  1. Well, that seems to be a pretty good sign then. And you're definitely right about Raging Bull, but that didn't stop me from riding it 10 times in one day a few years back.
  2. If this ordeal over brakes escalates anymore, I think the mods might have to step in and break it up. Okay, I'm sorry. That was completely unnecessary, but it sure beats finishing the research paper I need to turn in... Just as long as the trims aren't obvious (referring to feeling them slowing the train down) then I'll be happy. It just kills me on The Beast though, when you can easily feel the brakes holding it back from unleashing it's true fury.
  3. Indeed, I saw that. But by saying 'resort patron' I made myself feel smarter.
  4. Hmm, seems like a nice response to tough economic times. I'm glad to see they are thinking of the resort patron.
  5. Well, one can only hope Mr. Norris has already fulfilled his 'roundhouse kick to the face' quota for the day, and that we are safe from that most excruciating demise.
  6. Don Helbig is the reason why Waldo is hiding. Don Helbig can believe it's not butter. Don Helbig can divide by zero.
  7. I haven't had any problems with this site. The only issues I ever have are when my internet decides to cut out for no apparent reason. Comcastic? Not hardly.
  8. $1.78 and quite happy with it. The next time I put gas in my van will be the first time I've done so with a smile on my face (This is assuming the prices don't go back up.)
  9. Hmm...our biggest snow of last year was probably under 6 inches. I think most people in our area take the weather as more of a challenge to see how fast they can commute in the snow, rather than slow down for the weather.
  10. Can I participate too? Tubaman, who gave it his all.
  11. Snakes on a Plane, what a great example of American cinema. *Looks at his special edition S.O.A.P. DVD box*
  12. I'm thinking, just by going on what we have already seen, that DB will be a very photogenic coaster. Perhaps along the lines of Goliath at SFoG.
  13. Or some individuals favorite ride might be somebody elses firewood.
  14. I'm still all hyped up on caffine after going to the midnight showing of Quantom of Solace...so I feel the need for a pointless post, considering I'll be at school in roughly 5ish hours. Sorry for the pointless post. Anywho, I'm quite pumped about DB.
  15. I think the building is where they are going to keep the diamonback snakes when they aren't in the snake pit, terrorizing guest.
  16. I know this hasn't been talked about for a page or so, but I'm going to miss that little bit of trees that used to be by The Beast entrance. I would always duck in there for a quick minute or two of shade on a sunny day after riding The Beast. However, I think it's a trade I'm willing to make for DB.
  17. Well, from just now looking, it seems they are it in place. I can't wait!
  18. Okay, so maybe the people with engineering degrees on here can answer my question. I've noticed some seemingly unique ways the supports have been built on DB. Is it just because of the ground below that they had to be built that way (as in something below the coaster prevented what usually is seen in B&Ms other than Great Bear) or is there some further reason that because of my poor mathematical skills, will never understand? This is what I'm referring to... Edit: Woops, I thought I had highlighted the region I meant to focus on...but it didn't work.
  19. I found Mean Streak to be the second most un-enjoyable coaster I have been on. It is only second to American Eagle at SFGAm in my opinion. Both of those coasters had too many negatives that took away any positives they had. However, I will say that I find SoB to be rough yet enjoyable at the same time. But, then again I do have a bias to anything KI.
  20. Wow...though I doubt the chances in me making it out there, I am quite excited about this.
  21. You are a sick, sick person. Haha
  22. Haha...yes. "DO NOT PICK THE CORN" We went home with a couple ears of corn that night. But I was terrified beyond reason, because the one time I went, gosh, 6 or 7 years ago, was when it was "haunted." I don't take being scared well. At all.
  23. Also, take note how the construction methods differed. The track was placed before the concrete was poured on Sheikra's waterbrake. That's one thing I always wondered about...http://rcdb.com/ig2662.htm?picture=22
  24. Now, just to make sure you aren't making the same mistake I did... There is a chain in the picture Dane took, however it is part of the man lift. It took me a couple of minutes to realize this when I was first looking at the picture.
