  1. Found this article in the Cincy Enquirer. I honestly don't know how much truth is in this, but who knows. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...EWS01/309220015
  2. They are actually surveying the rumored site of Dominator. Part of the bus parking lot has been sectioned off as well. It's rumored the coaster will be part of International Street behind Beserker, and The Rugrat's Toonpike. Time will tell.
  3. WOW! What's really kewl is that it's two abreast seating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Cedar Fair, Canadas Wonderland, and B&M. This is what I have always wanted. Christmas came early!
  4. Kings Dominon has a stand-up coaster already. It's called "Shockwave" not Sky Rider. Thats at Canada's Wonderland.
  5. Guys please forgive me for mispelling "Cincinnati" in the head line. Trust I Know Better
  6. Church Buys Water Park Worship Center, Sports Complex Planned. FOREST PARK - The growing Inspirational Baptist Church is planning a $20 million investment over several years on the former Surf Cincinnati property here. This week, the church, whose congregation has grown from about 300 to 1,500 over the last five years, completed a $925,000 purchase of the 14.2-acre Surf Cincinnati site from Hoeweler Realty Inc. The outdoor water park, which featured a wave pool and a variety of slides, closed in 2002. The property on Sebring Drive overlooking Interstate 275 has been largely abandoned. Bishop Victor Couzens, senior pastor for the independent Baptist church at 9208 Daly Road in Springfield Township, said the first phase of the project, expected to cost between $6 million and $8 million, includes a 1,500-seat worship center with a 300-seat chapel. The church also wants to build a 15,000-square-foot indoor sports complex with a roller-skating rink, and room for volleyball, soccer and other indoor sports. Couzens said the church also plans to restore one of the swimming pools on the property, which, like the sports complex, would be open to the public. "We want these facilities to be open to the community, so they can be part of revitalization of the area," he said. A second phase calls for building a $10 million hotel and conference center on part of the property. Couzens said the church, which was founded in Walnut Hills 50 years ago, is in discussions with a hotel developer for that phase slated for 2010 or 2011. Further in the future, he said, the church wants to build a $4 million social-services center that would offer job training, tutoring and other community services. The church, which draws its congregation from an area stretching from Northern Kentucky to Dayton, Ohio, will launch a capital fundraising campaign this fall for the first phase of the project slated to begin in 2009. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art.../708030332/1076
  7. I was at SFA recently also, and I agree the park is getting better. They still have a ways to go, but the park seems to get better and better each season. I love SROS as well, its a close second behind Milli. The Skull Mountain (Typhoon Sea Coaster) is even better now that two of the three turn tables have been removed. I did manage to get a ride on it, only after being stuck on the main lift for about 10 minutes. Me and my party didn't mind seein as how we had a great view of Wild One, and Roar. Six Flags America is a great park. It could stand some major tweeking in some departments just like all parks but overall its a great time. I think people are way to hard on SFA. It's actually one of my favorites! My Amazing Theme Park Photos! http://www.flickr.com/photos/airromeo4ever/

  10. Well it's completely understandable especially considering the severity of the accident at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom! My heart goes out to the girl. I can't imagine something like this happening to me.
  11. Only 12 riders per train, they have got to be adding more cars, but then again who knows. Either way I will be GLAD to see Sonny make its grand redebut!!!! Check Out My Pics Everybody! http://www.flickr.com/photos/airromeo4ever/ Thanks!
  12. WoW so many to choose from. I guess I would have to say "Flight of Fear". The Beast Is 2nd, and Vortex is 3rd!
  13. He should be fine, he may have to cross his ankles on Top Thrill Dragster though. The floor doesn't drop on Wicked Twister so I would raise my feet during the station fly throughs.
  14. I still think Geauga Lake is going to be a fun place. Yeah they removed two major coasters, but they still have: The Villain, Dominator, Thunderhawk, and The Raging Wolf Bobs. Plus a slammin water park. I for one look forward to visiting soon. Honestly If Cedar Fair wants to turn Geauga Lake's slump around, one word "Nickalodeon". Turn the entire 50's area into a giant Nickalodeon area. Add a new spinning compact coaster similiar to the "Tony Hawk" coasters themed to all the Nick characters as the staple attraction, and new log flume/coaster style ride themed to Spongebob and the entire Bikini Bottom cast! I tell ya it would be pure genius. Maybe even market it as being the most Nickalodeon themed stuff in one amusement park to further promote it. Just my 2 cents, im anxious to hear what ideas everyone else has. Make The 2007 Season A Special One Guys!
  15. WOW - Oh Well, I'm still gonna give it a fair chance. I still think it's gone be a kick but coaster! Hey wanna see something interesting, check this out! http://www.flickr.com/photos/no3rdw/185289341/
  16. Just checked out the videos, very nice, makes me antisipate my 2007 trip to Holiday World even more!
  17. Amazing Photos!!! Looks Like It's Going To Be An Amazing Season!!! Firehawk Is The Perfect Addition To Kings Island!!! So Can We Consider "X - Base" A New Themed Land?
  18. Hello everybody! I have yet to visit Kings Island so far this year, I plan to in a few weeks. I live in VA about a hour southeast of Kings Dominion actually. Now Kings Dominion looks awesome. I'm amazed at some of the changes, and I know even better things are going to happend. I have also heard some awesome things about Kings Island this year, and the impression Cedar Fair is making on the park. It can only mean great things to come. I for one am confident that Kings Island is a top priority park for Cedar Fair, im guessing right behind Cedar Point! I'm highly antisipating my multi-day visit. I keep hearing everyone complain about food prices. I think everyone forgets that a theme park is still a bussiness. Cedar Fair has aquired a billion plus dollar dept in less than a year with the purchase of the five former Paramount Parks. They have to somehow make that money back. Praying that the dept will go away wont cut it. Everyone has the option to either eat before arriving at the park, leave for a hour or so and grab something at one of the thousand fast food places and sit down restaraunts within five miles of the park, or pack a lunch and eat it in the parking lot. All theme parks over charge for food and beverages. Most of the time the food is very good, but if your fries are cold then just go back to the counter and "KINDLY" demand new fresh fries. That goes for anything your not happy with: cold pizza, warm drinks, cold burgers, or stale popcorn. It's up to YOU to create a wonderful experience. No food stand or restaraunt actually sets a goal to serve cold or bad food, but sometimes things slip pass them. I have rarely experieced a bad meal at any theme park, and I'm well aware its not going to be cheap before even entering. A Good Example: Most movie theaters charge around $18.00 for a bucket of pop corn and two medium drinks. That pop corn and drinks is whats keeping that theater open. Most of the ticket price goes to the studio (Paramount, Universal, Waner Brothers, Lions Gate) of the movie your about to see. People arrive at theater expecting to pay that much. Your actually getting less than a dollars worth of popcorn and drinks. Imagine that. Trust me it takes millions of dollars every season to keep Kings Island and other major parks in the world open for bussiness. For the most part Kings Island is rather affordable. Who goes to a theme park broke? What I'm saying is expect large crowds, long lines, technical glitches, and high food prices. It's a living breathing bussiness. Don't sweat the small stuff, just be happy that Kings Island and all the former Paramount Parks are in the very very very good hands of Cedar Fair! Awesome things are definately on the horizon! Make The 2007 Season The Best One Ever!!!
  19. LOL - I ment 2006. Thanks for catching that. Is this a prediction? The thing is far more reliable these days, and is even running four trains! (You DID say 2007...)
  20. Me and a freind waited 5.5 hours for Kingda Ka Columbus Day 2006. We had a blast while waiting though.
  21. I agree 110%. Kings Island has the perfect mix of everything. Cedar Fair has to be aware of the potential of Kings Island. Hundreds of acres of undeveloped land, millions of fans, the parks amazing location, and the best family value in the major theme park industry! For example: I live a few minutes from Busch Gardens Europe. BGE is a very very nice park. The scenery and themeing will take your breath away, but BGE has seriously dropped the ball when it comes to family entertainment and value. There is very little for little ones and their parents to do at the park together. BGE has been decribed by locals as one big beer garden. I agree to an extent. BGE concentrates more on in park promotions of there beer and other alchoholic products with the numerous beer and wine outlets and two, yeah two beer schools. Is beer really that important that you need to honor it by having two beer schools in your park? A'm I missing something, is the history and production of beer now considered to be a family thing. I'm am well aware that Anhusear Busch is the owner of the parks, but the parks are part of Busch Entertainment. Therefore it's a different division! Promote fun and entertainment, not beer! The value is no longer there. Back in 80's and early 90's the atmosphere was different, and believe it or not it seemed more of a family experience. Don't get me wrong I love BGE, but their focus isn't on a total family experience. Yeah they are adding "Griffon" for 2007, but they removed a perfect family staple ride to add it. Granted Kings Island removed the Antique Cars to add Italian Job, but IJST caters to kids and their parents, and say what you want, but IJST Rocks!!!!!! It's unique, innovative, and fun! Kings Island has taken the ball and has run off the field with it. Droping Nick will be the biggest mistake Cedar Fair can make! They should incorporate the Nick characters and atmosphere at all of the Cedar Fair Parks! I really wanna see a record breaking Intamin Millennium Force style coaster at Kings Island in the near future, but at the same time expand Nick Universe or even add a Peanuts area. The possibilites are endless. I see more flats, dark rides, and roller coasters themed to more characters. If not Nick then the Peanuts Gang. Adding Avatar - The Last Airbender last season to the new Nick Universe is absolutly genius! I have heard nothing negative about this ride! Yeah Kings Island is the best. I realized that on my very first visit in May of 1997! It's been 10 years and I have been to the park nearly a dozen times. Kings Island is my favorite park for so many reasons. Not just the rides, shows, or amazing food offerings, but the unique atmosphere, and the unconditional love the freindly people of Cincinnati seem to have for the park. Mind you I live 9 hours away from Kings Island, but I will drop everything and make the trip at any given momment. I didn't visit last summer, but I will be there summer of 2007! It wasn't my intention to compare Kings Island and Busch Gardens with this post, but Im trying to prove a point. Family value whether or not you have a family is very important, and Kings Island has mastered it! That conbined with amazing roller coasters, flats, colorful scenery, mouthwatering cusine, and the unique atmosphere makes Kings Island the number one SEASONAL THEME PARK in the USA! Make The 2007 Season A Unforgettable One - Airromeo!
  22. Well I Would Suggest: For Nickalodeon Universe, A custom Gerstlauer Spinning Coaster. With some indoor elements highlighting not only Sponge Bob, but the entire Nickalodeon Family. Combined elements like: water, fog, fire, and mist will enhance the experience. A nice height of 80 feet, and a overall track length of 3200 feet would be nice. A lengthy ride chock full of comedy and uncontrollable spinning with low speed and not so steep drops. A onride video system should be installed in the middle of each train capturing the total experience. For Coney Mall or Action Zone: A Millenium Force Style out and back giga coaster speeding towards the "Little Miami River" would be super. With a theme that ties into the whole "Beast Family". Height should be 335 feet with a below grade drop of 355 feet, speeds well over 100 mph, several themed tunnels, mist, fog, and fire effects to enhance the experience. The turn around should be something thats unique and mind blowing. A high speed figure eight helix and ejector air bunny hops will end the experience. I'm looking at a track length of 8000 feet. Honestly, I think both of these attractions are very very possible. Cedar Fair may have already looked into concepts like this. I really hope so! Kings Island Forever - Airromeo 2007
  23. Hello everybody, this well be the year I travel all the way from Newport News, VA to visit my most favorite theme park, Kings Island. I'm excited about everything, especially the reintroduction of "Son of Beast". I won't finalize my plans till I get the initial word of when its set to reopen. Even if it doesn't reopen in 2007 I'm still visiting the greatest seasonal theme park in the world. I'm also looking forward to many night rides on The Beast. Me and my best freind, Ivan love this coaster! We also enjoy: Top Gun, Flight of Fear, Vortex, Adventure Express, The Racer, Tomb Raider, and of course The Italian Job Stunt Track. Say what you want, but his zany lil coaster scores really high in my book. I'm glad Kings Dominon has one too. Which is only a hour away from my current residence. Make Your 2007 Season At Kings Island & All The Cedar Fair Parks A Unforgettable One!!!!!!!! Airromeo!
  24. According to the 2007 map, WINGS Is Being Turned Into A All You Can Eat Buffet! It's going to be called "Wings Dinner Buffet" Featured items will be: fried chicken, hamburgers, pasta, salad bar, side dishes, drinks, and desserts. My question is will they still serve those delicious Montgomery Inn Ribs!?
  25. Personally I would love to see a out and back Millennium Force style coaster! I can just imagine what Mr. Stengel could desighn for the worlds most beautiful park - Kings Island!
