, went down the side of the hill to the creek that runs under the KIMVRR trestle, crossed over a small bridge and back up the hill on the other side. The trail going up the hill would be to the left of where the Diamondback's bottom of second hill is today. You could easily see the trail from the train when going over the trestle. Okay, thank you!
